Here's the updated gameplay trailer in HD, captured on Xbox One. If you look close, you'll see railings have been added to some cliff edges. Why? Because we care about your safety. How many games can say that?
BTW: We hope to have details on the Skyling Xbox One release date in the near future.

Fan Art!
OMG! OMG! OMG! I just received the first official piece of Fan Art from none other than @OIDyre from coffeedaydreams.tumblr.com!!!
Truthfully speaking, It’s art I requested. Maybe even begged for a little. Even so, since I'm such a huge fan of Dyre I'm comfortable calling it Fan Art. :) See what I did there?
Huge thanks to Dyre for sending me such an awesome piece. You are the best.
Wanna see more Fan Art for Skyling? Pick up a pencil and draw some, lazy bones! Then send it to us. See how easy that is?

Power of Play recap
Skyling had a small presence at the PowerOfPlay expo this past weekend. Over 50 local indie teams from the Pacific Northwest gathered in Bellevue, WA (just outside Seattle) for some lectures, camaraderie and to try out each others games.
It was a great experience. I received a ton of feedback on Skyling and plenty of advice on how to promote it. Plus, meeting other game devs in the area and sharing experiences is always a treat. Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for an indie team and I highly recommend it.
The Mini Arcade version of Skyling was a big hit, but players also tried out the Ouya and Windows Surface versions. You learn so much by watching others play your game. Look for some new tweaks to Skyling based on what we observed at the show coming soon!

Play Skyling at PAX and SIX!
Two big news items this week!
First, we heard from the great folks at OUYA that they will be showing Skyling: Garden Defense at their booth in the Penny Arcade Expo! I'm not sure what days or times they'll be showing it yet, but I'll pass that info along when I get it. If you are headed to PAX, be sure to stop by their booth and play!
Second, Skyling will also be on display at the Seattle Indie Expo on September 1st (the last day of PAX) from 10AM to 6PM. SIX is just a few short blocks away from PAX this year, and will have over 25 more great games for you to check out. It's 100% free, and you don't need a PAX ticket to attend. Just walk in, say hello, and check out Skyling along with all the other great local games. http://six.seattleindi.es/
Be sure to follow us on twitter @Mighty_Studios for the latest info on Skyling's appearance at both PAX and SIX!

Ah, that feels much better!
The new control scheme is in place and making its way through certification of the various app stores Skyling: Garden Defense is sold in. Keep an eye out for an update in the store your prefer. PC users on Itch.io may need to download the game again.
So what's new? Here's a quick synopsis:
1. Increased sensitivity across the board. All inputs are now more responsive.
2. Easier to turn and drop a cat. Getting a cat placed where you want is important to the game. Especially in the later levels. Often, trying to turn around in place would cause bloom to walk one square in the new direction. Now, while holding a cat over your head it's easier to turn in pace with a quick button tap without walking in the new direction.
3. Touchscreen buttons are now on by default. Skyling has always allowed for touchscreen users to play with or without on-screen buttons. Feedback suggested that the button-free control scheme was too difficult to master, so it is no longer the default. If you still prefer to play that way you can always change the controls in the options menu.
4. Improved support for analog joysticks. For systems that support joysticks, they should now be far better and controlling Bloom's movement through the garden maze.
5. Buttery-smooth corners. Anyone who has ever made a maze game will tell you, getting corners feeling right is essential. To hard, and you may miss a turn if you press the button just a frame late. Too easy, and you turn corners you may not have intended to. We did a lot of tuning with all the various control options in Skyling to make sure the maze corners feel right.
Hope you enjoy the new update. As always, thank you for supporting Indie Games.

New Stores, BIG SALE!
We're celebrating summer in a big way here at Mighty Studios.
Did you recently pick up a new Fire Phone from Amazon? Well, Skyling is now available for Kindle and Fire Phone users at the Amazon App Store!
Got an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch? Not to worry, Skyling is now also in the App Store!
Still need more Summer Celebration? How about a big sale with all versions of Skyling in all stores now just 99 cents for a limited time!
Skyling has always been priced "less than a latte", but 99 cents is just plain silly. Go buy a copy before we come to our senses.
Lastly, we have a new gameplay trailer to share! Enjoy!
Please help spread the word through your favorite social media site. :)
Thanks, and have a wonderful summer!
