GOOGLE SITES
For final submission we presented our work on google sites, with all of our final outcomes. For my final outcomes I choose to use 3 of my best GIF’s a banner with all my best work from the FMP on, 5 posters in the style of 70′s music festival posters and a look book for my brand ‘Pink Moon’. I presented my google sites in this way because it looks creative and very neat, I also think all the colours match well which makes it very aesthetically pleasing. I chose to present my best pages of my magazine below the flip book as I felt this really outlined my best work and presented it clearly. I also added a little banner at the bottom of stickers I made of the sunglass image, I used the same colours that were presented below the magazine as my best pages. I think this looks really cool and quirky as it adds creativity and makes the presentation look better. This portrays my best work in a good way because its all very clear, bold and colour which means it fits in well with super 70s. The work I've chosen to present on this page represents my project perfectly as it shows all my best work which all link to the super 70s, through styling, imagery, the bright colours and the style I created the edits in. I think it definitely presents my project clearly as all my work presented links perfectly. It reflects my project through styling, imagery, edits and bright colours as this links o the super 70s.
PORTFOLIO
Within my portfolio I included all of my best work throughout year 1, this being imagery and digital edits I have created. Firstly, I had this laid out in a image carousel however I decided to have all the images laid out so they were more visible. I think this was a good idea because it means the examiner can see clearly all my work and doesn't have to flick through as they may not flick to the end. I presented this by doing the layout 2 images then 3 and made sure the images on the same line linked so it didn't look over whelming and messy. I really like how I’ve presented it as I feel it looks neat, shows my work clearly and has a very repetitive layout which makes it seem professional.

TARGET AUDIENCE
I have created a brand with their own ‘super 70s’ collection, I got this idea because lots of fashion from 1970-2000s are being brought back into fashion in a contemporary stye. I did this by styling the models in 70s style clothes and creating edits that were bright and bold. My brand is called ‘Pink Moon’ and I created lots of experimental edits to involve in a look book for the collection within the brand. I think this collection will be focused at the target audience of women aged 16-24 who are interested in super 70s contemporary street style fashion. I think this target audience is appropriate as the age tend to follow trends and I feel that this kind of street style 70s vibe is back in fashion and coming through more than ever.

GIF'S
I created 4 GIF’s to post on my google sites to show different techniques and make it look more interesting. I created a simple gif to show some movement ichi a few photos I took in one shoot. I really like this one as its simple but affective as it looks like the model is moving in her poses of her shoot. Then I created gifs with more layers to show my skills within making gifs, personally I hate the one of hetty as I think it looks too much which makes it look overwhelming to the eye. My favourite gif is definitely of the bag as I think all the colours match and create a cool colour palette. I like how its simple and the image is still clear but also has me shapes and text flashing around the object as I think it makes it look more interesting and eye catching.

LOOK BOOK
For my final major project i decided to create a look book, which would be for my brand and show the clothes and styling. I created lots of different edits from different photo shoots to create the pages to look cool and unique and show my my creative, experimental edits. I created this on indesign and put them all in the order that i thought looked most authentically pleasing as the colours contrast and look cool together. I placed the simple edits next to the very edited ones as i thought they made it less over whelming, i think this makes it look better. Within my look book i used a wide range of photography and graphic skills, this adds variety in my work.

WEEK 9 REFLECTION
This week I started creating my final designs and edits. I created my look-book for my brand ‘Pink Moon’, this has all my experimental edits and images in of different clothing that links with 70s style. I also created 5 of my final poster designs in the style off 70s festival posters, these turned out really cool and unique. I like these because they are in the style of 70s but they are very much contemporary which is what I was trying to go for. I also created my final logo for my brand, I experimented with different logo ideas and picked my best one- for this I looked at other logo examples to give me some ideas and to help with research- this was helpful because it gave me the ideas that I came up with. Then I created a simple GIF, which is okay because it doesn't show much skill as it had two layers and the background just changed colours- next week I will created a couple of gifs I actually want to use in my final piece. In photography I did a object shoot, I took images of bright objects like orange bag and sunglasses and then a pink pair of shoes- I think this is one of my favourite shoots as they were clear, bold and bright- it looks very well with the 70s style as the colours stood out. Also the it works perfectly in my brand cookbook as it focusing on accessories as well as styling and clothing this adds diversity to my magazine. Finally, in my practical workshop I created some marbling pieces and scanned them in and to edit them, I really liked these as they created some really cool backgrounds and I used them when created my posters. This worked well as it linked to the type of style I was going for. Before I did this I did some research on Pinterest to get some ideas of what I wanted to create- this helped because it helped me decide which colours to use.

WEEK 8 REFLECTION
This week I created a 70s style shoot of hetty, I used the technique styling and got her to wear an outfit I thought would fit perfectly to the idea. Within this shoot I also focused on poses my favourite was the ‘peace and pout’ pose as I feel like it really works well with the theme and the 70s vibe. I then created some backgrounds edits and some research on Pinterest to give me inspiration. These went well as I created some cool graphic backgrounds using bright colours and I think this makes the edits a lot more interesting and unique. And finally my last piece of research was on 70s music festival poster ideas as I needed inspiration for how to create mine as this was the idea I was working with. This helped my project progress as it helps me with ideas and kind of helped me plan out what I wanted to do before starting it.

WEEK 7 REFLECTION
During this week I made sure I focused on getting a lot of my research done on the 70s era. I researched contemporary fashion in 70s style, about 70s fashion and Britain in 1970s. I think this has really benefitted my project as is looks as the history of the 70s which shows that I have more of an understanding of 70s and the time. I also researched some ideas for magazine covers on Pinterest to give me an idea of the type of cover I would like to try create- this helped because its initial research and also shows planning within my project. For my digital techniques this week I created some digital collages that came out really cool however they don't fit very well to 1970s era so I will not be using them in any final magazines or banners, to improve on this I could have added some brighter colours that contrasted each other to make it 70s style.
For my photography this week I did two shoots of jazz one being experimental where I used a different lens that had lines down it, this had a positive impact on my work because it shows diversity within my photography and created really cool and unique outcomes, I will definitely try this again in future photoshoots. Then I did 2 other shoots of hetty wear I focused on her styling on double denim and I did this using the black back drop- personally, I think this would have looked much better with the white backdrop as it would have been brighter and the outfit would have clearly contrasted with the background. I will remember this for next time as it had a negative effect on my shoot. Finally, I did a shoot of Eva in her Jaded London tracksuit as this is from their 70s range and fits perfectly to my super 70s theme. To create more research I then did some research on this brand and did plans for the shoot.

BANNER
I created these banners on photoshop I experimented with different colour schemes, layouts and backgrounds. I decided on my final banner as the background as orange as all the images contrasted with it. I like how I've used the background as the texture of the bag as it makes it unique and bold. I decided to use less edited images as my magazine has all my experimental edits in and using the plain images shows more of my photography skills. I like this because the background contrasts with the foreground as the background I’d bright and bold however the images are simple this makes it work really well together.

OBJECT SHOOT RESEARCH
I decided to research Cinzia’s instagram page as its very aesthetic and involves lots of colour and objects. I decided to use her as research because she takes lots of images of bold fashion statement objects. I was inspired by her to take bold images of my fashion objects as I think it looks really cool and interesting and adds diversity to her page other than just images of her, this is also what the images did for my look book as it added a bit of diversity. I also think her page uses lots of different colours some bright bright and others being neutrals, I think how she uses and combines the bright colours together is very fashionable and is almost inspired by the super 70s era. I like the technique of taking fashion images of objects and will defiantly experiment with this technique again.

OBJECT SHOOT
I did this shoot using the white backdrop as this made the images look more professional and better quality, we made sure the cameras settings were set correctly to make the images bright and properly focused. I had the light box positioned right in front of the object to make it clear and bold. Then we had the studio lights aiming at the background to create the crisp white background. I really like this because it contrasts to the object in the foreground making it bold and clear.
I chose these objects as they were bright, colourful and aesthetic and I thought they would be a good reference to use for the super 70s as they’re bright and the styles are groovy.
I created these edits for pages in my look book and I really like these as they are very plain and simplistic but I feel that makes the edits more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I think these will fit in very well with my look book as they are plain, colourful and bold; I also think it gives the look book a bit of diversity as all my other edits are of people.

POSTERS IN THE STYLE OF 70S FESTIVAL
I created these edits in the style of the 70s festival posters, I like my edits as they are in the style of the 70s posters but are edited and look more contemporary- which is what I was aiming for.
I created these edits by using the type tool, liquify tool, blend tool and the lasso tools. For the backgrounds I used the marbling outcomes I made in my practical lesson and changed the hue and saturation to create different colours and tones. I love how I've liquified the type and found type in the style of the 70s on dafont as its made it look more effective. I love these edits and am going to use them as my posters for my final project.

FILM: FESTIVAL EXPRESS
Festival Express is a 2003 documentary film about the 1970 train tour of the same name across Canada taken by some of North America's most popular rock bands. The film combines footage of the 1970 concerts and on the train, interspersed with contemporary recollections of the tour by its participants. Festival Express was staged in three Canadian cities: Toronto, Winnipeg and Calgary, during the summer of 1970. Rather than flying into each city, the musicians traveled by chartered Canadian National Railways train, in a total of 14 cars. The train journey between cities ultimately became a combination of non-stop jam sessions and partying fuelled by alcohol.
I choose to research this because its a modernised film looking back at the time 1970. And it shows what the 1970s rock time was like with festivals. I picked these two posters as I think they link well with rock festival posters. he first one definitely links more but is more simple and clear. I also like the second because it shows fashion and uses different colours within the colour pallets which makes the poster look cool and interesting. I like how they've used text within the images- I will take ideas from this and try create my own in the style.

EXPERIMENTING WITH MARBLING
In todays workshop I experimented with the technique marbling as I thought it would look similar to my liquified backgrounds I have created. To create these outcomes you need a tray of clean water and marbling inks. Then you squit a few drops of the ink in the water and mix them with a brush. Next you place a white bit of paper into the water and let the ink hit and soak into the paper to create this really cool pattern.
Here are my outcomes which I have scanned to my computer and edited them on photoshop to make them better quality. I changed the levels to make the image brighter and more bold. I also layered the outcomes over each other and used the blend tool to blend some together which created a really cool, wacky pattern with bright colours that worked well together.
I made these to use as backgrounds as they show another experimental technique and will create a really unique, bold background which will link to super 70s well.
I researched a few designs on Pinterest to get an idea of the colours and patterns they created. I really liked the bright designs that had lots of patterns within the piece as I thought it would be a great idea for a background and the patterns link to the patterns that were on a lot of clothing in the 70s. Some of these designs also remind me of the Pucci pattern which links perfectly with the super 70s. I liked all these designs but I decided I wanted to try do some bright, colourful designs so I took inspiration from this examples to try create mine similar. This research helped because it gave me an idea of what I wanted my end result to look like.

LOGOS
These are the style of logos I found and liked on pintrest. I like these because they are simple but effective, I especially like the ‘Dazed’ magazine logo as its bold and clear. My favourite idea was the writing in a circle shape with distorted words in as I thought it looked interesting also I think it links more with the 70s vibe as its wacky, different and the swirly look of the patterns goes well. This is where I got my inspiration for my logos for and this helped me with ideas of what to design.
I created six different logos on illustrator, I decided to name my brand ‘Pink Moon’ I decided to name it this because its a song from 1972 sung by Nick Drake. I decided to use a song as it links to the 70s and im also looking at music festivals so it links well.
I decided to make six logos so I could compare and see which one I liked the best out of my ideas. I got some inspiration of Pinterest for the logos in the circle shape. My favourite is the pink and black one- I did this by using the anchor points and distorting the text. I picked this over the others as I think the pink links to the 70s well as its bright and bold. I also love how the text looks distorted as its unique and interesting.
