MARTINA.
Martina almost repeated her ‘I know, right?’ but felt too much like a cawing parrot. And she wasn’t feeling too colorful tonight, because, after all, she’s supposed to be a saintly vision in white. Though her delivery would have been different, with a wistful sigh at her multiplying problems that the universe burdened her. And she can pull off a feather cape, so…. “Poor little you,” she echoed instead, a tentative upward pull of her lips. Yes, she could be ironic when she wanted to. “So you are Trinity’s Mira.” Whether she liked it or not, and Martina got the sense that Mira’s leaning on the not side of things. Her face softened now that she understood why being called that might not be too pleasurable. Martina didn’t know much about how they’ve been boding since Trinity reentered the scene, but she did remember being a fresh thirteen-year-old watching the breakup happen. Even then, she couldn’t understand just never talking to someone you loved ever again. Martina still didn’t, not fully, but she did understand how sometimes talking hurt too much. “Sorry, it’s, like, a bad habit, I’ll stop,” she promised. “Never in a million years did I think I’d meet the delightful Mira in person.” Trinity never would’ve described Mira as ‘delightful’ but she’s laying it on thick to regain ground. “Are we talking about the same Trinity?” Like Mira, there’s only one at Gallagher. “Not for long if she heard you say that. She’s here, you know, somewhere.” Martina waved one of the drinks to indicate that she’s somewhere in the building. She paused for a second, her need to be liked struggling with her desire to defend Trinity, because there wasn’t enough love in Mira’s tone to compensate for that jab. Even if she agreed a little bit. “It can be a little traumatizing,” she said fondly, following it with a shrug. “But I love her, like, has she tortured me most of my life? Yes! Is she still a handful? Absolutely, but she… she’s different when you really get to know her.” Martina tilted her head a little, curious if Mira really thought that if she dated her and Mira’s not the one who called things off. But she also got how being the one left behind tainted memories, and her understanding would only deepen after tonight. “You’ve seen the real her, you know that.”
“Stop saying I’m Trinity’s Mira. I’m no one’s Mira, for fuck’s sake,” she snaps, rolling her eyes. She wonders how much this cousin knows about her relationship with Trinity, but if she wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t know beyond the fact that they dated, Trinity gives off the impression she doesn’t talk about her personal life. It’s one of the common things they share. “Delightful Mira,” she repeats after her, and now she has to crack a smile and then she laughs. She’ll blame the booze for that. “No one’s ever called me delightful. Maybe I did something wrong there,” she drawls, tilting his head to the side as she eyes Martina for a moment. “It’s your lucky day. Or maybe not.” Because Mira’s not a fun person to talk to, unless she likes you. She’s neutral towards Martina for now. “If your Trinity is obnoxious, then yeah, same Trinity.” Her tone has lost of its coldness, and she says this in very subtle fondness. Whether Martina catches it is another story. “Knowing her, she’d be thriving.” She shrugs. “She’s welcome to join in the delightful conversation,” she adds. “Handful is one word for it.” She nods, understanding where Martina’s coming from, and only because she understands this particular feeling towards cousins. Daryl, her cousin from her mother’s side of the family, had been a handful, but she loves him to death. Kass had been insistent and suffocating for a good part of the year, but Mira’s actually thankful for it, because it only positively developed their relationship. They’ve already made plans to visit each other during the summer and keep in close touch. “Yeah, I have seen the real her. Experienced it first hand.” It’s why she fell for during spy prep, but it’s also why she hated her for a few years after. But she’s also seen a different layer to Trinity this year, when they had a heart-to-heart and made up. “What do you know about us?” She’s curious.

MARTINA.
“I know, right!” With all the practiced pep of a cheerleader that she was in high school, but being nice to Mira may have made Martina snap a hamstring if she didn’t stretch first. “Oh.” A pause once she caught the sarcasm. She definitely should have brought her yoga mat. “Asked you second,” she said sweetly, just as childish, batting her eyelashes as she did not put the drinks down or sit to make herself more comfy. “You’re already at the table, two steps ahead of poor little me.” Whatever faux smile on her lips fell at the way she said Trinity’s name, def didn’t like that, freshly-plucked brows knitting together. Surely Martina thought she recognized Mira but it could have been a mix-up. “Must be two Mira Suttons.” It didn’t connect that she’s a famous Sutton, in the way that Martina didn’t recognize Ruby as being the president’s daughter. “If you love her I’m her cousin. If you don’t love her, your loss and I’m still her cousin.”
This is going to be a long night. It’s beyond her how she always finds herself talking to people who gives her immediate headaches, or maybe everyone is just that way. “Poor little you,” she drawls, already ignoring half of what she said for self-care. “Unfortunately for me, no, there’s only one and you’re talking to her right now.” If there was another Mira Sutton at Gallagher, people can bother that Mira instead and leave her in peace. There’s two very different reactions that come out of her at Martina’s words. First is a scoff. “Don’t worry, I’ll live.” Mira definitely does not hate Trinity. Not anymore, at least. But she’ll never admit this out loud. The second reaction is a sympathetic expression. “You’re her cousin? That’s why you’re familiar. You poor thing though, must be hard dealing with Trinity on a daily basis.” She’s not sarcastic. But also at that moment, she’s not totally surprised they’re cousins.

MARTINA.
Fortunately for Martina, and unfortunately for Mira, what isn’t up for debate is how Martina is universally loved. Everyone adores her and it’s not her business if they don’t, period! She smiled despite the other girl’s words sticking unpleasantly. “Right? As I always say, could never have too many friends! Speaking of friends, you are…?” If Martina’s not popular enough, then Mira was still tiers below her in that department. “Hm, so you do follow me,” she said, radically misinterpreting Mira repeating her handle. Her hip jutted out slightly as she shifted her weight to one foot, the other tapping thoughtfully, as her lips pursed and her eyes consult the ceiling. “Doesn’t really narrow it down, I fear.” It appeared performative though she was being genuine. Her eyes lower to land on Mira’s critical expression. “My hands are full! You check.” Martina held up the drinks. Ting was waiting for her, but she needed to fit the final jigsaw in this puzzle — she took her connections very seriously. “Mira Sutton?” she repeated. Now that’s familiar. “Trinity’s Mira?”
This conversation has been going on not even a full minute and Mira’s exhausted already. The other’s too perky for her own liking. “Okay,” she deadpans. Really, sometimes you just have to okay people. Mira hopes that’ll be the end of it, but the girl seems talkative. Like she likes to hear herself talk. “Great news,” she drawls sarcastically. “I still don’t know who you are though.” She follows a bunch of Gallagher students she’s never talked to. She doesn’t care about social media, she hardly checks it or posts. She rolls her eyes at her complaint, and naturally Mira doesn’t check. “Put them down, there’s a table.” She can be childish for the sake of it, yes. “Trinity’s Mira? Fuck’s sake, not this. I’m not Trinity’s Mira.” She has to make a face at this, hates how it sounds. “How do you know Trinity?”

LANDON.
landon does the same, barely even making a face as the alcohol goes down. “right, at least now we don’t have to be on our toes all the time.” he looks around for a waiter or something so they can get another. “another shot?” landon asks, having a feeling of her answer.
She refuses to think of Landon’s future tonight. Tonight, she wants to have shots with a good friend and she wants him to have a good time as well. “No one’s going to be focused tomorrow. The graduates themselves will need assistance going up on stage,” she states and nods. “Is that even a question? Think we’ll break some record tonight?” She’s fully aiming at getting wasted tonight.

FAITH.
“Typical,” the female mused in return, an amused giggle passing by her lips. She was definitely going to miss Scott too, not like she intended to break off any contact with anyone she was as close to as she was with him. “That’s sort of the point.” She did love attention, she wouldn’t dress like this if she didn’t. One would say she took the topic too literal, with the wings and everything but noticing Mira’s eyes on her dress proved to her that it was indeed worth it. “I could’ve gone full angel if you wanted me to,” she teased with a small scoff, leaning towards her date a little because honestly, why would she not ? “Not yet anyway,” the female assured but she honestly couldn’t control how any night with Mira went, just glad she seemed to have some kind of control. “ Is your drink any good ? ” She just hoped they didn’t water them down as much at least for this ocassion.
“Going out with a bang, huh?” Mira still hasn’t told Faith she is leaving spyhood behind, but it hasn’t really come up and she doesn’t feel the need to tell her, especially when Faith’s graduating and getting a career in spyhood. She thinks they’ll end up going their separates ways. “Again? Didn’t you already dress up as an angel before?” She vaguely recalls something of the sort. “Didn’t think Faith Rush would do repeats,” she teases lightly with a slight roll of her eyes, leaning slightly to. “Yeah, it’s good. It could use more alcohol, but it does the job.” Just because it’s her last Gallagher event, doesn’t mean she won’t complain! “You wanna get the same?”

BEA.
“she wants to get to know you, too. she’s already heard a lot about you,” bea laughed. she hadn’t had a lot of time to talk to her mom about what had been going on in her life, but mira was an important part of bea’s life and a lot of what she had time to talk about involved her best friend. “yeah, she is. i’ve missed her too, and i’m excited that i’ll be home with them both soon.” it had been a long time since she’d been home with her whole family and she couldn’t wait. “yes! it’s been way too long since i’ve seen her.” an excited smile spread across her face, and while she knew it was probably a long shot, she loved the idea of them being in school together. “probably comp sci, or something like that. i think those schools probably have good engineering programs, which might not be that different than something like r&d.”
“She heard about my attitude?” she jokes lightly. She’s looking forward to get to know her well after they both leave this place behind for good. “Do you have any plans for the summer with your family? Or is just hanging out and chilling?” She expects they want to settle down after everything that happened, to catch up properly and move past the past. “I can see you doing comp sci.” She smiles that she has that figured out. Mira unsurprisingly has nothing about the future figured out, but she’s in no rush. “I’m not sure what I’d wanna do. I never really pictured myself or thought about college, when you know it was all Gallagher. But I’ll look into the programs, see what captures my eye.”

MARTINA.
“Um, I’m pretty popular?” Not offended, just offering that as a possibility. Martina’s everywhere so it’s totally possible that the other girl has just seen her around. “Do you follow me on Insta?” Martina asked. ”@Babytina if you didn’t know.” Shameless self-promo. Martina reached for the drinks she was waiting for, one for her and one for Ting, her head canting slightly to the side. She thumbed through her photo album of familiar faces. “Mmm, wait, do I follow you? You are, like, super familiar too.”
Mira doesn’t even resist rolling her eyes. They probably rolled into another dimension. “Not popular enough,” she deadpans. Not that Mira knows people around here, but she figures if she was as popular as she says, she would have some sort of clue. “Dude, I have no idea.” She’s not very active on Instagram anyway. “Babytina. Of course.” And she doesn’t mean she knows who she is now, just that her handle name fits the vibe she has going. “Uh -- check? @mirasutton. Lucky me, I’m familiar.” Not something she likes to go for, but it’s a disadvantage of being a Sutton.

SCOTT.
“ honestly, i would’ve roomed with six people all year if it meant getting BEYONCÉ !!!! ” he yells, mostly because he can’t seem to contain the energy that’s making him bounce around all over the place. he downs his drink and sets the glass aside. “ nothing! i’m right behind you. ” he places his hands on her shoulders and starts singing the follow the leader song.
“Gross. Definitely not. The rooms are already small for four people, imagine six fucking people.” Beyonce’s is a queen and all, but Mira would not suffer all year for one night, not even a full night --- just a mere hour or so. Fuck that. “I may be in an okay mood, I still don’t want to hear you singing,” she deadpans. “What are you having?” she asks, as she gets to the bar. “Some of these cocktails look so extra.”

FAITH.
“Oh, he’d probably welcome it.” Not for the actual stabbing part but to see Mira and Faith together at an event like this. She was too amused at his reaction upon telling him about the two of them, it was difficult not to question if he was actually thinking his part. “Oh, I didn’t expect you to welcome it like that,” the female responded, lips pursing a bit. “Might be a challenge if you’ll want to leave early.” Maybe she can convince her not to but then again, she never minded being alone with the other.
“Yeah, he’d probably keep poking at it till an accident happens.” It’s definitely something Scott would do, especially if he’s going to be drunk tonight. Though he’d do it sober, too. “I’m just saying, people are going to get curious.” Because while her dress is extra, she looks sexy in it and she’s allowed herself to let her eyes glance all over it when she first saw her. And once again, her eyes travel down the dress. “Though, half saint, half sinner?” She clicks her tongue as if in disbelief. “I won’t leave early. Unless you want to.” It’s her final party here, and she’s intending to get trashed, but also she’s definitely not opposed to spending the rest of the night with Faith.

“Scott’s, probably,” Mira drawls, reaching for the cocktail the bartender places. “To how many people do you reckon it’ll happen? Might beat a record before leaving this place.” She takes a sip, eyes scanning the crowd. “Sounds like you’ll be doing this just fine,” she teases subtly.
“ Who’s eye do you think I’ll poke out first ? ” The female started off with a grin, gesturing to the wings on her dress as a tilt of her head followed her question. She had been staring at Mira for a little, so she just had to distract with her own dress. “Maybe a creepy guy who’s staring or something - or will you do that as my date ? ” / @mirasutton

“You’ve thought about what a wet sock tastes like?” Her eyebrow perks at the other’s phrase. “It’s got an ugly green color, of course it tastes bad.”

“That one tastes like what I imagine a wet sock would taste like.” Orion motions towards one of the punch bowls. “Just so you’re aware.”

“You’d think since the school could afford getting Beyonce to perform, they could’ve at least given us rooms with less roommates.” Not that it’s a big deal anymore since she’s not coming back, but she would’ve liked to stay in a room alone or maybe two person room (if it was too impossible to have solo rooms) her past two years here! “What are you drinking? I need to get something else. Follow me, Scott.”

Mira’s reaching for the cocktail the bartender places for her when her eyes fall on the brunette. Her brows furrow slightly because she’s pretty sure she knows this person, she can’t place it. “Where do I know you from?”

BEA.
“you’ll need to come to nantucket soon so you can spend time with my mom. i know my grandma misses you, too.” areta was a big mira fan, as she should be, and bea was sure that her mom would be a fan as well. “for a second i thought about going back to vassar, but i think i want to stay in massachusetts.” a thought crossed her mind and she knew it was probably crazy, but she would be remiss if she didn’t bring it up. “what if we found a new school to go to together? like tufts or northeastern or something? we don’t have to, of course, but i’m gonna want to go back to school and it would be kind of amazing if we went together.”
“I will. I want to get to know her well, outside the Gallagher and spy walls,” she says with a small smile. She can’t describe the happiness she feels for Bea for finding her mom, knowing it’s something she never stopped thinking about. “I miss your grandmas, too, she’s one of the best.” She loves Bea’s family --- they’re practically a second family to her. “You should come, too, my aunt’s been asking about you.” She laughs slightly before she pauses at Bea’s suggestion. She has no idea what she was going to do after she went back home, but going to college with her best friend doesn’t seem like a bad idea. “Yeah, I think that would be cool. I have no idea what I want to do, but we’ll look into it. Do you have any ideas what you want to major in?”
