I’m so sick of certain fans saying Elain just needs to give Lucien a chance 😩😭😩😭😩 I’m sorry, what has he done to deserve a chance?

Acknowledge her when discussing what was wrong with her? Nope, he was talking to Feyre and asked ‘what does she need?’ And was one of the ones who thought she was going mad.

Figure out what was wrong with her and her being a seer? Nope, that was Azriel.

Give her thoughtful gifts on Solstice? Nope, gave her gardening gloves cause duh she likes gardening and pearl earrings, does she even like pearls or was that just a basic choice?

Save her from Hybern? Nope, wasn’t around for that.

I’ll tell you what he did say that just solidified Elain not giving him a chance in my opinion. ‘I want to see if she’s worth it.’ Excuse me? If this is your mate you should know she’s worth it. Every body puts this on Elain like she’s supposed to just be on with this stranger announcing she is his mate and just go along with it without even acknowledging what she wants or needs. Lucien doesn’t deserve a chance yet, he hasn’t put in the work to receive one.

I am so excited to finally share this beautiful art with you all! Insta Lulybot did an amazing job and I’m so happy I had the chance to work with them.

The song I put with each commission I always listen to over and over to make sure I want to pair the two. When it came to this song, “You’re Still the One” by Eddie Tom (song is on Instagram post), I felt it was perfect for Elain and Azriel who want each other but are being told by others not to be together, that they shouldn’t or aren’t right for each other (ie Rhys, people who ship them with other people, etc) 🫶🏼

I don’t even see Lucien being heartbroken? I see him being relieved and able to live a life he wants instead of one he feels obligated to live. He doesn’t want to live in the Night Court and Elain doesn’t want to leave her family.

A book of them choosing their own fate is a hell of a lot more interesting than a forced mating bond that doesn’t make sense 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sarah is not going to overwrite an existing fated mates storyline just for Lucien to end up heartbroken and Elain to go be 2nd choice to Azriel

Happy first official week of fall everyone! In this commission, I wanted to show Elain and Azriel having a sweet moment together after sneaking off to an empty room. I imagine them having many little moments like this in Elain’s book and I can't wait to see how their relationship deepens once they finally act on their feelings for each other (please free them SJM).

Teresa is soo talented and captured the tenderness and gentleness I love about Elain and Azriel perfectly! Thank you so much for exceeding my expectations with this piece and being so wonderful to work with 💙
