Chinese Traditional Religions
Legalism, Taoism, and Confucianism arose as a result of the turmoil that came from the collapse of the Zhou Dynasty. The period that the Zhou Dynasty collapsed is referred to as the period of the Warring States. Legalism, Taoism, and Confucianism are all ancient Chinese philosophies. Legalism is the Chinese realism; it is a body of thought that can be applied to the assessment of common problems, especially administration problems. Taoism is a religious philosophy that focuses on living in harmony with Tao, which is the source or force behind every existing thing. Confucianism is a philosophy that encompasses ethical and social-political teachings that form a religion. Legalism, Taoism, and Confucianism are philosophies that defined people’s ways of life but had different fundamental beliefs. A comparison between legalism and the other two philosophies makes me realize that Legalism is more suitable for today’s society; it states that the law is the most important thing in the society. Legalism focuses on the application of a strict legal system in the society to manage its problems.
The use of legalism in ancient Chinese advocated for a strict adherence to the law and paid no attention to ethics, compassion or morality. Any deviation from the law called for severe punishment, which would act as an example to the rest of the community. The same cannot be said about Taoism or Confucianism. Taoism advocated for a simple life that involved being in harmony with nature and negating concerns about worldly issues. Taoism encouraged reflection of oneself and trivial matters. Issues like advanced education, money and power had no weight in Taoism. Unlike Legalism, Confucianism was more about morality, it stated that power should be for those that are morally upright. More emphasis was put on morality than education. Legalism can be best applied in modern society so as to prevent anyone from acting as if they are above the law. Without any strict law, sanity may not exist in the society.
Legalism is different from both Taoism and Confucianism because both philosophies act as religions to Chinese people. Taoism is considered a religion because it emphasizes on people living in harmony with nature; it encourages happiness by avoiding greed and living according to the laws of nature. Taoism encourages a simple life. Confucianism is also considered a religion because it is a system with moral, ethical and philosophical attributes. Confucianism focuses on harmony between the society and government, respect for the elders and those in power. Confucianism rose to become the Chinese governing philosophical system. Legalism is different because it acts like a law and control governing system. Legalism does not have any religion features as it emphasizes more on strict regulation and harsh punishments than morals or simple living.
Legalism believed that human beings were bad and insisted that human nature means being evil. The evil in human nature should be severely punished. According to legalism, the government has the right to make laws that govern and control human beings. Since humanity was evil, Legalism advocated that people should be scared to obey the laws. Both Taoism and Confucianism had different views on human nature; they believed that human nature was good in general. These two philosophies were against any laws because human beings did not require them. Confucianism believed that laws should come from the inspiration of good behavior, and Taoism believed in living according to nature. Legalism is perfect in today’s society because of the evil that exists in human beings. There should be consequences of evil to prevent the evil from happening again.
Legalism, Taoism, and Confucianism all aimed at ending the conflict in China. Legalism helped end the Chinese conflict by suggesting that the society can be controlled. This philosophy emphasized that the government can only control people through strict laws. Legalism proposed that leaders can use a legal system to make people obey the law, it believed that a strong government would be the only way to end China’s conflict. Legalism felt that humans were wicked and that for the conflict to end, there must be strict laws followed by harsh punishment. Confucianism aimed at ending China’s conflict by insisting that mutual respect amongst people would create peace and harmony in the society. Confucianism taught the code of proper conduct, and that good behavior among people would contribute to the end of the conflict. Taoism was crucial in ending China’s conflict by encouraging people to live in harmony. Taoism used the yin-yang forces to help people find residence in the world.
Another similarity in the three philosophies is that they emphasized on achieving goodness. Legalism argues that goodness can only be achieved through total government control of the population, human beings are considered to be wicked. Confucianism states that the five relationships and filial piety achieve goodness while, in Taoism, goodness is achieved by sticking to the path of nature. The three philosophies do not regard individual freedom. Legalism commands individuals to obey the government strictly; Confucianism demands respect to humankind while Taoism insists that people follow the path of nature.

Chinese Food Culture
Chinese food culture is famous for its abundance and exquisite, Chinese food culture has occupied an important part in the nation's tradition cultures. China is of long history with a vast territory. Due to the diversity of the climate, products and customs, there are widely different food styles and taste in local regions. Through creation by past dynasties, the long standing cooking art has formed rich and colorful local dishes. Among them, "the eight major dishes" enjoys the upper reputation, which consists of Shangdong, Chekiang, Sichuan, Jiangshu, Guangdong, Hunan, Fujian and Anhwei. Shandong dishes are divided into two factions as Tsinan and Jiaodong dishes. They are good at clear dishes, pure but not greasy. Sichuan dishes have enjoyed the fame that every dish has its own characteristic and none two share the same taste. They are also famous for pocked, peppery and savor taste. Chengdu and Chongqing dishes are two mail branches. Jiangsu dishes lay stress on the original taste with proper sweetness and salty. They consist of Yangzhou, Suzhou and Nanking branches. Chekiang dishes are both delicious and sweet smelling, both soft and slide, clean and not greasy. They consist of Hangzhou, Ningbo and Shaoxing branches. Guangdong dishes have Guangzhou, Chaozhou and Dongjiang three styles of dishes. They are good at choice seafood and pay more attention to the cooking skills. They act carefully at light food with tender and slide taste, from which they earn the praise of " It has a best taste in only in Guangzhou." Hunan dishes consist of Xiangjian, Dongting Lake and Xiangxi coteau three local dishes. Their tastes lay stress on thick, arid and peppery food, mostly using seasoning like hot peppery, shallot and capsicum. Minghou, Fuzhou Ximen and Quanzhou dishes are the representatives of Fujian dishes. They use choice seafood as the main material with elaborately cooks beautiful color and delicious taste of oil. They are good at frying, gliding, decocting and pay attention to the dishes' sweetness, salty, and the appearance. The most distinct features are their "pickled taste". Anhwui dishes pay more attention to the taste, color of dishes and the temperature to cook them. They are expert in cooking delicacies from mountains and sea. In addition to the eight major dishes, there are Beijing dishes, shanghai dishes, Hubei dishes, liangning dishes, Henan dishes which also enjoy great reputation. What's more, the steamed dishes and vegetable dishes have their own charms. Actually, Chinese dishes have earned world's fame. The Chinese eateries could be found everywhere throughout the world. Many foreigners regard having a Chinese meal as a high honor. Customs on eating Food between China and Western countries are totally different styles. China has 5000 years history. We probably spend half of time on food. Chinese people choice food very carefully. They only use fresh material to make food. For example they only eat fresh fish. Chinese have a lot of ideas and techniques for cooking. We can cook a chicken in over ten ways. That’s why Chinese food is so popular in the world. Western country like English or American, they don’t have fresh food because they buy their food from supermarket which only sells stored materials. Western people would also prefer fast food like burgers and chips. They are unhealthy to human body. Western people do not have many skills for cooking, mostly they only boil, steam and bake the food. By the way, western people are very good at making desert and chocolate. They can make very good cake and chocolate. They are very sweet but it’s sort of food which make you become fat quickly.

Eating Habits in Asian Countries
Japan: There are three kinds of Japanese diet: traditional food (also known as Japanese food), Chinese food (also known as Chinese food) and Western food (also known as American food). For breakfast, they like porridge, milk, matched with bread. They like rice for lunch and dinner. They like to eat lean pork, beef, lamb, chicken, eggs, bamboo shoots, tofu and a variety of fresh vegetables. Japanese fish, shrimp, crab, oyster, kelp and other seafood are particularly favored, especially oyster meat, sashimi. There are two dishes on the Japanese table. One is kimchi, one is miso soup. When eating with Japanese guests, use common chopsticks to give your food to guests.Japanese people generally like to have a cup of tea before meals.
South Korea: South Korea has a wide range of ceremonial food, such as Production, March 7, Hundred Days, Years of age, Weddings, temple food and other gifts ceremony food. Among them, the temple food bogey five (garlic, onion, small root garlic, leek, etc.) and meat dishes, with mountain vegetables, wild vegetables, roots, wild fruit, bark, seaweed, cereal production, without any spices,this culture is very unique. Ceremonial food is mainly pastry, and Korean eating habits are closely related to family form. Korean people, since the development of fermented food on agriculture, the formation of a unique food culture developed very well. Korean food traditionally love vegetarian, that is, pickles, tofu dishes, wild vegetables and other daily food is also very developed.
Vietnamese: Vietnamese like to eat fish, shrimp, crab, sea cucumber, shark's fin, wide belly and other seafood and chicken, fans, macaroni, tomatoes and so on. They don’t like to eat sweet dessert, lamb, bean teeth. They like to eat ravioli, salted buns in mornings. Afternoon, staple food is also rice, combined with meat and more vegetables.
Indonesia: Indonesian like to eat Western dishes, drink fresh orange juice for their breakfast. Lunch and dinner, they prefer to eat Chinese food. They generally love spicy, fried and more dry dishes. They especially love animal offal, such as fried beef belly, fried intestines, fried chicken liver and so on. Cooking methods are bake, fried, fried, explosive. They like to drink black tea, wine, wine, champagne.

Decision-making Problems in the American Business
The majority of the global businesses especially in America do face a huge number of ethical dilemmas due to the different comprehensive business environment that has come along in the 21st century. The business firms have the accountability of developing and bringing forth the set of laws of conduct and moral principles that all the members of the association have to abide by and put into practice. Some of the elemental ethical matters in the American businesses consist of the concepts like the compliance and governance, decision-making, integrity and trust, diversity accommodation, and workplace harassment among others. The decision problems still stand out as one of the supreme ethical issues that most organizations confront in their daily operations.
In the everyday business environment, there is often a requirement for the individuals to make decisions. But the making of such decisions usually necessitates the following of the ethical framework as set by a company for which one might be working. The ethical decision-making assists the people in making the intricate options when they are confronting any moral problem and have no clear idea of what is wrong or right (FINANCIAL TIMES). The ethical decision-making in the business organization typically inspects the three perceptions of ethics that are the care, obedience, and that of reason.
The compliance ethic looks at both the letter of the statute and the spirit of the moral principles that are under its governance. The ethic of care employs the emotional astuteness and understanding when it comes to the decision-making from other individuals’ point of view. Lastly, there is the ethic of the reason that engages the people’s rational thinking ability and involves the use of wisdom and experience in the computation of the variety of the likely results (FINANCIAL TIMES). The social dimension is also another vital aspect for the ethical decision-making in the business organization. People usually have a tendency of making superior decisions while working alongside those who are capable of supporting and overcoming the challenges of the natural biases when they face the terrible options.
The business organizations always amalgamate diverse people with different reasoning capacity and every one of them having a personal concern for their benefits thus resulting in the conflict of interest between the members. The clash of the people’s interests usually ends up resulting in circumstances that are challenging to the employer or the organization’s leaders morally. The case is always standard for the leaders who are ethically upright with the clear conscience and are having the business interests at hand before anything else. The dilemma comes to pass when such heads decide upon the best course of the deed to take (MANAGEMENT STUDY GUIDE).
The problem in decision-making can also arise in the organization when there is the making of the notable facts and values. The implication of such a situation is where the leader embraces and weighs the case of what is there and what ought to be present (SBA). An excellent instance is when the business enterprise expends more resources on the development, research, or in upgrading some products and services and their reflection is in the end price. The end users may view the increment in the cost as being manipulative.
In conclusion, there can be a statement that the organization’s moral standpoints and critics are conflicting and are by exclusively diverse sets of rationale, and there is a significant incompatibility in the justification of the ethical arguments’ intentions. Taking, for instance, is the environmental protection foundation’s critic to the organization’s operations for the environmental pollution. But the business can respond through the justification of the more value it is adding to the society which makes it comfortable by its services and products.

You may feel in the media and the Internet that you can understand everything, you can imagine how to live abroad. But this imagination is absolutely different from you actually live abroad. As we have seen numerous TV scenes in the story of love, but only we actually experienced love, we can appreciate the wonderful and helpless. Studying abroad life will greatly broaden your horizons. The real experience of multiculturalism can help you exercise the ability to think independently, cultivate frankly in the face of victory and failure mentality, and help you to more comprehensive understanding of human nature and society, but also let you more concerned about and love our country.
2. Language
With the development of our society, it seems more necessary and important to be bilingual. In the domestic environment, it is more difficult to break through and to learn another cultural expression. People from different cultures tend to express what they want to express culturally differently. If you are abroad with the local teacher, classmates and the community has full contact with the exchange, rather than all day with students who speak same language as you do, you will learn a new language and culture faster. Also getting into another culture is not easy, you won’t be able to get involved into another culture unless you go to that country.

Why Study Abroad
1. Life Experience Studying abroad is undoubtedly a very unique life experience, this experience is that you can not experience in your home country. I often think that studying abroad is not only science and technology, but also an important channel for understanding and integrating into different cultures. It is very important for students to form a complete outlook on life, world outlook and values. Modern social information has been very developed. You may feel in the media and the Internet that you can understand everything, you can imagine how to live abroad. But this imagination is absolutely different from you actually live abroad. As we have seen numerous TV scenes in the story of love, but only we actually experienced love, we can appreciate the wonderful and helpless. Studying abroad life will greatly broaden your horizons. The real experience of multiculturalism can help you exercise the ability to think independently, cultivate frankly in the face of victory and failure mentality, and help you to more comprehensive understanding of human nature and society, but also let you more concerned about and love our country.
2. Language
With the development of our society, it seems more necessary and important to be bilingual. In the domestic environment, it is more difficult to break through and to learn another cultural expression. People from different cultures tend to express what they want to express culturally differently. If you are abroad with the local teacher, classmates and the community has full contact with the exchange, rather than all day with students who speak same language as you do, you will learn a new language and culture faster. Also getting into another culture is not easy, you won’t be able to get involved into another culture unless you go to that country.
