The moon,
clouds my brain
One big stain.
Black and white,
Nowhere to hide.
I breathe my fear
Cause all is lost
and you,
Nowhere near.

What do you see?
Vorm
Inhoud (mens, dier, abstract)
Populariteit/Originaliteit
Organisatie en structuur.

26 Mind-Blowing Psychology Facts That You Never Knew About People
Learning something new about yourself is always interesting and entertaining. And understanding the psychology behind the way we behave, treat others, and express ourselves can be even more appealing.
Bright Side have compiled a list of the most surprising psychology facts that can help you better understand yourself and others.
Any friendship that was born in the period between 16 and 28 years of age is more likely to be robust and long lasting.
Women generally prefer men with deep husky voices because they seem more confident and not aggressive.
The people who give the best advice are usually the ones with the most problems.
The smarter the person is, the faster he thinks, and the sloppier his handwriting is.
Our emotions don’t affect the way we communicate. In fact, the very opposite is true: the way we communicate has an influence on our mood.
The way a person treats restaurant staff reveals a lot about their character.
People who have a strong sense of guilt are better at understanding other people’s thoughts and feelings.
Men are not funnier than women: they just make more jokes, not caring whether other people like their humor or not.
Shy people talk little about themselves, but they do this in a way that makes other people feel that they know them very well.
Women have twice as many pain receptors on their bodies than men, but they have a much higher pain tolerance.
Listening to high-frequency music makes you feel calm, relaxed, and happy.
If you can’t stop your stream of thoughts at night, get up and write them down. This will set your mind at ease so you can sleep.
Good morning and good night text messages activate the part of the brain responsible for happiness.
Doing things that scare you will make you happier.
The average amount of time a woman can keep a secret is 47 hours and 15 minutes.
People who try to keep everyone happy often end up feeling the loneliest.
The happier we are, the less sleep we require.
When you hold the hand of a loved one, you feel pain less keenly and worry less.
Intelligent people tend to have less friends than the average person. The smarter the person is, the more selective they become.
Marrying your best friend eliminates the risk of divorce by over 70%, and this marriage is more likely to last a lifetime.
Women who have mostly male friends stay in a good mood more often.
People who speak two languages may unconsciously shift their personalities when they switch from one language to another.
Being alone for a long time is as bad for your health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
Travel boosts brain health and also decreases a person’s risk of heart attack and depression.
People look more attractive when they speak about the things they are really interested in.
When two persons talk to each other and one of them turns their feet slightly away or repeatedly moves one foot in an outward direction, this is a strong sign of disagreement, and they want to leave.

To be HSP
Hi there, I recently told you that I am HSP.
This maand that I'm highly sensitive. Some people call it hypersensitivity, and for me, it's very important that other people know what they have to deal with. It's not always easy being highly sensitive, not for yourself and also not for people near you. What you feel and what you don't feel can be a real struggle.
Tumblr media
Just being yourself and accepting who you are can be hard, because as HSP, you feel, hear and smell all sorts of things 10 times harder or louder. Many people say that it's a high, being HSP. I truely believe it can be, but then you have to embrace it. You have to come clean, be at ease and embrace the day as it is. Being HSP means that it's hard to seize the day. 'Enjoying' has a whole different meaning because your mind is never empty. And, when it seems empty it's filled again with taughts and things you should not think about. The things I often think about and worry me, are mostly future-based. It's something like a constant brain training game. Questions trigger my mind constantly and also noises and smells get into my system very quickly.
Sometimes the effects of my hypersensitivity get to me so heavily that I have migraines.
Also when I get to much incentives, I can get very tired. For me it's hard to be surrounded by too many people. Then my mind tries to capture all the details, all the differences and tries to compare them. It's a constant mixture of feelings; like you are captivated by them. In a way my mind is constantly analysing what it sees, feels, hears, and combines that with 'like' or 'dislike'.
This process is so tirering that sometimes I'm exhausted because of it.
It's hard for others to comprehend this all. For me it's hard to explain. It's a part of who I am and difficult to switch off. It's a constant mechanism that also tries to tell me when something's wrong. Subconsciously my mind gives me hints and interprets signals very fast. Whithin a few minutes I know when a situation has changed. I can tell when something's wrong, when someone is mad or sad.
Because of my HSP, I have to deal with fear every day. Sometimes my mind takes over and then it's like my mind starts whispering in my ear. All sorts of questions get in to my head. "What do I want?", "What do I need?", "What does the future hold?" I can't answer those questions, but it's my ratio that tries to fill the gaps. Tries to, that's right. It doesn't work this way. I know, but as an HSP I have the desire to controle everything around me. Just because it makes me wonder less.
All my questions keep me busy during the day. They don't stop when I'm doing something else. In fact, I'm a constant multitasker, but it doesn't bring me much joy.
