The 80/20 Rule: 2025’s Secret Weapon to a Great Year in Self-Improvement

The 80/20 rule (aka the Pareto Principle), is a concept that states that roughly 80% of results come from 20% of the efforts or inputs. In other words, a small proportion of your actions, efforts, or time will yield the majority of your desired outcomes.
The principle was first observed by Vilfredo Pareto who noticed that 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population. It can be applied across various areas of life, including business, productivity, and personal development.
Time Management & Productivity
Focus on the 20% of tasks that will yield 80% of your results. For instance, you might find that 20% of your daily tasks are responsible for most of your achievements, while the rest are distractions or less impactful.
Example: If you’re writing a blog post, 20% of the content might require 80% of your energy and focus, while the rest could be secondary edits or less critical details.
Business & Sales
Often, 20% of your customers bring in 80% of your revenue. By identifying and nurturing these key clients, you can maximize profits with less effort.
Example: Focus your marketing efforts on the top 20% of products or services that generate the most sales.
Personal Development
20% of the habits, thoughts, or actions you focus on may create 80% of the positive changes in your life.
Example: If you focus on mastering 20% of your most important personal habits, like morning routines or self-reflection, they could have the most significant impact on your success.
Learning & Skill Development
80% of the knowledge you need may come from just 20% of the material you study.
Example: When learning a new skill, focusing on the core principles (the 20%) can provide most of the value, rather than spreading yourself too thin across a broad range of topics.
Applying the 80/20 Rule in Self-Development:
1. Prioritize What Matters Most
Instead of overwhelming yourself with endless tasks or goals, identify the 20% of activities or actions that have the greatest impact on your growth. If you’re building a personal brand, for instance, focus on the 20% of actions (such as consistent networking with key individuals) that will bring in the majority of results.
2. Identify and Eliminate Time-Wasters
Look at where you are spending the most time. Are 80% of your activities not contributing to your goals? Use the 80/20 principle to identify those unproductive habits or distractions and focus more on what truly matters.
3. Set Clear, High-Impact Goals
In your personal or professional development, prioritize goals that will move you forward the fastest. Rather than spreading yourself thin trying to achieve everything, channel your energy into fewer, high-value actions.
4. Focus on Key Relationships
In building a high-value network, it’s often the case that 20% of the people you interact with are responsible for the majority of your opportunities. Focus on nurturing these key relationships that truly add value to your life. Network, network, network. I sold my biggest deal ever the other day because of a friend. Take my word for it.

Using the Power of Habit Stacking in 2025

When it comes to personal development, one of the most powerful strategies for creating lasting change is habit stacking. It’s something I’ve been testing out in 2024 that I’m bringing with me into 2025. This method is simple yet incredibly effective, allowing you to seamlessly add new habits to your routine without overwhelming yourself. Whether you’re aiming to boost productivity, improve health, or cultivate a more luxe lifestyle, habit stacking can be the shortcut to sustainable growth.
Habit stacking is the practice of attaching a new habit to an existing one. You take a habit that you already do automatically—something that’s ingrained in your daily routineand pair it with a new behavior that you want to establish. This creates a “stack” of habits that flow together, making the new habit feel natural rather than forced.
The beauty of habit stacking lies in its simplicity. Humans are creatures of habit, and the more you can align new behaviors with your existing routines, the more likely you are to stick with them. Your brain already associates certain actions with specific times of the day, so why not take advantage of that structure? Instead of trying to create an entirely new habit from scratch, you leverage the momentum of your established habits.
1. Identify Your Anchor Habit
The first step in habit stacking is identifying your “anchor habit”—a behavior you already do without thinking. For example, maybe you always have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, or you walk your dog after dinner. Your anchor habit is the base that you will attach your new habit to.
2. Choose a Small, Achievable Habit
Next, choose a small habit that aligns with your goals. It should be something so simple that you can’t fail at it—this increases your chances of following through. For instance, if you want to read more, you might stack a 5-minute reading session immediately after your morning coffee. Or, if you’re looking to practice gratitude, you could write down one thing you’re thankful for after brushing your teeth.
3. Make It Specific and Clear
The more specific and clear your stack is, the better. Don’t just say, “I’ll workout later today.” Instead, say, “I’ll stretch for 5 minutes right after I take my vitamins, then I’ll get ready for the gym” The more precise your action and timing, the easier it is to follow through.
4. Start Small, Then Build
Don’t go overboard by trying to stack too many habits at once. Start with one or two simple habits and see how they fit into your routine. Once you’ve mastered those, you can gradually add more habits to your stack. The key is to avoid overwhelm and build slowly over time.
5. Make It Enjoyable
You’ll be more likely to stick with your stacked habits if they bring you joy or fulfillment. For example, if you’re stacking a habit of reading, make sure it’s something that feels easy and enjoyable, like reading something you’ve been wanting to read or something that you know will help you. The more positive your habit feels, the more likely you are to continue.
6. Use Visual Cues
Sometimes, even the best habits can slip through the cracks if you’re not reminded of them. Use visual cues like sticky notes or apps that help track your progress. For example, if you’ve stacked a habit of doing 5 push-ups after brushing your teeth (I hate push-ups but this is just an example), you can leave a reminder on your bathroom mirror or set a reminder on your phone.
7. Celebrate Your Wins
Celebrating small wins is crucial to reinforcing your habits. Every time you complete your stacked habit, take a moment to acknowledge your success. This could be as simple as giving yourself a mental pat on the back or marking it off on a habit tracker.
Here are a few examples of habit stacks to get you started:
Anchor habit: Brushing my teeth
Stacked habit: After brushing my teeth, I’ll exfoliate with a lip scrub.
****
Anchor habit: Finishing a workout
Stacked habit: Immediately after finishing my workout, I’ll drink a glass of water and stretch for 5 minutes.
****
Anchor habit: Cooking dinner
Stacked habit: After cooking dinner, I’ll clean up my apartment for 10 minutes.
****
Anchor habit: Starting work
Stacked habit: As soon as I sit at my desk, I’ll write down three priorities for the day.

The Glam Life: daily routines for a polished life. 💋
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sunday: Reset & Reflect Start with a deep cleanse—face mask, detox tea, and a peaceful journal session. Reflect on the past week, set intentions for the next, and list three things you’re grateful for. This is your day to unwind, reset, and prep for success.
Monday: Fresh Blowout & Big Shades Start the week strong with a fresh blowout. Smooth, glossy, and ready to conquer. Pair with oversized sunglasses for that mysterious, empowered look. Bring an extra boost by planning a bold outfit that makes you feel invincible.
Tuesday: Brows & Browsing Shape your brows to perfection—it’s a small detail that makes a huge impact on your overall look. Afterward, treat yourself to a quick scroll through your favorite style inspiration, bookmarking anything that makes you feel iconic. Style starts with inspiration.
Wednesday: Mani & Diamond Shine Keep your nails sharp and sophisticated, opting for a classic French or deep red. Slip on a ring or two (or five). Hands tell a story, so make sure yours speak of elegance and confidence. Midweek is the perfect time to touch up on hydration, too—think hand creams and cuticle oils.
Thursday: Exfoliate & Hydrate Buff away the week’s worries with a luxe body scrub, followed by a rich, hydrating body lotion or oil. Glowing, smooth skin radiates confidence, so keep it moisturized and ready to be admired. Pair with a hydrating face mask to keep everything refreshed.
Friday: Glow Serum, Gloss, & Signature Scent Skip the self-tan and reach for a brightening glow serum instead. This will give your skin a fresh, natural radiance that looks effortlessly luminous. Follow with a glossy lip and your signature scent to add allure. Enter the weekend looking polished, radiant, and ready to take on any room with grace and confidence.
Saturday: Active Beauty & Leisure Today, beauty meets movement. Whether it’s a dance class, yoga, or a brisk walk, get active and enjoy the natural glow that follows. Afterward, embrace leisure: light a candle, sip on your favorite drink, and give yourself permission to relax with a facial roller or a nourishing hair mask. You deserve it.
Each day brings a fresh intention and a luxurious touch to keep you feeling powerful and radiant all week long. It's a full week of showing up as your best self—stylish, strong, and completely in your element.

The way to stand on business is to have hard rock values and hobbies. A lot of you suffer because you're pathetic little chameleons that learned to survive their childhood by blending in and masking (I'm looking STRAIGHT at the autistics and daughters of strict dads right now. 100% straight shots being taken) and have nothing to stand on PLUS you just- don't have a life. Of course you tolerate bs you have nothing to do all day. Some of us have jobs and horses to ride and paintings to make where will I get the time to be taking BS hun I have work to do? Bark at the void or something. You have all the time in the world so you are accessible enough for people to know they can simply just- cancel plans and your spineless wet tissue ass back will give in. If you are always available why would anyone prioritize you? Get a job and hobby so you also cancel plans and make them earn you like a woman with a working mind. Get busy.
Back to the main point- you can't stand on business because yu are nothing and have nothing to stand on. I'm not trying to degrade you- mind you- its just I kinda have no choice but to look down on you when you are on the floor. What am I even on rn?
Well. The first sign someone grew up middle class is lack of a spine and intense masking. The one thing the lower class and upper class have in common is the inability to give a fack. Lower class because they have nothing to lose & upper class because they are, in fact, better than you. In a capitalist society money is a marker of status = position don't even attempt moral police me. Elon Musk can say whatever bc wtf will you do? Tweet about it? The homeless will say whatever they want, too, because what will you do? Cancel him and make him lose the job he doesn't even have? What is the worst you can do and what makes you think he won't survive it. It's the middle class that's the breeding ground for snakes because they have a shit ton to lose and do not have enough resources to avoid the consequences of it. All the doormats and snakes and chameleons and wet tissues and untrustables are in the taxpaying bracket.
The first sign someone is elite is their level of idgafness. Not fur. Not that black American express. Not Patek Phillipe. IDGAFness. The princess and the pea absolute queen princess downright refusing to sleep on a bed with a pea is elitism. On tiktok they call it black cat energy. My way or no way. The way men know what to do with you isn't how much Chanel you're dripping in is how much you will not only not take bs but how willing you are to start sheet if you need to. Conflict avoidance is middle class behavior. I know this drop dead gorgeous reeeech man that's pining for the most average a little overweight by western standards (which are world's beauty standard, don't gaslight yourself) probably a solid 3 on a good day because the left him mid date after he said something she didn't like, blocked him on all platforms and went on another date with some other guy a week later. I have seen the women that chase after him but she's the prize. Doesn't give one single F. Last I heard he booked a helicopter and she just- didn't go. Tried the guilt tripping got blocked. Tried the talking sheet and she just- moved on and made him look like an idiot. When I say the man is piniiiiiiiiiiiing like there aren't magazine cover models that would throw it back in every angle. She is the elite one here because she just doesn't care. She stands on business. Queen behavior. 10/10, I'm also very in love with her and have officially joined the competition.
You can't be elite not because you're broke and ugly but because you can't stand on business because you don't have business to stand on. A lot of you just- aren't anyone so you become everyone. Chameleon behavior. Because you are afraid of conflict. A cat scratching you knowing full well you are what feeds it is elitism. Cookie Lyon (EMPIRE) is elitism. The I will burn this building down if i need to is elitism. And I don't mean randomly picking up fights 24/7 that's being ratchet, elite women are polite and well mannered. I mean standing on business. I mean sending the order back when it's not what you ordered. I mean just not paying your stylist when they don't do what you asked. I mean stating- clearly- where your boundaries are and not taking a single step back. I mean when a man tries isht with you downright calling them out on it loudly instead of trying to hash it down or laughing your way out of it. I mean not trying to buy approval by self sacrifice. I mean letting that one coworker know actually no I will not be doing that because it's your job not mine. I mean not answering any work related calls on your day off. I mean taking all your paid leaves. I mean shaming back the people that shame you as loudly as they are trying to shame you- probably more. I mean crossing every line the second one of yours is crossed. elitism. Standing on business. Boundaries. Whis is where you end and I begin, you cross this I cross you.

In case you were having a good day I'd like to remind you some of us are actually living your dream life. It's not an Instagram aesthetic some of us are really doing seven figures a year after taxes and being extremely pretty and being chased and pursued by the men you pray and manifest about and really do spend our summers in yachts and have run out of pages in our passport and graduate top of our class first class honors for double bachelors and had the net worth you vision board about by the time we were twenty three and just have really really great skin and tits its a thing that happens. Like for some of us it's not a dream. Think about this next time you're scrolling with a seven hour screen time record. And we are competing for the same things. Good Luck, Babe.

FINANCE 102 (?). EVERYTHING I HAVE DONE TO MAKE THIS MUCH IN ONLY A YEAR IN PASSIVE INCOME
& this time I even brought receipts.
Apart from the not even subtle flex, this year has easily been one of my most successful financial years yet. When I say passive income we are not counting investment returns (that financial statement isn't out yet and does not matter, it's automatically reinvested. Not even for flexing purposes, there are a few things I need you to understand about me and these numbers:
First, none of this is salary. I work a medium wage job that pays in four figures monthly. It also does not include other income sources that require my involvement. Passive is the key term.
Second, apart from right at the start, I've had no personal involvement in any of these sources. None. Not even calls or texts or emails, fully automated.
Third, it is all tax free. It all belongs to me. One of them is after tax but the rest are 100% what I've made.
These are three completely different streams, and these are between November last year to date. One year.
No it's easy or simple or fast.
(sidenote) I take my financial statements in Nov and plan for the new year bc i don't count dec as even part of a productive year.
My passive income (including investments) is my largest source of income and will always be.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(because I will always bring the receipts)
I am no financial guru so I can not directly give you financial education, but I can tell you what I do and if you get it, good for you.
Soo then, steps I've taken to be able to get to this financial position at 24 (I turn 25 next month btw;) ) from, well, since as far back as I can remember. It's a process.
-> First, Investing heavily in financial education. What has this looked like for me?
I've probably gone to 30+ finance seminars and workshops centered around investment, asset management and wealth distribution. I went to my first at 19 and last in March. If i have to pay I will. If i need to skip town, I will. I go, i listen, I ask questions, I make connections. I make a plan of what I want to learn and focus on that, not haphazardly consuming content as long as it's finance related.
Finance bros (is a gender-neutral term pls). It is a finance bro that told me to buy my first ecommerce business before covid hit. It was a finance bro that got me to buy the business that has made me the last screenshot for less that 10k. It was a finance bro that taught me to work low wage and make my bank in assets so I don't overpay in tax. It was my finance bros to teach me what to invest where and how to keep my banks offshore and to set up my trust fund (plus law girlies ofc mwah) and get my LLC. Finance bros save lives. I'm not good with money. I have people that are good with money.
-> Second, i tied up my loose ends early enough. Loose ends? Yes, the financial vampires that had no return on investment.
First is societal obligation aka giving back to the community. Wrapped that up in mentorship and volunteering (a lot because I'm not giving my money to people that have more than me that's wild.
Second- my family. Shout out and huge fat thank you to my extended family for being extremely sh!tty openly to me and my nuclear family when we were younger so absolutely no one faults me for cutting them off amen. For my nuclear family it is kind of obvious whoever is the most financially advanced provides for the family and that's fine if it means a set amount every month not calling me whenever you want some baby shower or whatever. Loose end. Set up investment accounts for each of them and invested monthly up from my third year of high school to second year of uni (Three- four years) while teaching them how to make money work for you then just- pulled back. No one can say I abandoned them and every four months if I want to instead of sending money home I send it to their accounts. Tied up that loose end bc they can reaally reallllly bankrupt you if you're not careful.
-> third, always focusing on the ROI and what is important to me. If it does not have a higher return on investment what do I even need it for? What does this mean?
It means befriending the kids at Fashion and textile faculty in uni and having them teach me how to work clothes and make up into my body and into achieving the lifestyle i want through them and then finding my ROI.
Having my eyeliner tattooed for <50$ in my home country so I don't need to buy eyeliner and reapply every ten minutes. It means getting my bags made for <50 each in my home country too instead of buying a high quality bag for God knows how much in my Country of residence.
It means buying stocks not bags and dresses because one appreciates and the other depreciates and dresses are not important to me.
It means perfecting my thrift game because i value quality, not price tags.
It means moving to a higher end area although rent is higher because the security, the gym, the people, the amenities, all things that are of value to me.
It means investing in things that I know will give me a high return in investment and using my money to buy value, not things. Before I even touch my money for purchase I am already calculating its value vs my value system vs return on investment.
-> Fourth, Building discipline. I have invested the MOST in this area. I can not even stress this enough - discipline is the highest value skill you can ever learn. According to google discipline is "the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience". And that is exactly how I did it, used punishment to correct myself.First, deciding the rules and code of behavior I wanted to follow. Second, making myself follow it using the nacient learning method, reward and punishment- where reward is normalcy and punishment is just :).
In high school, running for double captainship because that would force me to work and work hard. The pressure of the expectations just one captainship demanded was hell, make that two plus having to keep my scholarship and yeah. One wrong move and I'd be stripped of them both, and that forced me to never make mistakes. And it was really, really hard to not make mistakes.
Knowing my ADHD brain has an extremely hard time being consistent, I learned pretty early I need external help to keep myself in check. Realized that help has to come from someone I respected after trying to make it work with friends and failing. My first mentor cost me a good 5000$ every month (not so high it would paralyze me but high enough i felt the pressure) and when I slipped up i owed them 500$ on the floor. Missed something on my to do list with no good excuse? 500$. Failed my exams? Ate junk? Bought something without considering the ROI? Did not reach my health goals ? 500$. On the spot. No stories no argument no nothing. You mess up six times and the seventh you just automatically cry even before you think of messing up because damn. Reward and punishment. After a while (One year to be exact) it gets so deeply programmed its part of my ADHD.
Accountability partners. Exclusive. High functioning. A pretty 1200$ every month but I don't mind, it's worth it. Extremely high ROI.
-> Heavily investing in myself because I will always give myself the highest ROI.
Blood checks every quarterly because my health is everything. (Chinese herbalists, extremely cheap).
Educating myself heavily in all the fields that are important to me. Communicaton. Languages (Learning my tenth if we count sign language as a language and eleventh if we count braille). Gut health (Filthily educated in this bad boy. PHD level). Psychology and human behavior. Using fashion, beauty and styling to work for me. Violin. Equestrian. Everything I like. Double bachelors and a weird number of accredited certifications.
Therapy. I'm no longer in therapy but this was probably the best thing I ever did. Worth every dime. Went through six therapists until i found my stoic reality-based gem that was not trying to make me feel better but get better and survive the world as is.
My social life and friendships. Not even for social climbing, more for having friends and building my community and tribe. I'm not a lone wolf or sigma I'm a social person that's also part of a social species. Pouring into my friendships and networks has had a super impressive ROI and has been worth the trouble.
My reputation and social / public image. Nothing I guard harder than this, not even my money. I am not an idgafer i will never be. A good name is better than riches. I actually care what people say about me and carefully manipulate them into saying what I want.
Skill amassing especially in areas in consider essential. Home keeping. Sewing. Personal finance. Health and nutrition. Social skills. IT. Music. &c &c.
(will probably add as I remember. will also probably delete there's something really cringy about bringing receipts)

how to level up during the winter arc
winter arc ; oct to jan
1. build a strong routine - examples: wake up immediately and journal, don't scroll in the morning, meditate, drink 1 glass of water
2. create realistic goals - be more practical. when we set big goals and they don't happen we brush them off and say 'i'll just do it next week' hence delaying action
3. visualize - visualize how the highest person of yourself looks like
4. be consistent - wake up at the same time, be consistent, and don't scroll when you wake up, just take action everyday ! things don't just happen overnight
5. habit stacking - habit stacking follows a simple formula of "when i do [current habit], i will do [new habit]." for example: "when i drink my coffee in the morning, i will listen to an educational podcast."
6. use habit trackers/to-do lists
7. don't give up when your day isn't perfect - be flexible and understand that not everything has to be checked off, life happens
8. don't go through hardcore restrictions - since it's festival season, there are chances that you might not be able tick off some habits but that's okay !
9. listen to your body - do what you feel is best for you, don't beat yourself up if you aren't able to do something
Tumblr media
let go of the feelings you've had in the past year, "i wish i did this" blah blah. don't beat yourself over it. just move forward. why keep waiting for tomorrow when you can start today? show up for yourself. why do i want to achieve this goal? it has to be for you.
just. start. now.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
goddess energy isn’t just a trend; it’s a lifestyle, babe. here’s how to channel that confidence from the inside out:
❥ mirror talk: look at yourself dead in the eyes every morning and say, “if i were any more fabulous, it would be illegal.” repeat until it sticks.
❥ move your body in a way that feels sexy and freeing — whether it’s a sultry stretch, a little dance break, or a pilates sesh.
❥ invest in self-care moments that feel indulgent: a rose-infused bath, a hair mask that makes your tresses feel like silk, and journaling with a glass of sparkling water.
❥ perfect the power strut — shoulders back, head high, hips swaying like you own the sidewalk. because you do.
❥ gatekeep your peace: practice saying “no when something doesn’t align with your vibe. your energy is expensive, don’t waste it.
