it genuinely makes me sad and kinda upset when someone purges all their old art off the internet like. barring harmful content what if someone liked that. What if someone would have. And now nobody will ever know and it's just gone. even people's old invader zim askblogs or whatever getting deleted feels like a micro alexandria to me and that's just something I made up. I wasn't even thinking of a specific one it just stresses me out. Is this the autism I don't get why nobody else seems to freak internally abt it like I do. I see artists whose blogs I've never even looked at go like "man so glad I deleted all my old stuff it's so clean" or saying they throw out art from when they were kids I'm like. how are you not hurling. How is that not distressing that is literally your tree rings why would you do that. I want to see what's out there. people want to see it I promise someone out there likes it

...don't they??? Does everyone get quietly irrationally upset by this as me, or is this just hyperfixation/autism/some amalgam of the two. I'm not a hoarder or obsessive compulsive or anything like that so i wonder..

Is this just me or is everyone experiencing this? Anyways, this is something I think needs to be addressed.

Porn bots keep showing up under Madness Combat and Madcom tags along with other fandoms. These are NOT links to rule34 art, these links are to actual PORN. At first the posts were seldom and images show with the links were not that bad. But now these bots are more common and worse of all, the images are uncensored. These images that come with the links, are female porn. If these links come with images that are NSFW, the post should be treated as NSFW and it's content should not be viewable unless a user clicks on or opens the post. Additionally, porn bots should not be allowed to post under fandoms or unrelated tags. This sort of content is not related to Madness Combat and these other fandoms in any way shape or form. It's a common fact, that popular fandoms, tend to have lots of fans that are minors. No one, minor nor adult, should be exposed to this sort of content without consent or being made aware of it first.

This has nothing to do with users that have NSFW [side] blogs and or NSFW content outside of Tumblr. They usually do a good job of keeping their content discrete and AWAY from public view, or where minors can see it . Guests or people without accounts are not permitted access to their blogs, and their links are properly labeled, not being paired with any kind of lewd imagery.

While I don't look at NSFW content, I understand that others do. We, not just the fandom communities, but the entire platform, have to work together on this, making sure to address and flag/report bots that spam lewd content, while at the same time, protect legitimate users and creators. We can't let Tumblr experience another "purge". It's important that Tumblr recognizes what is actually going on the platform, so they can have stricter guidelines and put measures in place to prevent this from happening again, rather than outright banning this sort of content entirely.

I'm not sure how long it will take until Tumblr notices and tries to fix the problem, but in the meantime, please report AND block any porn bot accounts you see. The more reports these bots get, the more likely they are to be terminated or get taken down. Once reported, block these accounts to hide them from view. If you uncover any new information regarding this, please share your findings under the "justice for fandoms" tag. Make sure to reblog this post as well. Spread the word!
