Can't get over the shot of Colin, how he holds her face as he kisses her 🥹

His lips touched hers softly at first, not because he was trying to be gentle, although if he'd had the presence of mind to think about such things, it probably would have occurred to him that this was her first kiss, and it ought to be reverent and beautiful and all the things a girl dreams about as she's lying in bed at night.

But in all truth, none of that was on Colin's mind. In fact, he was thinking of quite little. His kiss was soft and gentle because he was still so surprised that he was kissing her. He’d known her for years, had never even thought about touching his lips to hers. And now he couldn't have let her go if the fires of hell were licking his toes. pathetic isn’t really a word I‘d use for colin bridgerton. simon rather dying than marrying daphne was pathetic. anthony going through with marrying edwina until SHE mustered the courage to call everything off was pathetic.

colin contemplating his feelings, calling out his male acquaintances for their chauvinism, seeking advice from his mother and then immediately taking action and putting himself out there without even knowing if his feelings are reciprocated is the complete opposite of pathetic. that requires a whole lot of bravery.

Guys, for real. It had been like- I kid you not- 20 years since a show had such a stronghold over me (you can figure it out from my user name). I mean, I am back at reading fanfiction and tempted to write my own one shots. Like... what? ??

It's all Nicola's fault. I just had to check out this show that had my favorite Derry girl and BAM! Back to my old otaku ways. It is a malady that I cannot I will not and do not want to give up. I might even buy the rest of the books just for a hint of Penelope. (I obviously read RMB 3 times already).
