reading the wiki page for recently extinct languages, and if the terminal speaker for each language is known, theyre listed. and goddamn. this is so sad. theyre almost all exclusively indigenous or aboriginal, definitely all minority ethnic groups, and like. a language and a culture essentially died with them. so many of them spent their lives trying to document and revive their languages :(
