Nightsilver headcanons
Peter holds onto little things that remind him of good times—a receipt from a diner he and Kurt went to, a guitar pick from a concert, a broken piece of tech Hank let him fiddle with. He pretends he’s not sentimental, but his room has hidden keepsakes all over it.
Though he doesn’t use humour as a defence mechanism like Peter often does, Kurt is actually quite funny when he wants to be. His humour is dry and sharp, often making others burst into laughter when they least expect it.
Kurt loves sketching. His room is full of little doodles and drawings—landscapes, people, his teammates. It’s his way of relaxing after missions. Peter likes to sneak in and grab the sketches, teasing him, “Oh, who’s this handsome guy?” when he finds a drawing of himself.
On missions, they work like a well-oiled machine. If Peter rushes into danger, Kurt is always one step behind, teleporting in to support him, and vice versa. They trust each other’s instincts completely, knowing when to step in and when to let the other shine.
Their banter is inherently flirtatious, and it’s obvious to the rest of the team long before they even realise it themselves.
Peter listens to music almost constantly. He’s got a playlist for everything—missions, training, hanging out, and even one for Kurt that’s filled with soft, slower tracks.
Kurt is the only one who can get Peter to actually sit still for longer than five minutes. Whether it’s listening to Kurt read or just spending time together, Kurt’s presence gives Peter something to focus on that doesn’t require speed or adrenaline.
Kurt tends to carry a lot of guilt and worry for the people he cares about. If someone gets hurt, especially Peter, he takes it personally, thinking he should’ve done more. He prays for the safety of his friends before every mission.
For someone who’s constantly moving, Peter craves touch in a subtle way. He won’t admit it, but physical affection—like a pat on the back or a casual arm around his shoulder—grounds him. His powers make him feel disconnected from the world, but when someone touches him, it reminds him that he’s still present.
Peter has a hard time letting people in emotionally. He uses sarcasm and bravado to deflect, but deep down, he’s much more sensitive than he lets on. He feels everything intensely—he’s just not great at processing it in real-time, so it often comes out in unexpected bursts.
Their banter works because Peter’s relentless energy is balanced by Kurt’s calm and steady nature, and when Kurt does tease, it has an almost unexpected bite that Peter secretly loves.

I was watching the 'behind the scenes' video of Dark Phoenix and can someone please explain to me why Kurt and Peter look like boyfriends who just had a discussion?
