Last weekend I had a wonderful time performing down in Somerset for Fanny Hatstand alongside my wonderful band consisting of Adam Beattie and Michael Paul Metcalfe... as well as a trad collaboration with the brilliant Aneta Dortová... and also getting to collaborate with Joseph Trudgeon, Matt Webb, Barney Rockford & Greg Sterland. Fellow Reverists, Tomorrow night, 11th October, at St. Mary Magdalene church in Paddington, LONDON, we’ll be launching the @bandofburns new album ‘The Thread’ with the help of our hosts @nestfolk . At the weekend we performed at the beautiful and thought-provoking Cranborne Earth house at the Centre for Ancient technology, in Dorset, for Jaminaround. It was as an evening to remember and up there with the best of our performances. I sang “Slave’s Lament”, “My father was a farmer”, “Parcel of Rogues”, “the Dusty Miller” and “the Hermit” as well as a wealth of fiddle tunes including my own “Red Jura” and “Coleman’s Fireproof Depository”.
