I do not understand depictions of Marik where he's bad at technology. Yes he literally lived under a rock for most of his life, but he's also clearly very savvy and able to pick things up quickly. I think his social skills are abysmal but there's no evidence to say technology wouldn't come easy to him. He might he the most terminally online member of the ygo cast.

I love Mai Kujaku Valentine but listen she’s not cool she’s a weirdo loser with no friends. She plays mean terrible pranks because she can’t read a room and treats every social interaction like she’s playing a character. She’s a super nerd who’s obsessed with a strategy card game and has somehow memorized the smell of 40 distinct perfumes. She can’t figure out how to connect with anyone and her self-esteem is wildly vacillating so she’s coping by pretending she’s too good for everyone anyway and making sure she has the best hair in the building. She’s masked undiagnosed girl-presenting autistic and she ate lunch alone every day in middle school. She’s a mess. She’s a weirdo. What the hell is she doing here

what a lot of atem-has-a-body puzzleship content misses is that atem at his core is not a confident person, he does NOT view himself as an infallible person, it was a show to make sure yugi was safe. he wanted to protect yugi so he filled out what yugi didn’t have, and now that he doesn’t have to do that anymore you bet your sweet ass this guy is going to crumple. he’s in a world he doesn’t know in a life that wasn’t supposed to be his and you expect this man to be suave and lead the relationship? mans probably cried over a toaster last week theres no way
