Spicy cake a homebrew dnd desert that is one of my characters favorite deserts! Details:

Spicy cake description:

Spicy Cake

Wondrous Item, Rare

This fiery confection is an infamous delicacy among adventurers and partygoers. The cake is baked with a perilous combination of chili peppers, hot sauce, exotic spices, and traditional cake ingredients. Its taste is both irresistible and potentially dangerous, making it a staple of party games and dares.

Effects:

Consumption Check: Upon eating a slice of Spicy Cake, the consumer must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 14).

Success: The cake invigorates the eater with its intense heat and flavor, granting temporary hit points equal to 1d6 + the character’s Constitution modifier for 1 hour.

Failure: The overwhelming spice wreaks havoc on the eater, dealing 1d4 fire damage.

Pain Tolerance: If the DM determines the character has a low pain tolerance, the eater must roll a d8 instead of a d4 for the damage. The DM may consider Constitution modifiers, character background, or narrative cues to decide this.

Addiction or Challenge: Despite its risks, Spicy Cake has a peculiar allure. Characters who eat it once may feel compelled to eat more either out of addiction or social pressure. A character might need to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 12) to resist further consumption in a party setting.
