Don’t expect too much about story depth and romantic relationship because I think the manga is more into comedic. A fun, easy, and light read.

o5. Impression:
The ending of each stories is very predictable. We will already know who the MC will ended up with. Despite the fact, the mangaka gives us a unique story’s theme. Teddy bear, soccer, basketball, and supernatural all in one book. I think this is very fun. Another thing is the MC can be categorized as strong which is very interesting to follow. Overall the manga is okay. I like it.

o1. Title:
Sora ni Koishite Goran (Indo ver.: Look! Love in the Sky) by Akabane Michie
o2. Synopsis:
Maki, an 18 year-old girl, dreams to be a carpenter. She wants to build her own house one day. After her parent died, she lives with the Motohari. Motohari family is her father’s friend whom also works as a carpenter just like her father was. Thus, she begins her days with various excitements–from laughing together to love matters with Motohari’s only son, Seiya, who also her childhood friend.
o3. Impression:
The manga consists of 4 chapters: Church for Us, Under the Blue Sky, Maki’s House, and But, I Love You (additional story). The first chapter tells about Maki falls in love with her neighbour, Yuichi, whom works as a doctor in the hospital. She begins to like the doctor when he tries to make a bird house (which in the end fails). So Maki helps the doctor to build one since she’s very skilled.
Maki is surprised by the truth that the doctor is already has a fiance whom has been hospitalized due to illness. The fiance refuses to accept the bird house because she thought that a nest (bird house) without a bird is useless. The fiance is just sad because she can’t be together with Yuichi. Despite the harsh truth, Maki once again build another bird house. This time there are two bird statues inside it. When she gives it to Yuichi, she hopes that the house can become the nest of their (Yuichi and his fiance) true love symbolically. She thought that although two people separated but as long as their hearts are one, love will always be there.
I especially love the first chapter because it has bitter-sweet end. The other two chapters will tells about love and dream conflicts between Maki and Seiya. As for the additional story is about a girl who can’t tell her true feeling to the boy that she likes. Overall, the manga is okay. I like how the Motohari family verryyy kind towards Maki. Well, imho, the ending is a little bit disappointing because if I were Maki I wouldn’t decided like that. But, since she has a family background like that (her parents died and she has to moved to Motohari), at that moment, it’s natural.

Finally finished reading Genius Family Company. It was weird and funny. And most importantly, wish one day I had family members like Sousuke and Haru. :D
At first, I reluctantly read the comic. I thought it was going to be boring family drama story. I was wrong. From having new bizarre family members (and their friends), company’s scandal and politics, mafia, until building your dreams again. The romance is also a bit unusual? But, I love it. Well, it succeeded kept me reading it in only 3 days (my siblings finished it in only a day).
My concerns are those ingredients are kinda hit and miss for me. In the beginning, it tells about school, romance, and silly yet fun side of Sousuke and Haru. Then, it stirs into a different ways. I thought it was going to turn a mess, but the more I read it, the more everything placed in where they belong. Although I thought there were gonna have more complex plot, especially about Yano + his friends, and Sousuke and Haru. I expected something that make me gonna say, “I knew it!” Or “OMG! I didn’t expect that.” The plot actually has a lot of potential, but it just doesn’t nail it. Something is missing.
Things that I get from the story are there is no such things as coincidence. Know when to get help from someone or friends. In the end, you can’t do everything alone.
Score: 7.5
