Final Outcome - Turntable Sheet
I feel really happy with this outcome. I wished i also created the 3/4 angle as well but this was enough to create a 3D model.

Final Outcome - 3D Turntable Render
Despite all my struggles with 3D modelling and Maya crashing multiple times, I really enjoyed making this. I know i still have a long way to go but i feel proud that i was still able to present something in the turntable. I really wished i had more time so i could finish this how i intended but that may be something i was to explore in the summer.

I created a blue background on After Effects, I then added the clips to Premier Pro and shortened the clips down.
Additionally, i followed Pogo Motions tutorial on the turntable render and lighting.

I made this pattern to add onto the model but it will not show so i think i will have to recolour manually unfortunately.

i have been struggling with this modelling as it wont let me re cut and i had to delete a section of the model as some of my model went under other pieces. It is almost hand in date but i am still opomistic even if i cant finish the design completely.

I am very frustrated with this situation. Maya froze and crashed, so i have to restart my 3D model all over again as the last time I saved my scene it was almost 3 hours before it crashed. It is almost time to hand in so i feel like i can't make my 3D model how im planning on it looking.

Using Illustrator, I redraw my sketch by cleaning up the lines and exchanging the basket with potions to balloons and a sign. This is to show Venus' parade role.

I have started to create my sun design into Illustrator and i have struggled a little bit. I think it is because i want to recreate it exactly as the sketch but i think i'm going to restart again.

Class exercise - Take a minimalist approach. Using ideas from your collage exercise last week, and methods learnt in illustrator represent the idea in simple ways using shape and colour.
This is The Moon, which has the archetype of the caregiver and Greek Goddess Artemis. The bow and arrow are the weapons that Artemis uses. I really like the design but I am not sure if it is minimalist enough. Plus, I wish I added the parade role of the banner holder in this design.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park
I had an amazing experience at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. I was able to get to know the 3rd year students while looking at amazing sculptures. It felt so nice to be outside as it helps visualise the impact that art creates.
I did some life drawings of the most interesting sculptures that i got to see. This helped motivate me to continue with my character design as i was struggling with concentration and motivation due to my ADHD

I wasn't in for this lecture, but i will try to catch up during enhancement week.
Class Exercise 1:
Swap your strongest silhouette with your pair
Brief your partner on what is important to include and the visual language associated with the characters.
Use either Photoshop or Illustrator to map out details on your partner's illustration. Try out different variations.
I decided on my sun silhouette because I felt like there was a lot I could experiment with. Unfortunately, because i wasn't in for this exercise, i could only use my own silhouette.
I tried to experiment with The Sun using the descriptors of;
Consciousness
Self
Ego
Archetype of Jester / Fool
Greek God Apollo
I like them all, but i think I like the last one the most as it fits the jester archetype while still creating the other-worldly look that a God may look like - not Apollo in particular. If I have time, I will try to complete the rest of the exercises and create the turnaround.

After i created my first silhouettes of Pluto, i decided to create a couple more sketches of what my other silhouettes could look like. Looking back, you can see that they are very simplistic and that was because i was still very unsure of what i could do on illustrator. I am glad that these designs were not the final product, but I'm glad i made them as a starting point.
