Not here to share my thoughts on Tender is the Flesh as I would just be repeating what many others have already said, but I’m here wanting to talk about a silly thing I did.
I (mis)read the final line of the book while flipping through pages (since I hadn’t yet finished the book at the time) and thought I read
‘she had the look of an animal’
And I thought the story was going to end with Jasmine having given birth to a baby girl with the face of a farm animal. And like.. wouldn’t that have been crazy?? Like that would’ve also been a crazy twist.
Still not as crazy as what happened though. Yikes!
