Lottie shook her head as if to clear the mass of confusion and focused back on drinking. Her lips curled into a smile at being told she always looked good and she began to preen a little. Her glazed eyes catching those of the man she had been talking to just as Alessia turned her attention back to her. “I think we’ve established what it is I want and need tonight.” Something was niggling her about the way the domme was speaking but she just couldn’t put it together and shrugged it off after a moment. Downing the last of her drink she shrugged, “Thanks for the drink, I’ll see you later no doubt.”
Alessia suppressed a sigh and ignored the horrible twist her stomach did as she caught Lottie’s attention return to the man she had been with before they had started talking. She had clearly failed to make herself the more appealing option and she wasn’t going to force Lottie to go with her, drunk as she was it was still the submissive’s choice no matter how much she wanted to look after her. “Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll see me later,” she replied but even to her the playfulness sounded forced though Lottie probably wouldn’t notice. “Do I get a drunken kiss too or are they reserved for the males tonight?”

Mae giggled as Alessia continued, glad that her snippy remarks seemed to be totally forgiven and - hopefully - forgotten. “I’ll keep that in mind for the next time I have trouble sleeping, miss.” Visiting the university library had never entered her mind - she’d gone to the public library several times, but the university would have a wider section. “Can you do that? I would love the chance to visit library there - or take some classes.” That hadn’t occurred to her either; her parents had encouraged her to get a humanities degree, but she thought it might be fun to take other classes. “I’ve been trying not to make waves,” she said, trying not to think about how spectacularly she had failed in that area. “And so I wasn’t sure what Lord Silvius would think about me working or taking classes.” And she didn’t have any idea what she would be interested in; she’d like to do something with plants, if she could, although the whole family seemed involved in that and she didn’t know if it would be useful for her to join or not. She took the glass, amused at the amount of wine but certainly not complaining, and followed Alessia once more. It was either odd or a little sad, but she felt more comfortable now than she usually did with Wolfgang. “Oh, that sounds very stressful.” Mae couldn’t relate, especially now, but she hoped that it wasn’t too hard for Alessia. “It’s been …” she covered her pause with a sip of wine, “interesting? Just a lot of adjusting, really. I know I should be used to it by now but it’s still hard.”
“Of course I can, I already know everything I need to in order to get you signed up so I’ll set you up this week and you’ll get your access card a few days later. The only thing I will request is if you’re going to do any funny business in there make sure it’s not in the sci-fi section... that’s where everyone goes because they think it’ll be quietest.” She smirked knowingly and winked, it was obvious she was teasing as she couldn’t picture Wolfgang ever entering the library, nevermind getting up to mischief with his submissive in there. “What sort of classes would you want to do? I can check the availability and how customizable and flexible they are - don’t believe what it says in the course prospectus, the tutors put limits in there to make their lives easier but there’s actually a lot of room to move things around to suit schedules.” Alessia was genuinely enthusiastic about helping Mae, she believed in education and would encourage anyone to progress in any way they could. “Oh but making waves is part of the fun,” the Domme quipped with a guilty smirk and she took a large sip of her wine, “I find life gets very boring unless some waves are being made but that’s just me. I like to keep people on their toes... which probably why everyone thinks I’m a pain in the ass.” She laughed, her various reputations had been doing the rounds again but she hadn’t let them get to her. Alessia’s head tilted to the side and an understanding smile curled onto her lips. “This place is so different to Ragusa, there’s a lot of adjusting needed. One of the reasons I didn’t want to move to the estate with everyone else was due to not wanting to feel... smothered I guess is the best word. I still feel it at times, the family knows what it wants and makes sure everyone else knows it too, but at least I have somewhere I can run away to. I think the best thing to do is just dive in and do your thing, mistakes will be made, people will talk but they’ll do that anyway.” She grinned mischievously again. “If you need any help just let me know, I’m known to be a bad influence so you can always just blame me if it doesn’t work out.”

“With legs like yours I’d say it would be inappropriate to not have a thigh split and show them off,” Alessia responded as her own search continued to find a dress of her own that was ‘come get me’ enough for her but not inappropriate for the occasion.
“All Saints celebration at the palace. Do you think a thigh split would be considered inappropriate?” Tru muttered to no one in particular as she pulled out the navy dress with a split right up the side.

Mae sighed in relief; it had been a pretty steep curve so far, and everything she did seemed to backfire, no matter how hard she tried to do the right thing. But maybe it would help if she just made a few more friends. A light laugh escaped at the joke, and more of her nerves faded. “I’ve been working on memorizing it myself,” she said, rolling her eyes. It was a joke, but it certainly felt true at times. A hobby might be a useful thing, if only to give her a good reason to get off the estate and back into the city. And maybe help her stay out of trouble. “I’ll have to try to find something. I’d even look for work, but I’m not sure that it would be allowed.” Wolfgang had never said anything about that one way or the other, but Mae didn’t like to push her luck. Mae understood the reason for the security teams, but that didn’t alleviate her frustration most of the time; but then if Alessia had been assigned one as well, it made it seem a little easier to handle. “Wine actually sounds really nice right now. How are you? Have you been busy?” She didn’t know Alessia very well, but making an effort was a good place to start.
“I hope you’re doing that memorising at night because I know for sure that is one thing guaranteed to put you to sleep no matter how not-tired you are when you start,” Alessia continued the playfulness, it was good to air her opinions in this more humorous way rather than the alternatives which could get her in hot water. “Skip the section about the anatomy of the grape though and just enjoy the wine instead.” The Domme nodded encouragingly. “If you like reading or researching things I can get you a guest pass to the university library if you like? Or you could even start a course of study, the university here has far more courses and adaptive learning schedules than the one in Ragusa... and I’ll stop there before I sound like a billboard.” Another understanding smile graced her features. “I don’t think there would be an issue with you working, it would play well into the whole integration drive Silvius is currently droning on... sorry, encouraging everyone to do.” She grinned mischievously to show her slip up hadn’t been accidental. “Do you have any idea what you might like to do?” She poured an Alessia measure of wine into a glass, meaning it was a very large glass and it was very full and then topped up her own before handing Mae’s over and leading her to the living room to sit somewhere more comfortable. “It’s weird actually, I’m currently in one of those I’m busy and have no time to do anything but also have no idea what is actually taking all my time phases. I’m sure every clock is just set to run faster. How about you sweetheart, how’s life on the Estate?”

Lottie simply shrugged at the observation. She wasn’t out to think too hard about anything, just be in the moment. Her eyes widened though as Alessia mentioned her relationship. Lottie had to admit she was surprised by that. The domme had never really struck her as someone who stayed around for too long or committed for that matter so it was surprising to hear that not only had she been in a long relationship but a monogamous one at that. Tipping her head she paused her drinking for a moment, staring at the dark haired domme but she couldn’t quite formulate the question which was floating around her mind. Perhaps that was for the best though, she didn’t want to think tonight. Laughing at the remark about her beauty the submissive took another drink and laughed, “I’m going to look totally stunning tonight then, incoherent babbling sounds like where I am aiming for.”
The way Lottie’s eyes widened indicated to Alessia that she had not in fact mentioned her previous relationship to the submissive, but thinking back on it the pair had been far too busy having a lot of fun every time they had met up for the likes of exes to ever be brought up. She waited patiently for the question to come which was clearly forming in the submissive’s mind, so much so she could almost hear the cogs whirring but the alcohol won and Lottie laughed instead. Alessia made a mental note to ask what the question could have been next time she saw Lottie sober, she was genuinely curious to hear what the other girl’s thoughts were. “You always look stunning,” she returned easily and changed tact slightly, her caring side kicking in as her thoughts of something being ‘off’ refused to wane. She placed a finger under Lottie’s chin and gently tilted the girl’s head up so their eyes met. The she slowly leaned in closer as she spoke. “But if incoherent babbling is what you’re aiming for maybe you should reconsider your chosen partner? Maybe consider someone you know can thoroughly deliver what you need?”

Mila hadn’t really been expecting anything when she came out to box. It was just going to be a workout and that’s it. But she couldn’t say she minded the attention from the Domme. It’d been a while since she’d been given attention by a woman. “Then I suggest you watch closely, Miss. Wouldn’t want to miss anything important.” She teased softly before tilting her head, “And do you mind me asking what your coping methods are?”
Alessia’s lip curled into a smirk to show she appreciated the playful teasing responses and her voice dropped to an even more flirtatious purr. “I’d hate to miss anything at all so you have my full, undivided attention to make sure I notice every single little detail.” As she spoke her bright eyes roamed up and down the other girl, clearly taking in as much detail as she could. She liked what she saw. The Domme laughed at the question. “Well the most common one normally involves seeing the bottom of an empty bottle,” she explained in a throwaway manner, “but recently I’ve been wanting to try a more... physical approach. I just need to find another willing participant.”

Mae let out a breath and dropped her head, trying to calm herself down again. She knew she had to be better about reacting to people - she’d been able to get away with more candid speech at home but things were different with the Romanos. She didn’t want to alienate anyone who might be an ally, and she had so few friends here. “I’m sorry, miss. It’s a touchy subject and I overreacted.” Not that she could even blame Wolfgang for his expectations after the mess she made earlier. “I couldn’t stand being cooped up any longer, really. It makes me antsy.” She followed Alessia, nodding at the comment about security all the while knowing she wouldn’t say anything about it. She didn’t think they would listen to her anyway, and she was pretty sure she had a reputation for being a troublemaker now. “It’s hard. Back in Ragusa, I just went wherever I wanted. A drink would be lovely, if it’s not too much trouble.”
“It’s ok sweetheart, no harm done. I imagine you’re still on a steep learning curve being thrown into the family and then moved all the way up here so quickly so I get why you might be a bit antsy,” Alessia said with a kind smile. “Not all of us are dinosaurs who can recite the Romano rule book from cover to cover... just most of us,” she joked. Alessia was certainly proud to be a Romano but she had also had her fair share of disagreements regarding the way things were done. “Being cooped up isn’t good for anyone so make sure you do get out once in a while, maybe you could find a hobby that makes you get out and about?” A very knowing look crossed Alessia’s features and she nodded in agreement. “I know exactly what you mean, for a little while I had a security team assigned to me to make sure I didn’t do anything really stupid... I had a habit of doing stupid things at the time, so I understood why but I still resented the fact they were there.” She turned to face Mae with an open bottle of wine in one hand and coffee in the other. “I’m on the wine but what are you in the mood for?”

“Yes, he does know. Would you like to see the text?” Mae’s words were a bit sharper than probably was wise but she hadn’t been prepared for just how old-fashioned the Romano family could be about things like this. She kept her smile though, even if it got a little tighter, and stepped inside. “They promised an hour but I can let them know if it should be longer or shorter. It’s still strange, having someone with me all the time. I’m not sure I like it.” After the riots, she was a bit more understanding, and happier. But it was still a source of frustration.
Alessia raised both hands as if surrendering, she had clearly touched a nerve based on the bite behind Mae’s words and she reminded herself that the girl was still adapting to the Romano way of doing things. “I wasn’t checking up on you sweetheart so no, I don’t want to see it. After everything that’s happened recently I’m just surprised anyone is venturing out anywhere. I do appreciate the visit though.” She smiled kindly and motioned for Mae to follow her to the kitchen. “They can certainly make you feel claustrophobic at times but if they’re good at their job you should barely notice them. If they’re crowding too much you should tell them so they know and they’ll adapt for you.” She sighed. “It’s the feeling of constantly being watched isn’t it?” There was understanding behind both her words and her smile. “Would you like a drink?”

Mila’s brow quirked at the woman’s words and a small smirk crept onto her lips, “Well, for one, I would happily teach you a thing or two. And two, if you’re sure, I’d happily let you stand around and watch if you so wished.” Why not get a workout in and be admired for doing it? “As for what it’s done… nothing. However the world’s shit and this is the best way of dealing with that.”
Seeing the small smirk made Alessia’s lip curl into one of her own. “Well I think I’ll take you up on both of those offers,” she replied and moved closer. “I think I’ll do some watching first to admire your form and see what I can learn,” she said with a definite suggestion in her tone, “then when can see what you can teach me.” The Domme nodded in agreement. “No arguments here gorgeous, your ways of coping appear to be much healthier than mine.”

“No point hammering it hard if you are going to ease up too early,” Lottie remarked before taking a large swig of her drink. “And sleep always restores me,” she added, her voice wavering just a trifle as she considered what she was really saying. With a laugh she shook her head, “I find it hard to believe you’ve never had a threesome but let’s be real, who doesn’t love the idea of being filled and used till it’s all too much and you can’t even think anymore?”
“Ahh so it really is a drink until you pass out night for you isn’t it gorgeous. I’m pretty sure you’ll need a lot of sleep to recover from this one so I guess its a good thing you’re only planning for a quick fuck.” Alessia kept her tone light and her flirtatious smirk firmly in place but she spotted the slight waiver in Lottie’s tone. “What make you say that?” She asked with a laugh. “I was in a very committed monogamous relationship for a long time y’know.” She paused for just a moment, now that she mentioned it she wasn’t sure how much of her past she had shared. “I fall firmly into the camp of the one wanting to do the filling and using but I share the sentiment. And you already know I love to push you until it’s all too much and you can’t think any more. You’re at your most beautiful when you’re incoherently babbling and completely spent.”

“You seem to have made a lot of snap judgements about him,” Lottie mused as she took a long drink before turning to look at the man again. “If I’m honest I’m not really looking for breakfast anyway - well unless it’s alcoholic but you are making me want to try him out just to feedback anyway. Maybe his friend could join us too, I’ve always wondered about a threesome.”
“Call it lesbian intuition,” Alessia replied with a smirk and a wink, she had been rather harsh to the complete stranger who could well be lovely but she just didn’t see the appeal. “A liquid breakfast right after a heavy night, you really are going for it aren’t you gorgeous?” She tried to think of a reason for Lottie to not return to the man but she really didn’t have a legitimate one, which she hated but then Lottie mentioned threesomes and the Domme’s smirk returned. “Oh really? That’s something I’ve wondered a lot about too. I know I’d love to have one but how much have you thought about it?”

Lottie laughed loudly at Alessia’s comments about the male. “It gets exhausting being good all the time so why not have someone who gives in. Maybe I’m looking to run the show for a bit,” she remarked with a sly grin even though they both knew that it wasn’t really what she wanted. Her laughter increased as the domme defended her toy collection and she shook her head as she turned back to the bar to grab her drink, “Perhaps I want an easy night then. Quick fuck and then pass out, I mean that could be fun.”
“Ohh it must be so tiring, you’re able to be soooo angelic all the time and that halo of yours is always so shiny. I just don’t know how you do it,” Alessia couldn’t resist teasing with a huge smirk. “If that’s what you want all you have to do is ask gorgeous,” she returned with a wink and sly smirk of her own. She knew full well it wasn’t what the submissive really wanted but that didn’t stop her teasing by playing along. “No arguments from me beautiful, a quick fuck and passing out can be fun. But you know how needy I am, I’m more of a quick fuck, pass out, give me breakfast in the morning then a really satisfying second round kinda girl now.” She briefly glanced over at the man Lottie had kissed. “I feel like his second round wouldn’t be much better than the quick drunk fuck... and he would burn the toast too.” She laughed and lifted her own drink to her lips but didn’t have much of it. She couldn’t put her finger on it but something about Lottie seemed ‘off’ and she wanted to keep a clear head until she was sure the submissive was ok and there wasn’t something else, deeper down, going on.

Mae’s nerves had kept her inside most of the day, baking, and she’d ended up with far too many cookies for her and Wolfgang. She thought she recalled that it was Alessia’s birthday, or close to it. And even if it weren’t, cookies couldn’t hurt, surely. She offered a strained smile and held the plate out when Alessia came to the door. “I have extras and thought maybe you would like some?” They had turned out pretty well this time, which was a nice change.
Alessia’s confused expression shifted to a bright smile as she looked down at the plate of cookies. “Thank you sweetheart, they look great! You didn’t have to come out all this way to deliver cookies though, come in,” she said softly and opened the door wider to let the other girl in. “Does Wolfgang know you’ve left the Estate? And how long do I get your company for before your security team beat down the door and whisk you away?” She laughed softly but there was some seriousness behind her questions after the recent troubles.
