Mm.. nope. Not his good leg, that was his foot. His good foot, thankfully. Or at least it was, until her metal one was crushing it.

His pain tolerance was high, and he had trained himself not to audibly express his discomfort, he accomplished this by gritting his teeth against the startled yelp that had tried to escape, eyes squeezing shut while the assault on his poor foot escalated.

He didn't retaliate, not only because it was Lopey, but also.. yeah, he kind of deserved it for teasing her. He'd take his lumps - or bruises, when they were earned.

Then suddenly, she'd lunged and he had his arms full of snarling teenager, eyes snapping open with a blink, feeling her clawed fingers snagging in his fur, before her head buried into him.

His poor brain short-circuited until he heard her words, and the spreading dampness against his fur, ears pricking in alarm, then subsequently lowering, while he wrapped shaking arms around her, head resting atop her own, uncaring of the tweaking ache along his ribs, and spine in the process of partially cradling her.

His response a bit gruffer than normal, with a sting behind his eyes.

"Yeah, Lopey.. I promise. Never again."

It takes a moment to register what had her so perturbed, but when it did, he couldn't help the amused laughter that bubbled out of him, only for him to wince and press a hand to his still-wrapped ribs, with a shake of his head.

"Ow.. damn it, forgot about that.."

Exhaling a fleetingly pained breath, he nonetheless grinned down at his exasperated charge, with a playful pat to her rounded ears.

"That's not true Lopey, you're very fond of chicken. I make it for you all the time. Those are technically birds, right?"

He was putting himself at risk of being kicked in his good leg, and he knew it, snickering and affectionately nuzzling his fluffy blockhead to hers.

"Sorry Lope, my old man is showing. Just means I'm tired of being in the wrong, and having to apologize for it. So I'm going to keep my dumb rationalizations to a minimum for a while, that's all."

While he had every intention to snag the clothes and make an immediate departure back downstairs, he paused at the doorway and looked back, brow furrowed at the sight of Fynn's fitful rest, curled in a fetal position and sweaty face half-buried in a pillow.

Tucking the change of clothes safely in his inventory, he ducked into the en-suite bathroom for a minute, fetching the bottle of medicine that Fynn had been prescribed to manage his occasional migraines.

As the bottle was still firmly shut, he thought it was unlikely that his companion had taken any, but even he had, it would have been safe for another dose at this point. Not that he planned on waking him to take it, he'd just make it easier for him.

Popping open the bottle, he shook out a capsule and twisted the lid back on, returning the bottle to the cabinet. Flicking off the dim light, he quietly creaked the bathroom door back open, setting the pill, and a bottle of water from his inventory, seal pre-cracked - onto the night stand where it would be in easy reach, when he stirred of his own accord.

With an affectionate ruffle of his sweaty hair, he flipped on the little fan on the dresser to help cool him down, gently yanking one of the thinner blankets up to his shoulder, so the rest of him wouldn't get chilled.

With some of his 'caretaker' instincts satisfied, he half-shut the bedroom door behind him as he headed out, and back down the stairs to presumably meet Rohan in the downstairs bathroom.

He blinked at the sight he was greeted with, worry surfacing anew while he pulled the purloined clothes from his inventory, and set them on the sink.

"What are you searching for, Pup?"

At the despondent response, he scratched a bit anxiously at the back of his neck, duo-gaze shifting from the shaky skeleton, to the empty bathtub.

"Aside from the make-up wipes, and the bleachy ones..? I don't think we have any. Err.. would a bath be better? Like I said, I.. don't mind helping. You could just relax, and I'll sponge you down."

A faint smirk touched his lips, leaning a hip against the sink counter until the other made up his mind about the offer.

"All after-care is important, after all. I like to think I'm pretty practiced."

“Nothing substantial? Could just.. heat up some soup then. Honestly don’t think I have the energy to cook anything, anyway..”

He glanced back when he followed him into the kitchen, heaving a sigh, and a swat of a paw to his face when he’s reminded of the obvious.

“Of course.. food and whatever can wait, we’re going to get you cleaned up and changed. Can’t leave the night behind you, if you’re still wearing it.”

He got down a mug and from the cabinet, a bottle of over-the-counter pain meds, filling the mug with hot water from the filtered tank in the sink, then dropping in a ginger tea packet to steep.

Popping open the bottle, he shook a few tiny pills into his paw, crushing the rest of the packet into the cup before tossing the packet in the trash, and squeezing some honey into the mug, stirring it up with a spoon.

Sliding the mug over, he offered the pills for him to take with it, downing a couple himself and chasing them with a glass of tap water, returning everything to their proper cabinets.

“Figured we’d nip the stress headache in the bud. I’m going to grab some clothes from Fynn’s room, you okay to make it to the bathroom yourself? Probably best to use the downstairs one.”

He ducked out of the kitchen to flip the hallway light on, thankfully the bedrooms were upstairs, so if they were quiet, they wouldn’t disturb the whole house getting him settled.

“I’ll help you, whichever you decide on.. okay? And I’ll be right back.”

With that he stole quietly up the stairs, doing his best not to wake his ailing companion while sneaking a change of clothes from his dresser, and heading back down to meet Rohan in the bathroom once they’d been safely procured.
