“maybe,” she shrugged and ran a hand through her hair. “maybe it’s my teenage rebellion and it’s just coming a little bit later than most.” she smiled and fixed her bag over her shoulder.

“At least I’m not the only one! Now, if I’m right, the way out should be just around this corner.” The exit was a flight of steps that led up into a secret door in the back of a cupboard. This cupboard was proudly displayed in the back room of Zonko’s Joke Shop, although not many knew of the hidden passageway. 

andromeda grinned and followed her, excited to see where they were. once she stepped out of the cupboard quietly, she smiled wider. “we’re in hogsmeade! much quicker than that old walkway too.”

“The staircase changed on my way to Potions…  I almost didn’t go in when I was late, and I kind of wish I hadn’t because Old Sluggy spent almost the entire class glaring at me.”

Emma laughs, moving deeper into the tunnel. It wouldn’t be a far walk, she hoped. She’s not taken this passageway before but she’d been told it led straight to Hogsmeade. “I just thought we deserved a break from all our NEWT work. Or at least I do.” 

“i definitely agree with you. all this studying is kicking my arse.” she sighed with a shake of her head. “and i thought last year was bad.”
