I know most of you guys aren’t active in the fandom anymore but I just had this idea and went on with it🥲

Last for today is Pann the fox and oh boy if she wasn’t a fan favourite back in 2020….

Pann changed but I don’t know if it’s for the best or the worst.

She was just a side character with quirky personality and always happy and cute when she’s literally one of the strongest characters out of all Showdown Valley and if she turned into a villain she could literally hurt or kill anyone on her path.

Because of her already know happy personality I’ve never dug up the backstory that I’ve revealed later on during a “ageing post” about her but this time around I’ll be clear that this girl is forcefully trying to be happy because she has issues in try to please everyone around her to the point she’ll get in front of a bullet and save someone just to prove she’s useful.

She’s jealous of her belongings and friends which causes some misunderstandings with Mary when she’s first brought into the fold because all Pann did was shove Mary’s friends away and tried to have the Undertaker kid all for herself since she’s her first genuine friend. She and Mary later on have a long talk about this and, even if it comes back to the surface at times, Pann understood and is doing her best not to fall back in toxic habits.

I took away her fluffy hair for now because I like to play around with hairstyles but I did give her more chest fluff and even her cheeks and ears are “fluffy” now (for wood puppets that is) and her body is also structured more differently from the other puppets just because she’s bigger than them. She can’t turn into a human like before and her best friend is now Morgan just because they understand what is like leaving their home to keep everyone safe even if they took it differently since Morgan keeps her distance from everyone while Pann surrounds herself with people.

She’s still friendly as usual and a playful girl but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t have her off days as well which are dealt with food, sleep and talking.

Rinn/Nova has a major development because I took her out of the double life trope (Cop/Bandit) and just let her be the villain of Mary’s story in the very beginning but she’s nowhere evil and just trolling our poor Undertaker for shits and giggles.

In the first version of their love story all began when Mary and Rinn were both kids as childhood friends and that didn’t change but they don’t remember each other and when they learn about it it’s another reason to bug the other with.

Rinn is protective at first and in the beginning of their actual friendship development shoves Mary away to keep her out of trouble and Mary listens but that doesn’t mean she isn’t always too far to hit someone with her shovel while Bandit is off to solve his own problems.

What leads to their relationship is Mary getting abducted by Rinn’s boss and the girl having to stand guard while the others go and rob trains. Mary is the victim of Rinn’s annoying self but in the end they manage to talk like normal people and learn to accept the other without wanting to kill them the second they open their mouth until it blooms in a crush from Rinn’s part (because our lovely Mary enjoys seeing her suffer and pretends she doesn’t notice the romantic advances)

With Rinn not living a second life as a cop she doesn’t have a problem in showing her face because she’s aware of her escape skills and even if Mary calls the sheriff she’ll find a way out anyway (Mary is the first civilian to see her face because Bandit already knows Rinn’s lot and isn’t actually surprised)

Mary is alive and well and a mama’s girl as her former self but now instead of being either traumatised or the comic relief she has her own problems and insecurities.

Since she’s trying to help Bandit during the game storyline she’s the one to try and give answers to the poor dude that was just taken out of his eternal sleep by Mary’s mother. She’s shaken when they meet Penny and has her priorities to forcefully drag Bandit and try to save her from complete insanity.

Her family life can be rough during different times since she’s the opposite of her parents (she can be silent and observant like Lorelei but short tempered and too energetic like Penny) which leads to fights and her running out of her home to her girlfriend, Rinn, but that doesn’t mean she’s not trying to be a good daughter.

Mary’s relationship with Rinn started as an enemies to lovers kind of trope (since Rinn is a bandit and all) but they are stable and now actually admit to each other if they are going through something!

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve drawn a puppet so she really challenged my patience….

Anyway Lorelei is more of that one distant parent that you either love or hate but she isn’t doing it because she hates her daughters. Her canon character is pretty mysterious and more of a character that makes you have more questions than answers and this reflects to her own family but Penny learned how her wife works, Alice is distant like her so they have a mother/daughter respect but their relationship is pretty bad and Mary is the only one out of the three that gives her all to have a normal relationship with her own mother.

So I guess I’ll start writing here a few changes I made starting with Morgan and Koko

They were initially both native Americans but after making researches and following various indigenous content creators on various platforms I realise just how I didn’t give this two enough justice for their background and roots.

Now I finally know just how vast and beautiful indigenous culture is so I’ll first change how Koko looks because she’s still in a tribe while Morgan is the one throwing me slightly off because she lives in the valley with everyone else and I don’t want to touch the assimilation of indigenous people because I don’t know much about that topic and even if I’m studying it I’ll never know enough so I’ll just say that she got out of her own tribe after believing that she was cursed to protect everyone else.

I clothes are the second thing I’ll surely change for Koko because I know how actual regalia looks like so I’m trying hard to show just how beautiful it is thanks to the variety of videos out there that I saw.

If you’re an indigenous person and want to correct me about anything please do because I’m not indigenous and I only know what I could find on the internet. I made this characters back in 2020/21 only because it’s a game based around cowboys, bandits and western in general but I don’t want to give the usual incorrect representation to anyone about your culture
