It makes me so relieved that Y/n finally let something out to make them realise what they did was so terrible to do to a human being in general. And I'm so proud of you to let that perspective overtake what the readers already knew but the boys didnt. It's not about trauma it's not about to have an alternative. But after this i came to doubt was Namjoon ever in love in the first place

anyways, falling in love and falling out of love can happen. you can love someone and eventually lose feelings. the thing about namjoon was that he did love y/n, but because she wasn't reciprocating with opening up and being vulnerable with him, he came to a conclusion that perhaps he wasn't the best for her and eventually his insecurities led him to get upset and stop trying in the relationship, which also led to his feelings dwindling. it can happen guys, people can lose feelings.

and losing feelings for someone can lead you to doing stupid things like what namjoon did; thinking it best to force her to push away and leave because he was too much of a coward to push her away and leave himself. his intentions was wanting her to be happy again, and thought the best way it could happen was if she returned to her father and her doing that on her own will was him feeling less guilty about what he's done.

namjoon was an a-hole but he did love y/n and he did fall out of love. there's nothing else that can be said, no other meaning. he was a man who lost feelings for someone he used to love.
