Has anyone find it interesting about the Malfoy family in Halfblood Prince? The abnormality and the depression of the house was so intriguing with Lucius in prison and Draco was given a adult mission and get signed by the Dark Lord, and Narcissa was frankly messed with all this.

I just cant help wondering the obvious fragile mental state of the Malfoys and the hidden plots around them behind the book. What if we just the story happen again? What if we just let it happen freely and see what those broken people will do under such a circumstance?

Actually I have written something and posted it in AO3. The title is Lost, I think it can best describe the state of people in Malfoy Manor at that time. The following is the first paragraph of it:

Green flames are burning, green flames are burning. Through the desolate wilderness, houses are crumbling, babies wailing, thick clouds churning. Walking, walking, faces shrouded in a pearly mist. Who looks hurried, hurried, and who is whispering to whom? Mother, Earth, merciful gods, can you hear those prayers? Does the lost lamb find its way back? Is the spilled water gathered again? London Bridge is falling down, falling down. please save me! Please save me! Please save me!

I am trying to make it more literature. I haven't thought about the romance plots yet since it will not be the most important part of this story. But something may happen between Draco Malfoy and Harry potter, or someone else, since I think it is normal for people to develop some abnormal relationship under mental pressure.

They may act quit madly. There will be illusions. Don't trust everything you read. And have fun!
