Exhausted from spending half the day searching the surrounding area for supplies and turning up empty handed in the end, Cameron had decided to take a break to find sanctuary in the forest trees so she could rest her head. She had wanted to still keep going long enough to pick up where she left off on finding her brother afterwards, but couldn’t fight against the ache in her legs and feet any longer. After a quick listen to make sure the area was devoid of any sign of movement, dead or alive, she climbed the first tree she saw that was a safe distance from the ground and tried to find a comfortable position that would also prevent her from falling over in her sleep.
Now that she was hidden in the safety of the leaves, knowing that they made her difficult to be spotted unless someone or something had excellent eyesight, Cameron finally closed her eyes without the fear of leaving herself vulnerable to an attack. She had hoped to get a couple hours of sleep before the sun began to set, but that was until the sound of footsteps interrupted her and instantly put her back on high alert. Quickly but quietly, Cameron pulled out her gun and carefully turned to scour her surroundings in search of where the sound had come from when she saw the figure of what looked like a human within shooting distance. “Don’t come any closer or I’ll shoot!” She warned, peeking through and holding her gun in-between the gap of the tree’s branches.

( alycia debnam-carey. 23. she/her. ) we spotted CAMERON MILLER in the wilds today, just another gear in the machine of the apocalypse. i heard she chose to go ROGUE for the end of the world. i guess it fits, seeing as she’s known to be + independent & + resourceful, as well as - blunt & - sarcastic. they often have the world outside by eyes set to kill stuck in their head while they hunt. i wonder if they’re prepared for what’s coming ?
- Cameron hasn’t always been on her own. She was with her family when the apocalypse first happened, but the virus quickly took her mother and she was forced to kill her father a few weeks later when he was going to trade her and her younger brother to a group of criminals for supplies. From then on, it was just the two of them before they got separated by a group of infected almost a year ago now and left her by herself, but she hasn’t stopped looking for him since.
- Despite knowing that there are camps where she can have a permanent place to lay her head and food that’s within reach, Cameron actually prefers being on the outside and searching for whatever she needs to survive. She loves to challenge herself when she’s out there to push past her limits and figure out how much longer she can survive on her own. Because of this, she never stays in one place for too long unless she absolutely has to and prefers to keep on the move because she thinks it prevents her from getting too comfortable or becoming an easy target for dangerous people.
- Cameron is merciless when it comes to her enemies and will kill them without batting an eye or losing sleep at night. At one point she would’ve felt deeply horrified at the thought of taking a life, but has grown accustomed to doing it from all the time she’s spent on the road. Now, it only brings her comfort to know that she has ended the life of someone who would’ve done the same to her.
- While she prefers her own company and makes every attempt to avoid strangers, that doesn’t mean she won’t help someone if she sees that they’re in need of it. If it doesn’t put her in harm’s way then she’s more than willing to lend a hand, but she won’t stick around long enough to make a friend and will continue on her way once she’s done.
- She knows that it’s absolutely insane, but she doesn’t mind being around the dead and feels safer with them than with most humans. However, Cameron’s well aware that they’re dangerous and she doesn’t go out of her way to seek them out. She just feels that the dead are truer to their nature and more predictable than humans are. Since all they can do is kill her, she feels that’s a kinder fate than what humans do to each other.
- Cameron’s extremely independent and really doesn’t like asking other people for help. While she’ll do it if she absolutely has to as she knows not everything can be done by herself, most times she prefers to deal with whatever she has a problem with on her own.
- She has a tendency to be blunt and finds sugar coating the truth to be disrespectful as well as insulting. She prefers to be brutally honest to others and hopes they do the same since she believes honesty is the best policy. However, she doesn’t do this to hurt others, it’s only because she hasn’t socialized in awhile and has grown used to saying the first thing that comes to her mind when she comes across people. If its someone who miraculously befriended her or someone who has treated her with kindness, then she’ll have no problem apologizing.
WANTED CONNECTIONS
- Her little brother - An ex-girlfriend she hasn’t seen since before the apocalypse - Someone patient enough to befriend her
