incredibly endeared by f/os who don't know how to comfort you. they don't know what to do when you come apart in front of them, shaking, starting to sob as the weight of your woes finally bears down on you.

they know what they're meant to do. they're meant to hold you, and kiss you, tell you it's going to be okay and make it real. they're meant to let you sob into their chest or their shoulder, feeling your arms around them as you let their words soothe you until you can smile again.

...but that's not who they are, it's not what they do- do they even know how? do they know where to put their hands when they go to embrace you? do the words come to them naturally or are they floundering for something, anything they heard from a poet or a story that made it sound so easy.

instead they're left standing, hoping desperately you can feel how badly they want to take your pain from you. then following you down when you fall, kneeling besides your shaking form. they reach out slowly, hesitently, rubbing your back or resting their hand comfortingly on your head.

their voice is rough when they speak, almost awkward - it's- it's alright. - scooting closer on their knees, huddling closer to you so even if they're not holding you you can feel them. i'm here.

and they are, and maybe that's enough. 💖

i'm aware of how childish this is but i wish my f/o wasn't the most popular character in the fandom. everyone thinks people who like him are just basic bitches but i genuinely love him with my whole heart. i'm usually not this possesive of characters but i wish he was just mine and no one else's. i don't want other people to like him.

the struggle of loving your f/o but hating the fandom. the people there make me feel so unsafe and uncomfortable and i hate the fact that they like the same thing as me, i don't feel safe shipping myself with my darling because of them.

hey idk if this is like a controversial take or if im weird for saying this but

as a nonsharing selfshipper, we shouldn’t say to doubles that they’re not our f/o’s partner. we know how much it hurts to be told that we aren’t our f/o’s partner, either by jealousy though seeing canon x canon ships, or being told it to our face by people who don’t selfship. but this doesn’t mean we should do that to doubles.

i was scrolling and i saw someone say along the lines of, “if you are __ f/o, you’re not.” and this was a character that was seemingly very popular within the fandom. this is hurtful and we all know this, and we shouldn’t explicitly tell them that they are not and you are. this is so mean. i don’t think i should have to say this part but if you were in their shoes how would you feel?

i don’t know it just bugged me ever since i saw that post and I just wanted to say that we should be more kind with our words towards doubles so they don’t feel invalidated either

also im not saying u can’t be nonsharing. im nonsharing with one of my f/os i just want to encourage people to be kinder
