Had an Epiphany this morning and now my pinterest board for my romance arc in my DR is Fire.

By all rights, Mew Pudding should have had her own spin off series or something because there's so much going on in her backstory.

IDK if it's just that Pudding's my Favorite, but I don't think any of the other Mews really have a similar level of Peak Drama going on. She's raising herself and her seven siblings because her father is overseas and her MOTHER MIGHT BE DEAD, her father is a famous martial artist??? AND she gets an enemies to lovers arc with Tart??

The main character doesn't have this much going on.

That feeling when you connect with another desired reality / start channeling it and someone in that reality is already like "ah yes, the love of my life, you're back" u_u

I'm looking on pinterest for ideas of where to shift to because I feel bored and depressed and unenthusiastic about everything, but all that's on pinterest is "things you forgot to shift~!"

And one of them is like, "thinks I scripted so you don't have to" and like. . . it includes a lot of references to feminine stuff in a very cis way (trying to say it without being vulgar, not implying that cis femininity is invalid, idek know if the person shifting IS cis) and then a random "i last a long time" (with an emoji to make it clear they mean in bed) and like. . . did not realize this was a problem that women faced. I knew it was a problem for cis men, but like. . . I thought for women it's like . . . the opposite???

Venting

I miss when shifting felt like second nature. I did it all the time as a kid all the way into my twenties, and the reason I stopped being able to isn't even a good reason.

I just learned what it felt like to feel trapped.

I don't know how to unlearn it.

The actual shift part isn't what feels daunting, though -- it's having somewhere to go. Someone to meet. Something to experience.

Someone else made me feel broken, and I can't claw their fingerprints off. Even bleeding it out doesn't change that they changed me, for the worst.

I think one of the ways it's easy to get discouraged with shifting is that we assume we're staying in our Current Reality a lot more than maybe we actually are?

Especially for those who have a detailed script of What They're Like in their desired reality, or who's scripts are heavily focused on a relationship with a significant other or groups of friends.

How has your current reality "changed" around you recently, especially since you started your shifting journey?

Have you started curating your wardrobe to be more similar to your desired reality? Have you started attracting people who are similar to the people you're close to in your desired reality? Have your strengths and weaknesses shifted? The places around you?

We think of shifting to our desired realities as an all or nothing thing, but for most people I think there are a lot of more gradual ways in which we align with the realities we spend the most time focusing on and it can definitely be worth it to be mindful of that.
