~ after a fair amount of convincing Daniel manages to bring Shiloh to a fancy restaurant.~

Shiloh: ok ok you got me to calm down... and I got free fancy mac and cheese-

Daniel: it was a pasta volcano!! not mac and cheese!

Shiloh: ok Mr. its-a-volcano you can tell Cleo I'm fine-

Daniel: bold of you to assume that Cleo sent me here!

Shiloh:... I thought we both agreed that you couldn't get an award for dying off-screen. or are you going senile? I knew you were old but not that old-

Daniel: I would like to think they at least considered me thank you very much but no. I thought that since your winning an award a "friendly dinner" wouldn't stir the pot too much.

Shiloh: Oh wow! I completely understood that.

Daniel: you know what I'm saying! don't sound sarcastic!! I can only say it like that because if I didn't I would sound suspicious!

Shiloh: like what you just said wasn't the vaguest thing I've ever heard. totally not suspicious.

Daniel: you act like I'm not speaking English-

Shiloh: well, daniel, I know this might surprise you but... it's actually my second language. because I was taught mandarin first, then English!

~ a few months later Shiloh gets put in the runner-up for a "best actress" award. after getting ready and getting a coffee from a coffee shop close to the event she runs into Daniel, conveniently standing outside.~

Shiloh: w- daniel?

Daniel: What are you surprised to see me?

Shiloh: well... no this is an acting thing

Daniel: I was in a movie!

Shiloh: ... you died in the first 5 minutes of mad speed. off-screen.

Daniel: still counts.

~ after another long "movie night" with Daniel, Shiloh gets a text from the girls only group chat.~

Cleo: I'm going to be texting from my work phone since someone broke my phone with their bare hands! anywaysss we should have another movie night! Shi you should invite us all over when you and Daniel watch something!

Tina: no fair!! the train ride over to your yeehaw neighborhood is the worse!! if we do I'm sleeping over!

Cleo: ooo shi has Daniel sleep over we should too!!

Shiloh: I barley have space for Daniel I cant have all of you sleeping on my floor

Cleo: we need to start a fund for you to get a bigger couch. this is out of hand!!

Tina: every time I come over its like that little metal death trap gets sharper and more discolored!

Cleo: its a dirty little couch! throw it awayyyy!1!!

~ Shiloh lets out a nervous laugh, maybe she should start asking Daniel to help with.. the clean up... before he leaves.~

Daniel: Shiloh your like... my other half. I've never felt so.. connected to a person before...honestly you bring me back to when i was a kid

~ Daniel slowly sits up pulling up Shiloh with him. he puts his forehead on Shiloh before continuing~

Daniel: when I'm with you all my problems seem to melt away and i feel like I'm finally having the teenage romance that people dream about. i...

Shiloh: I know... I.. want that too...

~ Daniel breaks the kiss for a few breaths of air while he slowly makes his way down Shiloh's jaw, leaving a trail of slowly forming hickeys in his wake~

Shiloh: d-Daniel we cant-

Daniel: you said that i was dragging you in this mess. and your right but i want to prove to you I didn't break my promise.

~ before Shiloh can process the words coming out of his mouth she feels her back hit her hardwood floor. Daniel moves so that his body is pressed up against her and pins her to the floor. she feels the all too familiar warm feeling start to pool low in her stomach, as she weakly try's to fight back against Daniel. she cant just keep having sex with her friends husband after all~

Shiloh: is-is this what you did to Cleo?...are you going to leave me too if i fall for...you?

~ Daniel seems to stop his barrage of kisses for a second, shocked by the words Shiloh just said. ~

Daniel: you think...i would cheat on you?

Shiloh: ... you expect me to think differently? you could just drop me whenever you want...act like all of this never happened...and move on to you next victim.

Shiloh: She's so happy! why would you want to take that from her by continuing this!! I know you care about her, you call her your best friend but you don't treat her like that!

Daniel: listen i... I know I haven't been treating her great but that's what a forced marriage does to a friendship sh-

Shiloh: so your willing to hurt not only Cleo but drag me into this? I didn't want to be involved with a cheating husband, and I definitely don't want to be involved with a cheating husband who has a pregnant wife!

~Daniel cuts Shiloh off by pulling her into a deep passionate kiss. as much as Shiloh tries to fight back thinking about Cleo...her baby...her happy family that she has on the way...she finds herself melting into the kiss. as Daniel deepens the kiss she feels her knees start to buckle...oh no~

Daniel: I've barely been picking up Cleo's calls due to work and the fact I was liking the break this trip was giving me...what did she tell you

- Shiloh was the last person to be dropped off seeing that Cleo stormed out of the car crying about her broken phone once they reached her house. so Daniel just parked in their drive-through and walked Shiloh home-

Daniel: shi she can buy herself a new one tomorrow I promise. She's just sad that she has to go and plan a trip.

Shiloh: of course she is...shouldn't you go with her?

Daniel: oh please she's a big girl she can handle herself in a Verizon store! she's been trying to drag me everywhere

Shiloh: you know you're going to have to bend to her will soon...seeing what she's got now...

- Daniel wraps his arm around Shiloh playing with her hair a bit while he continues-

Daniel: Cleo was born a drama queen. her emotions won't be keeping me away from you for long.

- Meanwhile, Daniel sits on the couch, in a very messy mansion, watching another one of Cleo's films.( it's like the whole state is mourning her death when all she did was say she was taking a break. get a grip people.) While blankly flipping through channels his phone buzzes, oh wow she really is everywhere, maybe she's clairvoyant or something-

Daniel: hellooo~

Cleo: hey babe! we're coming back soon! it's very hard dragging 2 hungover adults through the airport-

Tina(distantly): why did you schedule our flight back at 9 am!?!

Cleo: our flights are at 5pm I brought us here at 9 so we weren't late-

Shiloh(distantly): you WHAT-

Tina(distantly): let's jump her! after we get some McDonnas- and an aspirin-

Cleo: hopefully I come back in one piece-!

Daniel: from what I'm hearing... I don't think you will-

-Daniel feels a smile start to settle on his face after hearing Shiloh's voice, she's so cute when she's angry and hungover.-

Daniel: aw poor baby, you drink too much on your girl's trip? Do you want daddy Daniel to nurse you back to health? my sweet little baby cant handle Cleo's constant fear of being late anymore?

Shiloh: when I get home I'm gonna make you eat those words.

-the call abruptly ends with a concerningly loud crunch, Daniel winces as he moves his phone away from his ear-

Daniel: she's coming back at 5...im gonna miss the freedom but better start getting ready...time seems to fly by when it comes to her.

-just as Daniel starts to get up from his spot on the couch his phone buzzes again. he looks back at it with disdain before moving back towards it to pick it up-

Daniel: who cou- oh...shit.

- after digging tina up out of the sand and helping her regain her boundaries the girls thought it would be best for the conversation to be held on the ground-

Shiloh: ok so basically the protagonist...of the show... is the side piece to her best friends fiancée. that's it that was the show.

Tina: so she's ok with ruining her friendship?

Cleo: that's what I was thinking!

Shiloh: I mean from what I could remember she loved her friend and she also loved...her husband...

Tina: no man is worth ruining a friendship over! no dick it's that good!!

Cleo: honestly! if Daniel was cheating on me with some girl who was my friend- like if he was cheating on me with Shiloh I would be devastated! that's the kind of thing that would mess you up for life.

- for life! Shiloh found herself biting at her nails... Cleo really really loves Daniel and she is actually ruining lives. wow.-

Cleo: I know Shiloh would never do that of course she's too sweet, but just the thought of causing that...I would probably hate myself, more than my friend would probably hate me!

Tina: oh of course Shi could never do something like that, I would though ehehe... come her Mr. hottest-Man-For-The-5th-Year-In-A-Row! Pffft- AHAH-

Cleo: You're so!-

-Cleo throws some sand toward tina causing her to arch away for a second while her cackle dies down into a cough before she continues-

Tina: but, honestly, if it was me...I think I would just leave.

Shiloh & Cleo: leave?

Tina: like if I really was in love with my bff's husband I would have to move away from them or something, so that I cant see them. just watching them be all lovey-dovey with each other would eat me up inside. imagine the guilt, when if you think about it, isn't even her fault. he's the one cheating!

Cleo: oh yeah the man, because it's definitely a man, is in the wrong he clearly doesn't even care about his wife enough to have the decency to communicate that he's unhappy in the relationship, or to not date her friends! I bet once the dust of the betrayal disappeared both girls hated him.

Tina: Or even better JUMPED HIM!

Shiloh: yeah...I wish I knew how it ended...

Cleo: yeah...those telenovelas can feed off reruns till the cows come home.

Tina: yeah, I saw a telenovela once that...

- As Shiloh calmed down she found herself having more fun on the trip overall. Maybe there is a way to end this and keep both of her friends. maybe... Cleo could see her side...-

-One very long drunken walk to a food stall later-

Shiloh: hey Cleo... could i ask you something?

Cleo: anything!

Shiloh: well lets say... you got stuck being some ones side piece, and as much as you hate it, they seem to have a good reason for not prioritizing you. what would you do?

- Cleo picks up a piece of her food as if inspecting it, then gestures back towards Shiloh-

Cleo: ...id ask them what they think of us...what they want or plan to do about us. if it sounds too much like something i want to hear i would start asking questions about our future...will we have a family? will i meet your family? what do you think about marriage...you know lay it on thick. if they start to sweat then its over.

- Cleo takes a bite from her fork while Shiloh starts to take timid bites of her own plate.-

Shiloh: i don't know what I would do...I wha-well the side piece was in love with the cheater...and the main girl was her close friend...

Cleo: THEIR FRIENDS?!?

Shiloh: in the show there depicted a-

Cleo: I would cut him off IMMEDITLY!! i mean what kind of man creeps on his wife's friends?? not someone i would like to date!

- Daniel litters Shiloh's jaws with kisses slowly trailing down her neck, slowly getting her to roll over and look him in his eyes. he gently wipes away her tears, careful of her face mask, and kisses her on the lips-
