So the backstory of darkness is...she was in A universe with ponies and once every 50 years there was a river that nobody was allowed to go to because it would kill whoever came near it. The reason nobody was allowed to go near this river is because it went up into the clouds. On this appointed day darkness was playing hide and go seek with all of her pony friends.When she was hiding she got lost because she tripped on a stone and rolled away from the path. Well she came across a river and she realize she was really thirsty. The river that she happen to come across was the river that she wasn’t supposed to be by. She starts walking towards the river and trips on another stone and falls into the water. Well the stream was moving too fast for her to swim up the gasp air. She is starting to drown... suddenly she gets powers (a cutie Mark now.)  A blue gem appeared on her chest Suddenly she created a bubble of air around her. she didn’t know what to do so she lets the stream take her away until it stopped in an area of light around her. This is where she meets Chi. all Chi wanted to do is get darkness back to her family and her own world.  Chi creates a portal to let darkness travel safely back to her town but darkness being a klutz falls into a hole nearby the portal. Transporting her into a place of darkness the pony slowly loses consciousness her gem becomes cracked and slowly turning black.Chi Chases after her and save her life but barely. Chi notices that the once normal(earth)pony  is now overflowing with magic none like her world has seen. So Chi thinks it’s a good idea to take her along on her adventures and help the little pony learn how to control her powers. They go back to her world and talk to her parents. Darkness his parents were happy for her to go because they wouldn’t be the laughingstock of the klutzy pony anymore. On their adventures darkness tends to not handle her powers well and usually if she uses them misfortune happens upon her where water rains down on her and will start eating away any type of material that she is wearing. To help darkness control her pillars more she learns how to create ice wings using black holes to freeze the water in a controlled manner. She has different forms in which help her control her powers. Darkness also has on ear bite because she didn't listen to Chi about fighting a monster by herself... That the run down.
