@horoffic continued from here
There’s a few moments where Bunji has to debate whether or not avoiding wasting a cigarette is worth listening to someone screeching in his ear for however long this cab ride ends up being. Ultimately, he ends up flicking it out the window. It’s annoying, but not as annoying as he suspects this woman can get.
“Fuck you,” Bunji scoffs, “I’m only 36, I ain’t a grandpa.” Probably. Does the time that passes when you’re dead count, or do you have to start subtracting that from your age. How long was he dead for anyway? Maybe you just stay however old you were when you died. With SEED shit, anything’s possible.
“I know you’re sure as hell not young enough to call me grandpa if you’re out this late in an area like this.”

Back in his world, Bunji wasn’t a particularly heavy drinker. Back when Brandon was alive, he would get a drink with the boys on occasion, but he always preferred to keep his wits about him. Just in case a job came in that he needed to be alert for. In this world, though? There was no Millennion or Corsione Family. He could afford to imbibe.
As he’s perusing the selection, Bunji’s startled by a poke on his shoulder. He gasps a little, and puts a hand to his chest as he looks to see who was trying to get his attention. “Jesus. Someone needs to put a bell on ya,” He breathes.
“What d’ya want?” Bunji asks, before processing what the woman said. “Yeah, yeah. Sure,” He continues, reaching up to grab the pack for her. “Can’t say I’m a saint, but it’s no skin off my back.”
The cons of being short usually shoved themself in Kikuri's face the moment anything she couldn't grab right out of her reach. In this case it was a pack of booze and climbing up seemed like a pretty poor choice. Thankfully there was someone who wasn't barely hitting hitting 5ft next to her, someone she poked quickly before pointing up towards to what she needed.
"You wouldn't mind being a saint and helping me get the pack off the top shelf right?"

MILLENNIONWOLF | Kugashira Bunji from Gungrave Affiliated with Isola Radiale, written by Beetle
[ Application ] [ Stats ] [ Rules ]
Other Blogs: Choso, Millions Knives
Millennion: A criminal organization similar to the mafia that operated within Billion City. They were formerly known as the Syndicate and controlled most of the city. It was founded by Caldwell Asagi, better known as Big Daddy.
SEED: A versatile drug created from an alien entity that can have varying effects depending on how pure or diluted it is. At it's most diluted it's as dangerous as any street drug, but at it's most pure it can mutate humans into creatures known as Orgmen.
Orgmen: Those mutated by SEED. They come in various forms, but they're almost all disfigured humanoids with pure white skin and red eyes. They act like zombies, but possesses immense power and speed. Killing them with conventional weapons is impossible.
Superior: An Orgman that retains their sense of self. They're able to go about their day looking like any other human, but possess the same strengths as Orgmen and the ability to transform into monstrous forms.
Deadman: Reanimated corpses created through a process called necrolyzation. The process effects every individual differently and the exact process is unknown. Some lose their memories through the process, others don't. Regardless, their strength rivals, if not surpasses, the strength of Orgmen and Superiors.
Bunji was a former hit man who was recruited to Millennion by Harry MacDowell and Brandon Heat after he was sent on a hit to take them out. Through Millennion, Brandon, and Harry, Bunji found a sense of purpose and family he'd never felt before.
When Brandon "betrayed" the organization, something broke in Bunji. He became colder, harsher, and more blood thirsty earning himself the nickname The Wolf in the process.
Became a Superior after Brandon returned as Beyond the Grave to seek vengeance on Harry MacDowell. Bunji did his duty and defended Millennion, but was killed by Grave in the process.
Resurrected as a Deadman by the Corsione Family to act as their sweeper. He faced off against Grave again and again he fell at the hand of his former mentor.

It's weird to assume, right? That there could be more than one person in this city with the same taste in looks as himself and that they'd just cross each other's paths. But, damn if the kid doesn't look familiar. Younger by a long shot, but familiar all the same.
"Hey!" Bunji barks, with very little respect for baby-faced juniors. "I don't know you do I?"
@punishercross liked for a starter!

"You're a lifesaver," Bunji says. The sentiment doesn't quite reach his face, but it's clear from his gruff and subued tone that it's less because he doesn't mean it and more because he's not the type for pleasantries.
As he leans in for the light, Bunji gets a better look at the other guy. Looking up at him over his sunglasses, something doesn't feel right. The man feels familiar and for some reason it brings to mind Jyuji. The corners of his mouth twitch slightly and his brows almost furrow, but Bunji is quick to cover it as he pulls away to take a drag and slowly exhale the smoke before answering.
"Could go either way," Bunji shrugs, glancing over at the man before deciding he'd rather look anywhere else. "Might've forgotten it or I might've lost it before I got here. Not really sure how dyin' and wakin' up in some fantasy land works."
Another glance at the other man, another weird twist in his gut. He's going to have to do something about that. "Bunji Kugashira," He says, shoving a hand in the man's direction. Maybe if he gets a name it'll ring a bell.
It's a familiar sight, and also a position he's found himself in numerous times— a cigarette in his mouth, but nothing to light it with, patting himself down and having zero success in his hunt for a lighter. It's why he carries matches now, too, and he's pretty fucked if those also end up going missing.
Wolfwood probably would've offered him a light even if he didn't ask. He pushes himself off the outside wall of the convenience store he'd been leaning on to take some weight off of his injured leg and digs into his pocket to fish out his lighter.
"Yeah." And he flips it open, extends it towards the stranger, and lights his cigarette for him. "Forgot yer lighter? Or you just show up here without it?"
#THR01: punisheye#punisheye#something about a guy with a southern drawl talking to a guy with a new york gangster voice is so amusing to me

"Oh, yeah, the perks," Bunji scoffs. Yeah, sure. He has a roof over his head, a bed to sleep in, and easy access to food, but they have that in jail, too. At least he had the job to keep him busy back home. Doesn't seem like there's a big market for sweepers here. Which makes Bunji functionally useless.
"I'll believe it, when I see it. Right now it ain't nothin', but a pretty jail cell."
"Same here." Livio shrugs one shoulder as though he didn't have many long nights of his head in his hands going what the fuKC WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK!!!! sometimes audibly.
Sometimes he still has those nights.
"Can't say you'll get used to it. But the perks are pretty nice."

That doesn't bode well. Bunji scrunches his face a little at the name comment, and pulls out a pack of cigarettes to take one out. "Not a lot of Kugashiras in the world," he says, pausing to light his cigarette and take a long drag from it. "My world, I should say," he adds with a heavy sigh, exhaling smoke as he does. "This other world bullshit's new to me."
God, please don't let them have ever cloned any of them where he's from...Please, lord, for once listen to him...
But Livio laughs.
"Even the name's a little similar...my name's Livio. Sorry again, for the staring. Didn't mean any offense."

"Well, you don't look like anyone I know. Think I'd remember a mug like yours. Unless they've started clonin' me, you've got the wrong guy." Bunji pauses, then shrugs a little. "Bunji Kugashira's the name, but some folks have taken to callin' me the Wolf."
Livio has definitely been staring at Bunji, squinting at him befuddled-like before he speaks up.
He jolts--
"Uh-- sorry, I'm-- my bad, you just look like someone I know."
