Reo and Nagi’s fight, explained
The Two Promises:
The friendship promise, proposed by Nagi: “Stay with me until the end.” This is Nagi’s only condition for entering Blue Lock- to guarantee that they won’t be “enemies someday”.
The reason for this promise: Nagi not having friends or family. He is isolated, his classmates think he is the devils child and will get cursed if they speak to him. This is to the point that he gets a cactus as he realized he has not spoken aloud in weeks and will get outcast from society.
Reo is the “only one who ever took an interest in a slacker like him.” In Harajuku, Reo tells him that if Nagi “started sucking at trapping, yeah I’d abandon you.” Reo thinks that if it wasn’t for soccer, they would never be together.
Essentially it boils down to “I will do soccer for your dream as long as you stay friends with me.” Nagi places his entire value to Reo based on his soccer talent.
Reo agrees to the friendship promise, however takes it TOO literally.
He hears “Physically stay with me the ENTIRE duration of Blue Lock” while Nagi means “get stronger, believe in each other, and meet up at the end to reach our main goal with our friendship intact.”
The main promise, proposed by Reo:The end goal of winning the World Cup.
Nagi assumes he and Reo can win the World Cup easily, having only known success their entire short career.
However after having experienced his first defeat by Isagi since he started playing, Nagi realizes that he might not be able to achieve Reo’s dream, the World Cup. Nagi even tells him “I wouldn’t mind if you left me if you found someone stronger”, and Reo thinks it’s too heartless. They assume the other would react the same way they would.
Nagi knows he has to get stronger no matter what, and assumes he can learn from the others by teaming up with them and just regroup and tell Reo what he’s learned, and that he’s practiced a lot.
Meanwhile Reo believes that by breaking their first promise of sticking together, the second is now invalid.
His goal has changed to “get revenge, prove to Nagi he made the wrong choice.”
At this point only Nagi was “single mindedly continuing to believe in their dream” of achieving the World Cup.
The crux of their fight:
Nagi is angry since he thinks he’s the only one still aiming for their main promise. He’s realized he actually enjoys soccer, and is tired of Reo yanking him around like a toy. With Reo losing sight of their dream, Nagi is frustrated and accuses him of him breaking the MAIN promise.
Picking Reo for their team will not make him strong enough to get to the end of Blue Lock, as he’s learned from Isagi and Bachira that fighting separately and getting stronger alone is what they should do. Reo trying to fulfill their promise of constantly being together compromises their World Cup dream.
At this point, they both think the other has broken one of their promises. They abandon both and make up new ones.
With the loss of his and Reo’s friendship, he changes his goal to beating Isagi. Reo changes his to be a striker, proving Nagi wrong and becoming the world best on his own.
Conclusion:
Both of them proposed their conditions for their partnership. Both in their own way tried to fulfil the other’s request but in doing so, broke the other one.
Reo: I’ve fulfilled your promise of staying together, why did you leave me?
Nagi: I’ve fulfilled your promise of getting stronger to win the World Cup, why did you leave me?
So that is why neither are incorrect for their fight. Nagi gets engrossed with Reo’s dream of soccer while Reo obsesses with trying to win back their friendship, essentially swapping roles. Nagi apologizes several times to Reo in his head “after learning defeat I want to get stronger, I’m sorry Reo, the me who is no longer with you, the me who left you behind, please forgive me.”
Reo mirrors these thoughts and apologizes too, “it’s my fault for forcing him to go along with my dreams and ideals, it’s not Nagi’s fault. I’m the one who needs to change in order to live those heated days by his side again.”
They both want the same things (being friends, winning the cup) but Aki and Ego think their codependency will compromise the latter. The real problem is how to fulfill both their promises to each other at the same time.

This whole scene is pretty wild on its own
But with the added context that THIS is happening at the same place at the same time makes it so much funnier
