Me (an externally undead vampire) draping my cape over my shoulders (putting on my black hoodie) to go stalking the night in search of my next prey (walking to the convenience store at 9 pm for a bag of chips and a dr pepper)

We're all out here reacting to Crowley losing his flat in and living in his car, and indeed, he seemed to really like his flat in season one, he went there to think and plan, to sulk, etc.
Meanwhile in Book Omens, we learn this:
Crowley's London flat was the epitome of style. It was everything that a flat should be: spacious, white, elegantly furnished, and with that designer unlived-in look that only comes from not being lived in. This is because Crowley did not live there. It was simply the place he went back to, at the end of the day, when he was in London.
[The text then describes his flat in detail and talks about the "uncomfortable time" he spends there "in each of these rooms, during the long wait for the End of the world."]
I don't understand this.
Does it mean he basically only stops by to sleep, and doesn't consider it a home? Does he consider somewhere else home, or maybe nowhere is home because he's a poor little meow meow??
Why are we told specifically that he did not live there?

So we all know that Crowley was the one to confess first, which, honestly, made a lot of sense for his character, I feel. But now I’m getting the vibe that, because he was the one to say something this season, Aziraphale’s gonna say something in season three. So I have a sneaking suspicion that he’s gonna be the first one to officially say “I love you”, and it’s gonna be at the WORST possible time
