Not really a fidget, but watch Morse's hands guide Joan (and her not-so-clever colleague) through cracking the code. He looks like the conductor for their thought process. And because Morse is a kind person and wants to comfort Joan in this difficult situation, he pretends that she almost managed to solve the puzzle by herself. Look at her smile!

Not that I would disagree with that.

But I wonder if I'm the only one who wants to write a poem about the irresistible curve of his upper lip and his velvety voice that completely envelops you - especially when it comes from close range?

A rather late in the day Endeavour wardrobe team appreciation post for Gilet Slay Saturday.

No gilets but the wardrobe team did give us…

1. The smug motherfucker suit

2. The rolled up sleeved blue punting shirt

3. The boiler suit of lust

4. The too snug navy shirt of smugness

5. The check blue coat of confection

6. All of the Tuxes….

7. Emo Morse…

8. And of course the S9 glow-up. The long navy coat, the navy suit… I mean just season 9 really

Somehow this had not registered with me before.

Yes, even this man's tuxes have pockets of adequate size for the notebooks.

These aren't stunning screenshots by any means, but I thought I might post them to tempt anyone out there who might be interested in gifs (the scene *could* be right around 30min30s into the episode).

Just want to point out that there's actually an awful lot of fidgeting and notebook flipping actually going on here!
