Drunk on Your Captain
Levi x Reader (fluff, sfw)
The night had been a blur of laughter, cheers, and clinking glasses. It was a rare occasion for the members of the Special Operations Squad to let loose so you found yourself in the midst of it all, thoroughly intoxicated.
As the night progressed, your ability to stand diminished. Levi, who had been keeping an eye on you from a distance, sighed when he saw you stumble for the seventeenth time, and decided it was time to intervene before you ended up with an injury.
You looked up at him with bleary eyes, and a goofy grin spread across your face. "C-Captain!" you slurred, extending your arms for a hug that he expertly dodged.
"You've had enough," Levi’s tone was as stern as ever, "let’s get you back to your quarters."
You nodded agreeably, but slipped as you took another step and threw yourself onto your captain’s shoulder for support, causing Levi to naturally wrap an arm around your back.
"Damn it, you're like a wobbly infant," Levi muttered under his breath.
You giggled, finding his comparison amusing. Leaving the celebration hall, you continued to struggle and fold in multiple directions. Levi's irritation grew, causing him to kneel down, "Get on my back."
You blinked in confusion but didn't argue. With a clumsy movement, you plopped onto Levi's back, arms loosely draped over his shoulders. Levi stood up and walked with ease as he adjusted his grip on your legs.
"Eughhh… I'm scared I'll break your back…" you admitted.
"Impossible. I can barely feel you," Levi replied, attempting to sound indifferent. However, the truth was, he could. Your proximity was making his heart race, and the warmth of your body pressed against his back sent nervous shivers throughout his entire being.
"Ohhh, of course!" you exclaimed, a hint of realisation in your drunken stupor. "I forgot the walls were built to protect the Titans against you."
Levi could feel you grinning widely from the increased pressure of your cheek against his neck, and he couldn't help but subtly smile back, finding ridiculousness in your intoxicated logic.
"Wait… but if you can't feel my weight, then why are you walking soooo slowly?" you questioned.
"Because I won’t pay for the surgical bills if you fall off and crack your skull open," he replied dryly, with a hint of a lie hidden in his words. In reality, he just wanted to prolong this rare moment with you, to give it more time before reaching the destination.
You groaned but chuckled at his response. "I really hope I'm drunk enough to forget this moment. Otherwise I'll be way too embarrassed to face you tomorrow… Anyway, I'm so happy I got a free ride back!"
"It's not free. You will not forget this moment because when I get drunk, you have to repay me by carrying me on your back," Levi demanded, his voice serious.
"That's impossible! You have to give me a 10-year head start to bulk up," you retorted, only half-serious.
"Forget it then," Levi said, hesitating for a moment. "Your- partner might start feeling threatened by your muscles and break up with you."
You frowned, genuinely confused. "I have a boyfriend?! Man, I'm so drunk I didn't know I had a boyfriend… Is he handsome?"
Levi's thoughts raced, in relief. Oh, so the rumours weren't true.
Reaching your room, Levi carefully helped you down, and you stumbled through the door with a wave.
"Hey,” Levi's firm voice halted you just as you were about to close the door, “don't ever find yourself alone with a man while drunk. Ever again."
Your eyebrow raised, a hint of defiance in your gaze. "Aren't you a man?"
Levi's expression remained unyielding as he sighed. "I- am the only exception. Is that clear?" Your captain commanded like he was giving you an order on the battlefield. The weight of his words hung in the air, leaving no room for argument.
“Yes, sir…”
The next day, your memories were hazy. You woke up with a pounding headache and a sense of embarrassment lingering in the back of your mind. You had a squad meeting to attend, but the thought of facing Levi made you cringe.
You crept into the meeting hall, sitting at the back corner, as far away from the captain as possible. But Levi approached you, and you kind of wish he didn’t - your memories gradually recalled from the previous night had you unable to look even remotely in his direction.
Extending his arm with a flask of soup in hand, "hangover remedy," he said, expression unreadable yet soft eyes piercing into yours. You graciously accepted the flask, offering a murmured "thanks", trying to convince yourself that the warmth you felt creeping up your face was due to the warmth of the soup.

A Blindfolded Task
Megumi x Reader (fluff)
“Megumi refused the relaxation of your hold, and reinforced his grip on your hand.”
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting the training grounds in a warm, golden glow. To the delight of your deepest, hidden satisfaction, Gojo had paired Megumi and you for an exercise to enhance teamwork and instinct.
Fear resonated throughout the students as Gojo explained the rules, “the catch? You’re all gonna look just like me!” He erupted into laughter as he handed out blindfolds. The challenge was to navigate the training area together while avoiding the curses, sightless, relying solely on your partner's cues.
The soft fabric wrapped securely around your eyes, and a sense of anticipation hung in the air. Megumi's voice, calm and measured, broke the silence. "Stay close and follow my lead. We need to move together to succeed." With a nod that went unseen, you focused on the sound of Megumi's footsteps, trusting him to guide you through the maze of curses.
The first encounter with a curse jolted you both into action. Megumi's hand held yours instinctively, to collectively combat the threat without losing contact. You weren’t sure if your heart was racing from the sudden curse, or from his unexpected touch, perhaps it was both that sent a shiver down your spine. Yet, you reminded yourself that there was no time to dwell on it, the exercise demanded complete concentration.
Soon, the level of difficulty increased. The physical contact between the two of you became a lifeline, a key strategy to advancing in the task at hand in the midst of the unknown.
Gojo, watching from the sidelines, observed the struggle of every pair as they failed to maintain proximity and teamwork amidst the onslaught of curses. All except Megumi and you. Gojo couldn't help but smirk at the success of Megumi’s unconventional method. He paired the two of you intentionally, having sensed an unspoken tension between, knowing that it would bring you closer both physically and emotionally.
"Nice teamwork, Megumiii, Y/N!" Gojo called out, his voice carrying a hint of tease. "Who knew blindfolded combat could be soooo romantic?"
The comment earned an exasperated huff from Megumi, who was too focused on the challenge to retort as he usually would to his guardian. Yet, attempts were made to suppress the small smile that tugged at the corners of his lips.
You, affected by Gojo's remark, involuntarily loosened your grip on Megumi's hand, sensing an awkward tension emerging between the two of you. However, Megumi refused the relaxation of your hold, and reinforced his grip on your hand.
As the exercise reached its conclusion, blindfolds were removed. Feeling an overwhelming embarrassment lingering from the prolonged hand-holding, you couldn't bring yourself to steal even a fleeting glance in Megumi's direction. Yet, despite your attempt to avoid eye contact, you sensed Megumi's penetrating gaze fixed upon you, and an inevitable blush began to warm your cheeks.
After Gojo declared both of you as the winners and everyone began to pack up, Megumi hesitantly approached you, softly calling, "Y/N." You turned around, meeting his gaze with a questioning look. From the corner of Megumi’s eye, he noticed Gojo cheekily glancing at him with mischievous interest in whatever Megumi was about to say. Annoyed, Megumi shot Gojo a disapproving look before decisively taking your hand to lead you out of the room.
*Author’s Note: This is my first time writing about someone other than Levi, thank you and hope you enjoyed it regardless!

Tending to His Wounds
Levi x Reader
“your needlework is not as delicate- as you look”
The aftermath of the latest mission left scouts battered and worn, none more so than Captain Levi. Trudging back to his office, he began to remove his scarlet-stained uniform, revealing an array of injuries beneath. Bruises adorned his body like dark constellations, and among them, a deeper slash on his abdomen oozed with fresh blood.
Just as he reached for the first aid kit, gentle knocks resonated through the door, creaking open and revealing your silhouette. "Captain?" you said softly with concern and cautiousness lacing your words, “apologies, I couldn’t help but notice your gushing wound earlier, and realised the infirmary is closed so I was wondering if I could be of assistance?”
Although your captain had offered you much guidance in trainings, you wouldn’t say you, let alone anyone else, were particularly close to him. His tough exterior and reserved demeanour left you uncertain about the kind of person he was. Hence, a twinge of worry crept in, nervous that he might not appreciate you trailing to his office to help.
To your pleasant surprise, Levi merely nodded. You then moved with a silent determination, fetching water, disinfectant, cloth, bandages, needle and thread from the kit.
As you cleaned the affected areas, the office was filled with a quiet intimacy. The only sounds were the hushed whispers of cloth against his skin and the occasional hiss of pain from Levi when you poked the needle through.
As your hands worked tenderly on his skin, a whisper of wind danced through the open window, gracefully sweeping your hair to the side. In that moment, your concentrated yet soft eyes amongst other gentle features were unveiled to Levi with a new clarity. Captivating him even further from the way you moved with such a light, almost ethereal quality.
"Your needlework is not as delicate- as you look," his tone gruff, enduring the stitching process, as he gritted his teeth through the pain.
You were taken aback by his unexpected comment, not sure if you were understanding it right. The corners of Levi’s mouth curved up, gracing you with a rare smile, to which you chuckled softly. "Looks can be deceiving, Captain."
Once the bandage was secured, you took a step back, eyes meeting his as you whispered. “You’re good to go.”
"Thank you," Levi said, with dark and unwavering eyes refusing to break the deep connection with yours. Intimidated by the intensity of it, your gaze shyly averted and wandered around for a second, before you timidly nodded. A small smile trembled on your lips, "anytime…"
As silence settled between the both of you, you shifted away from him to pack up the first aid kit, not expecting what he’d say next.
"You don't have to be so damn caring," Levi muttered, attempting to revert to his usual sternness. “When work is over, take your well-deserved rest, there’s no need to assist men with their problems at this time.”
His eyes subtly widened in response to your sweet smile, "perhaps I just like taking care of my friends."
Levi's gaze softened, a rare vulnerability surfacing in the depths of his steel-blue eyes. Friends — a term he seldom used, but in that moment, it felt almost right.
"Get some rest, Captain. We have a long day ahead," you suggested softly.
Levi inclined his head, watching as you disappeared into the hallway. The moment you both just shared would have him pondering about it for the days to come. Alone in the dimly lit room, he realised that healing wasn't just about tending to wounds; it was also about finding solace in the presence of those who offered an understanding to the depth of his scars.

“I can do it myself.”
“I know you can, but let me.”
Levi x Reader
As co-captain, your dynamic with the other was notorious amongst the cadets — endless bickering and sharp-tongued retorts that, strangely, seemed to strengthen the bond between you both. Today, however, the tension between the two of you felt different after a mishap during a battle left you with broken fingers on one hand.
The weight of your backpack felt more burdensome than usual as your shoulders were stinging from the fight, and it was noticeable through your constant shoulder rolls. Without a word, Levi whisked it off your back and slung it over his shoulder.
"I broke my fingers, not my shoulders," you quipped, glancing at him with dark eyes. You hated to appear dependent on the co-captain, especially in front of your subordinates.
"And you didn't break your mouth either, but it's still yapping," Levi shot back, tone a familiar mix of irritation and playfulness, as he effortlessly bore the weight of 2 heavy haversacks. Though you rolled your eyes, beneath held a glint of appreciation for his gesture.
The day progressed, and evening descended. The roster indicated it was your turn to cook that evening but you found yourself struggling to slice meat with only one hand. Levi observed from a distance, approaching you with seriousness etched on his face, burying a hint of concern.
"Sit down," he commanded as he removed the knife from your hand.
You glared at him in disapproval, “who are you to give me orders? Don’t forget we’re the same rank, comrade.”
“Dinner will be delayed from your slowness.” He retorted with a monotone as he began cutting the meat.
Realising he had a point, you complied, but as you turned around your uninjured hand grazed the hot pan, eliciting an involuntary "ow" from you. Levi's eyes widened with worry, and in a heartbeat, he grabbed your hand and immersed it in a bucket of ice water.
"Leave it in for at least 10 minutes," he advised sternly. You slowly looked up at him as you wondered why his hand was still submerged in the water, holding yours.
“You burned your hand too?” your gaze shifting awkwardly towards it to which he realised. Quickly withdrawing, he hurried back to slicing the meat, but you caught a glimpse of crimson creeping up his face.
“Seems like you burned your cheeks instead, captain,” you teased with a playful smile forming. Initially, Levi ignored you completely. But for the following 7 minutes, his eyes kept flickering back to you, melting with concern.
After the meal, you found yourself alone, struggling to unbuckle the many buckles of your scouts uniform with only one hand. Levi, who had been observing from afar, approached silently.
“May I?” He asked as he kneeled down in front of you, voice unexpectedly tender.
"I can do it myself," you insisted, your pride refusing to let yourself be reliant on the co-captain. Levi watched you struggle for another 10 seconds, seeing no progress made.
"I know you can, but let me," he pleaded gently.
Caught off guard by the sincerity in his tone, you gradually lowered your hands in defeat, “fine...” Upon your consent, Levi put on his gloves, proceeding to unbuckle the brown leather straps of your uniform with swift ease.

Captain, Truth or Dare?
Levi x Reader
The open field outside the walls bathed in the soft saturated hues of the evening, as you and your comrades sat in a circle. Sasha had coerced everyone into playing ‘Truth or Dare’. Levi desperately wanted to find a quiet spot, away from hearing this nonsensical game, but had to stay close for protective duty.
Sasha smirked mischievously at you. "Alright, y/n, Spill it. Who do you have a crush on in the squad?”
A collective murmur of protest echoed through the group, "yeah we agreed not to ask that," you replied.
The air hung in silence as your refusal to answer left the question lingering. Sasha leaned in with a conspiratorial glint in her eye, "fine, fine. Then what's your ideal type of guy?"
You bit your lower lip, contemplating how to navigate this minefield without revealing too much. You had always been terrified that you would be kicked out of the squad if you revealed who had been occupying your thoughts all the time. Though word had it that Captain Levi gave you so much preferential treatment that a dismissal would never occur.
"I don't know," you began, strategically choosing to divert your true thoughts.
"Maybe someone carefree," thinking about his meticulous attention to detail.
"Laid-back," you continued, a complete opposite of Levi’s stern demeanour.
"Openly expressive," you added, against his highly reserved nature.
"A bit of a bad boy?" you chuckled, masking your captain’s discipline.
Connie giggled, "okay, so Captain is out."
Armin chimed in, "that's for sure."
Your words which painted a picture of an antithesis of Levi’s persona left him with disappointment subtly flickering in his eyes. He felt an unusually sudden twist in emotions, but ensured none of his feelings surfaced. Though he mastered the art of concealment, you noticed the tightening of his jaw when you glanced over at him, unsure of what it suggested.
Jean interjected teasingly. "Sounds like you're describing Eren."
You dismissed Jean's comment with a shake of your head, finding it utterly ridiculous. "Eren is way too young for me."
Eren, with an offended sneer on his face, "Uh, three years is barely any difference."
Eyes narrowed, you retorted, "Uh, yes it is."
Eren persisted, his playful grin widening, "You're just being prejudiced against younger guys. Bet you wouldn’t say the same thing about a man three years older."
Levi, quietly eavesdropping on the exchange, side-eyed the group, a secret indication of his curiosity. All eyes turned to you as the conversation hung in the air.
"Fine, this time you're right, a man three years older would definitely be perfect for me." You admitted, thinking it was a safe answer, while Eren snickered in victory.
The atmosphere shifted as Sasha, always eager for some excitement, seized the opportunity. "Alright, Captain, truth or dare?"
Ignoring Sasha entirely, Levi remained aloof, leaving the air thick with awkwardness.
Sasha pressed on, undeterred by the captain's silence, "okay truth! So captain, what is your birth year? I mean you know all of our ages, could we have an exchange of clarity?"
The question hung in the air, and for a moment, the entire field seemed to hold its breath. Levi's eyes flickered, a subtle change in his typically stoic expression.
"829," Levi admitted. A collective gasp of disbelief echoed through the group. You, too, were taken aback; yes he had a youthful appearance, but his experience was nothing short of astonishing, so you always assumed he was at least 7 years your senior.
“WAIT, that means Captain is three years older than y/n?!” Eren exclaimed, his surprise mirroring your own.
Sasha erupted into laughter, "Y/n, what were you saying again, about a man three years older?"
“Perfect for you?” Jean added to the fire.
The entire group joined in, a chorus of laughter that seemed to reverberate through the field. Heat rushed to your face, the teasing turning your cheeks crimson as you wished to dive into a deep hole.
Seeing your vulnerable body language, Levi intervened, breaking the moment with his sternness. He threw a bunch of papers towards the group, the rustle of the pages cutting through the laughter,
"Break is over. First person to collect all the plants listed gets extra meat for dinner tonight."
The shift from amusement to duty was swift, and the group dispersed as everyone refocused on the mission at hand. You and Levi locked eyes for a brief but electrifying moment before you shamefully looked away, then trudged off into the fields.

I Need Your Help, Captain…
Captain Levi x F! Reader
The atmosphere within the Survey Corps headquarters was thick with anticipation for the upcoming mission. Scouts hurriedly made their way to the field, as the clock edged nearer to the gathering time.
As you hastily wore your 3D manoeuvre gear, the brown leather meant to strap across your chest had somehow got its buckle stuck against a button of your shirt. Panic flickered through your eyes; this was not the time for wardrobe malfunctions.
You attempted to free the buckle, fingers fumbling in the fabric, but the stubborn knot seemed to defy your every effort. Dashing around, with a handkerchief covering your chest, you searched the entire floor for help. Frustration welled up within you as your surroundings seemed to be completely vacant.
At that moment, you noticed the stern figure of Levi through his office door. You hesitated initially, opposed to seeking help from the opposite gender for a situation like this, let alone from THE Captain Levi…
With only 2 minutes left, you were left with no choice, taking a deep breath and knocking on his opened door. Levi looked up from his paperwork, sharp gaze meeting yours.
"What do you want? Why are you still here?” He questioned, quickly glancing at the clock, “It's almost time."
"I, um, Captain," you stammered, a blush creeping up your cheeks. "I seem to have a bit of a problem with my uniform, and was wondering if you could help me?”
Levi arched an eyebrow, "Seriously… Uniform trouble? You cadets never cease to amaze me. Fine, where?"
You shuffled closer to him, nervously lowering the handkerchief, exposing the top half of your partially-buttoned shirt. Levi’s eyes assessed the situation for only a split second, before instantly looking back up at your eyes with a wary glance. You couldn't help but feel a mixture of embarrassment and anticipation.
He approached carefully, "Looks like you've managed to tie yourself in a knot, cadet," Levi remarked dryly as he swallowed hard, “May I?”
You nodded shyly, his fingers then deftly working to unravel the buckle from your button. His touch was surprisingly gentle, respectful, and you tried to suppress the shiver that threatened to run down your spine. The close proximity of your captain, with hands so near, was both intimidating and electrifying.
“Well, fair enough, this is one stubborn button.” Levi sighed, as he faced a challenge more difficult than severing titan napes.
All of a sudden, a voice hollered at the door, “captain? Its been 5 minute-” Connie stepped into the office as his eyes widened at the scene unfolding before him - His captain’s hands at the middle of your chest, your shirt buttoned only half-way down…
Levi placed his hands on your waist, and whisked your body with remarkable speed, so that his form became a barrier shielding you from Connie's view. “LEAVE. And shut the door, I’ll be there soon.” Levi’s voice boomed through the air.
Though embarrassment consumed you, the rush of butterflies that filled your stomach overpowered any other feeling. "Thank you, Captain," you mumbled, grateful for his protective gesture.
When the obstacle was finally overcome, you both ran to the field, inevitably facing heads turned back at the two of you. You stood in your position, unsure if your heart was pounding from the run, from your comrades glaring at you, or… from thoughts drifting back to the subtle intimacy of those 7 minutes in his office.

I Want My Kids to Have Your Eyes
Levi x Reader (fluff, sfw)
what a bold thing to say to your captain.
Moonlight hung over the hill like a comforting blanket as you both reclined an arm’s length apart on the soft grass beneath, bodies sinking into the earth. The day had been relentless, a gruelling mission that tested every ounce of strength. Now, in the quiet aftermath, you two found solace gazing upward at the summit’s view, shimmering like scattered diamonds against the canvas of the night sky.
The shared stillness remained comfortable, before you posed a soft interruption to the quietude, "Captain, do you ever think about your future?"
Levi's eyes briefly left the constellations above, attention shifting to you. "Yes, it usually ranges from the next second to the next few months. Which area of land outside the walls to explore, how defensive operations should alter for the next month, which day certain intelligen-”
“Captain-” You interrupted, then hesitated, the vulnerability of the topic making your heart race. "I meant a peaceful future, like having a family, kids?"
Levi's brow furrowed slightly. The thought of it was unfamiliar, impossible. "In this war? That’s far-fetched," he remarked, gaze returning to the stars.
A subtle smile grew on your lips as scenarios played at the back of your mind. "I know, of course, but don’t you ever imagine it? A life after the war, a future where Titans are just stories we tell our children." Levi's expression softened, a fleeting hint of wistfulness in his eyes.
"Like sometimes I think if I had children, I’d take them to play by the oceans, make adorable lunch sets," you continued, "how beautiful they would look if they had your eyes…" Embarrassment started flushing up as you realised you rambled on way too far.
His eyes widened imperceptibly, caught completely off guard by your comment.
"WAIT, that didn’t come out right. I didn’t mean having them with YOU, of course... definitely not…" You trailed off, a splash of pink painfully obvious on your cheeks. Get yourself together y/n, what on earth are you saying to your captain?
“Ouch.” A flicker of disappointment crossed his features. Levi cleared his throat, seemingly caught in the unexpected turn of the conversation. "Well aren’t you very in objection to that idea." he snickered, hiding a trace of sorrow beneath his face.
“Nevermind, I’m sorry, please forget what I said." You apologised in the tense atmosphere.
But Levi didn't dismiss it. Instead, his mind seemingly remained lost in contemplation. "How will your children have my eyes, if they don't have my genetics?" Determined to disprove your faulty reasoning.
You chuckled nervously, "I just mean I hope they’ll be a pretty colour, and delicate shape, like yours."
Levi displayed a rare vulnerability in his expression. He had never given thought to the aesthetic of his eyes; they were simply a part of him, a feature he never considered noteworthy. This was the first time he had received a compliment about them, and it left him momentarily speechless.
"At this rate, my most optimistic guesstimate is that I’ll be slaying titans till I’m 60." You broke the awkwardness joking, "in that case I might not be able to have kids, doubt any man would still take my crinkled self on a date anyway."
"Why not?" Levi replied seriously, his voice a soft echo in the tranquil night. "I won't be even a tiny bit surprised if you're still this beautiful at 85."
A blood-bathed blush adorned your complexion, stomach filling with butterflies and warmth, brain connections zapping around - wondering if he really thought that way, or,
“you’re just saying that.”
Levi sighed, “in all your years of knowing me, when have I ever felt obliged to tell a white lie, Comrade?”
"Right…” You muttered, with all sorts of thoughts doing laps beneath your skull, trying to continue the conversation as level-headed as possible. “Perhaps I'll meet my first love at 99,” a giggle escaping your breath as you joked.
Unexpectedly, Levi's response carried a weight that belied the casual banter. "Well. I think people can be in love without being in a formal relationship. You could easily have your first love now."
Your gaze laid upon his side profile, slightly puzzled by his logic, "but how can you be in love with someone without holding hands, saying mushy things, and all that?"
His head turned towards you, a moment of silence filling the air with eyes drilling into yours, revealing a sincerity that tugged at your heart. "I definitely can."

I’ll Keep You Warm.
Captain Levi x Reader
fluff, sfw, what would comrades do when it’s bedtime but it’s freeeezing cold?
The winter moon hung low in the ink-black sky, casting an ethereal glow over the desolate landscape. Levi and you, seasoned comrades in his squad, found yourselves alone together on a mission that demanded stealth.
As dusk settled in, the two of you found a place to lay a mat and prepare for a much needed slumber. The dark atmosphere was punctuated only by the crackling flames of a small fire that fought valiantly, against the numbing cold which caused you involuntary shivers.
Though a blanket wrapped your entire body, Levi’s sharp eyes noticed your discomfort underneath. The furrow in his brow deepened as he observed your attempts to fight off the cold. Without a word, he sat up and draped his only blanket over you. You looked up at him, with surprise and gratitude, but also with worry flickering in your eyes.
“Thank you, Captain. But no, you’ll freeze.” manoeuvring his blanket towards him.
"I won't. I never feel cold." Levi said in his usual gruff tone. You appreciated the sentiment but sensed the deception in his words, conveyed for the sake of your comfort.
"As if. Please, take it back." Straining against his overpowering strength, you tussled with him, each trying to ensure the other would be shielded from the biting surroundings.
Levi's gaze held yours, "I've been through worse. Keep it." Yet you were still unwavering in your refusal. The dispute went back and forth, and back and forth, till he moved even closer.
"You're really stubborn, you know that?" his breath forming small clouds in the frigid air.
"I won’t let you freeze on my account," you replied softly, eyes melting into his, teeth chattering slightly.
In a move that surprised you, but with a gentle gesture, Levi guided your shoulders to lie down. He then reclined beside you, arm brushing against yours, close enough that the warmth of his body became a soothing presence. He then reached for the edges of both blankets, doubling them up and wrapping them around the both of you. The sudden proximity had a flush creeping up your cheeks.
"Sharing body heat is the most efficient way to stay warm," Levi stated matter-of-factly, “and I see this as the only resolution to your…disobedience.” A subtle smile turned up on your face, while you hoped Levi wouldn’t stop babbling or he might hear your heart pounding to leap out.
There had always been a bond between the both of you that surpassed mere friendship, though your jobs kept any romantic inclinations at bay. The quiet intimacy of this night conspired to blur the lines between comrades and something more.
You succumbed to the lull of weariness, closing your eyes against the darkness. Exhaustion had taken such a toll on you that you were unaware of your cheek nestling against his shoulder. The last thing you heard before slipping into the realm of dreams was Levi's whisper, “goodnight, y/n”

You’re Staying Under My Protection
Captain Levi x Reader
The atmosphere in the Survey Corps headquarters was tense as Captain Levi paced back and forth in his office. The Captain of the Special Operations Squad had never been one to get worked up over his emotions. His stern exterior was well-known among the soldiers, but there was now a particular person who managed to chip away at the walls he had built around himself.
The weight of a decision he had no control over laid heavily on his shoulders, one that involved not just the fate of humanity beyond the walls but the safety of someone he couldn't help but want deeply to protect – you, a member of his squad and, annoyingly, someone who had found a way into his guarded heart.
As he awaited the final word from Commander Keith Shadis, Levi couldn't shake the unease that settled in his chest. Shadis had demanded your presence on his team to be vital for the upcoming expedition beyond the walls, a verdict that left Levi feeling frustrated and powerless.
Levi's thoughts were a turbulent sea of conflicting emotions. On one hand, he understood the necessity of the mission and the need for capable soldiers with specific skills and knowledge to contribute. On the other, the idea of you being under someone else's command, especially someone like Shadis, left a bitter taste in his mouth.
There was no way the Commander could protect you nearly as well as he would.
Levi stormed into the room where Shadis and his subordinates deliberated. His entrance was a forceful declaration of his discontent, and the intensity in his wintry steel eyes silenced the room.
"Commander," Levi's voice cut through the air like a blade, "we need to talk. Everyone, out.”
The Survey Corps team exchanged uneasy glances before quickly vacating the room, leaving Levi and Shadis alone with the uncertainty of the impending confrontation hanging in the air. Shadis, unfazed by the abrupt intrusion, glared at Levi with green eyes stabbing out of his dark panda circles.
"Levi, this isn’t about your special affection for [Your Last Name] again, is it?" Shadis flashed a sly grin, teasing the captain. Levi fixed him with an unyielding glare.
"You’re not taking [Your Name] away from my squad." Levi demanded with unwavering conviction, “That’s final.” Shadis leaned back, chuckling, folding his arms as he belittled Levi.
"Kid, this lineup isn’t personal. It's about ensuring we have the best-suited soldiers on this critical mission. You know that as well as I do. [Your Last Name]'s skills are needed on this expedition." In a burst of frustration, Levi slammed his hand on the table, the sound echoing in the room.
"I trained [Your Name] personally. I won't let you throw my comrades into the fire without me there to watch their back!" The bond between a captain and his squad ran deep, and Levi was not willing to let go easily. Shadis, unmoved by Levi's plea, crossed his arms and leaned against the desk.
"Not up for negotiation. In actual fact, [Your Last Name] agreed to this, even expressed excitement about joining this mission! Clearly you’ve failed to ask for [Your Last Name]’s desires before clouding your judgement. I’m done with this conversation." Levi's narrowed eyes softened, taken aback, and absorbed some truth to what the Commander said.
Unbeknownst to both leaders, you stood just beyond the door, absorbing every word exchanged. You entered the room, gentle eyes laying on your Captain’s.
"Captain, thank you for your concern, but I am more than capable of ensuring my own safety. This is what you trained me for. Allow me to join the Survey Corps on this mission. They need me, and I need this opportunity." Levi's fists clenched at his sides, his gaze never wavering from yours.
"Fine," Levi finally relented after much hesitation, his voice tight. Silence filling the air as he breathed heavily, "but [Your Name] is my responsibility. I expect [Your Name] to return to me unharmed." He fixed Shadis with an intense, piercing stare, requiring reassurance. “Or else I will take this personally.”
Shadis nodded, acknowledging Levi's concession.
As Commander Shadis and you left the room to leave for the mission, you thanked your captain with a nod and subtle smile. Though Levi lowered his head back at you, his frustration reached its peak. He couldn't shake the fear that lingered in the depths of his mind. The walls may protect humanity from the titans, but they could not shield his heart from the fear of losing someone he cared for again. For now, all he could do was hope that you would return safely.

An Unexpected Response
Levi x Reader
fluff, sfw
It had been a year since the war ended, and with all the Titans extinguished, a newfound tranquillity settled upon Paradis. You had been a constant presence in Levi's life, from fighting alongside him, to staying in his house and helping him through a post-war wheelchair-bound year which he finally recovered from. The two of you shared a platonic bond, yet beneath the surface, there was a subtle hint of something more.
One evening, you reclined on the couch as Levi sat upright across from you. Wintry steel eyes meeting yours, he broke the quietude, voice low and filled with genuine curiosity, "what do you feel you're missing from your life now, after all this?" he asked, gaze unwavering.
After a bit of hesitation, a playful smile curved on your lips. “Perhaps I should start going on dates. You know, finally agree to the many guys who ask me out on the streets," you replied cheekily, a teasing glint in your eyes. Levi stayed silent, fixing you with a serious glare. His gaze then shifted downward briefly before rising again, eyes now carrying softness as they met yours.
The next morning, sunlight streaming through the curtains, you awoke to the clinking of utensils. Blinking away sleep, you found Levi in the kitchen, preparing a meticulously arranged picnic basket. Perplexed, you approached him, curiosity in your voice. "What's all this for?" Levi paused, his expression guarded. "You said you wanted to go on dates," he stated matter-of-factly, eyes avoiding yours.
Your eyes widened in disbelief. "Wait… You and I? On a date? Now?" you sputtered, taken aback. Levi shrugged, feigning nonchalance as he began to unpack the basket, “never mind, I guess you weren't serious about it." The realisation hit you, and a mischievous grin crept across your face. "No, wait! Yes, give me 30—actually, no, 15 minutes," you exclaimed, rushing to get ready for the unexpected adventure.
Emerging from your room, you wore a (outfit of your choice that he’s never seen you in). Levi's eyes widened imperceptibly as he took in your appearance. "You look..." he began, his voice trailing off. A subtle blush dusted his cheeks, and he cleared his throat. "Let's go," he muttered, leading the way out of the house to where a single horse stood waiting. With a graceful gesture, he offered a hand. You sat behind him, hands on his waist as you set off to a surprise.
As the horse carried you both up a hill, a breathtaking view unfolded before you. The sun painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow on the landscape. Levi spread a blanket, and the picnic commenced. The atmosphere was light, filled with laughter and shared stories. Levi's gaze softened as he watched you smile and chatter away. Your eyes met his, and you felt a warmth spreading through you, wishing this moment would last forever.

Forbidden Tension
Captain Levi x Reader
Levi tried very hard to dismiss his intrusive thoughts and behaviour. He struggled whenever you were around - from feeling instinctively drawn to stealing glances at you, to the way his heart inexplicably freezes when you’d face minor attacks from titans.
The more time he spent around you, the more he grew to admire you. He noticed the way you’d express your intellectual opinion in an authoritative yet gentle manner. Your swift and delicate hands when you sewed his wounds close. Not to mention how fast you picked up combat skills with a rare talent for it.
Levi felt an emotional connection growing strongly as well. Sometimes in the quiet moments after missions when it was just the two of you, casual conversations lingered. Your laughter resonating in the air, and Levi finding himself captivated by the genuine warmth in your smile. It frustrated his righteousness and responsibility as a captain when he realised how much he looked forward to having these conversations with you. He was never one to care about what anyone thought of him, except when it came to you. He’d sometimes wonder how you perceived him… not as a captain, but as a person.
As weeks passed, training sessions became a stage for unspoken tension. When you two spar, it’s always a walk in the park for his physical strength that surpasses that of anyone else. Levi’s movements were usually steadfast and precise, but this time his eyes held a fleeting vulnerability when they suddenly met your soft gaze. You instantly realised, using the opportunity to lock his knee and throw him to the ground. With your forearm pressing against his chest and thigh pinning his down, two pairs of nervous yet eager eyes locked for perhaps a reality of 3 seconds, which felt like an hour.
Oftentimes, when his eyes would make contact with yours, his would linger... longer than necessary. Everyone knew the stoic captain’s stare to hold a chill that cuts through the warmth of any gaze. But to you, when he’d look at you, it was like a subtle dance between the fading daylight and the impending night. Truth be told, you fancied him from the moment you joined his team. But aware of the implications, you always masked your burgeoning feelings behind a façade of professionalism.
Though the captain sensed an underlying tension between the two of you, he was determined to keep the thoughts he had about you hidden. Duty remained an ever-present shadow over the internal struggle of yearning for more. So he spoke to you, and about you, only when he had to.
By your second year on the team, it became significantly noticeable to the rest of the team and a popular hearsay. One night, you entered Levi’s dimly lit quarters upon his request, eager to share your mission discoveries. As you jumped straight into discussing battle strategies, his typically rigid demeanour softened for a moment, looking downwards as he said, "Your ideas are very valuable, y/n.” An uncomfortable pause filled the air, “but I called you here today to initiate a different conversation. One that I have been wrong to keep avoiding." His eyes shifting back to yours, “one about us.”
Your eyes widened, not ready for this conversation that inevitably had to occur. The weight of unexpressed emotions hung in the air. A flicker of something more bounced off the walls in this quiet corner. Levi hesitated, fingers tracing the edge of a map as he sought the right words. Then admitted, "This life is unpredictable. We can't afford distractions." You understood the weight of his words, but your heart still dropped, knowing that the moments you yearned for were forbidden.
