I don't think you all understand how funny I am. I'll tell my friends a joke and we'll all laugh about it, but when they stop laughing, I just keep going. Jayvik 'Romance'?

Spoilers for Season 2

Love is a spectrum, from platonic to romantic, people experience love differently.

What ever argument you have about their relationship, its clear how deeply Jayce and Viktor care for each other.

When they're in the astral plane together, Jayce knows exactly what caused Viktor to want this future. He knows Viktor's mind because he's seen it first hand.

'You've always wanted to cure what you thought were weaknesses' but Jayce never saw Viktor as less than because of those things.

After all the pain and suffering they had gone through, Jayce striving so hard to make Hextech something they could give to the world. 'Now, all I want... is my partner back', what he wanted then was to give to the people, but in this moment with them together, he only wants the Viktor he once knew back at his side.

Future Viktor tells Jayce, that Viktor finds him: in /all/ timelines, he finds Jayce; in /all/ possibilities, Jayce is the only one who can save him.

They're literally soulmates. You can argue that they're 'romantic', or that they're 'brotherly', but they would both be incorrect.

'Brotherly' doesn't go far enough to encompass what they have, they want everything for each other, and lose themselves without the other.

'Romantic' just puts what they are into too small a box. It downplays the emotions and affections they have for one another. It makes what they have seem so small compared to what it really is.

They are soulmates; made for each other, through the very fabric of existence, they are weaved together and are unable to exist without the other. Their very existence relies on the other.

So, they can't be put into a box. Their love isn't linear. It goes beyond what we as people comprehend, something so innate and deep that they are drawn to each other in every single universe.

What if Chuuya is so attached to Dazai because he knows that, if Dazai dies there will be no one in the world who can stop his corruption and the damage it might do to himself and others. So he risks everything he can to save Dazai, even if it risks his own life, because if Dazai dies, the sense of self and humanity Chuuya has will diminish and he'll be lost forever.

We've seen how insane Chuuya's corruption makes him. How he despises doing it, and *yet*, we still see, that when he knew Dazai may be dead (during the fight with Fyodor), it didn't matter. He has a sense of protection over Yokohama, he used his corruption regardless because it was the only thing that could kill the dragon. And even in his corrupted state, he sought out Dazai and fought to save him. It didn't matter if his corruption killed him in the process, because if Dazai was truly dead, Chuuya would die anyway.

Chuuya fought a literal DRAGON to find Dazai. They work so well together and know each other so fucking well, that Chuuya knew, Dazai would most likely have that pill in his mouth. He knew exactly what to do. And even in his corrupted state Chuuya seemed so much more steady when he actually *found* Dazai. Chuuya can recognise Dazai and the safety he provides him, even when he can't control himself.

He literally placed *all bets* on a man he claims to hate. And time and time again he puts his life in Dazai's hands.

Because no matter how much he acts as though he hates the man, his entire life, career, and survival, rests in Dazai's hands. And the trust they have in each other, even on opposing sides, never wavers. Even if they work for organisations which oppose, Dazai and Chuuya are *never* enemies.
