<3 log 1;
there aren’t many instances of where a song evokes a visceral reaction out of the listener. one they could truly say to be a transcendent experience without the presence of drugs. a song where you feel so deeply in your bones and psyche, it’s as though you were invited to transport into its very own universe and be left to your own devices to explore .
this is the song that just does it for mee~
electro world by perfume has the perfect ingredients for it to be a happy song. with beautifully layered techno melodic vocals fading and echoing in and out mixed with this atmospheric drum and bass so consistently orgasmic, you're pulled into a different dimension just in the first 5 seconds of hearing it. it’s as though the hypnotic vocals are there to guide you from gaia into a space of wonder. but despite all that and its up-beat tempo— i can't help but feel like there's this lingering feeling of a certain sadness as you fully immerse yourself into this new world. it brings out something you weren’t aware of existing deep inside to the forefront and forces you to confront this sugar-ache feeling. longing for the things i will never get to experience, i yearn for something magical and out of this world. it's the everlasting sparkly magic you were promised as a kid, and i am struck with sentimentality. being too ambitious in this other dimension i am engulfed by the void and this feeling of un-whole-ness like a blank space right in the middle of a sated canvas grows ever bigger. tainted with my tears. this song is like a visualizer. “electro world” is a context i can insert myself in.
