the fight has nearly come to an end ; blood staining white fur, his flesh rotted and ------ mezcal can nearly stand, and falls when he tries, grabbing onto teqis robe as he walks past. " help me. " he demands, despite having tortured the girl who somehow still lived, laying in a crater covered in blood feet away. " help me. " mezcal repeats his demand, his leg and half of his side turning to dust, causing him to collapse.
putting him on the spot like this....
"oh dear, how could I choose?" laces with venomous sarcasm, he checked in daitens ki. faint, but it was there. a heavy weight felt moved off his chest. it wouldn't actually be gone as long as mezcal was alive. still the angel had to admit it was a pitiful sight, watching him collapse to the ground.
daitens quirk... he noted how much she loathed this quirk, ironic it would be what saved her from being killed. but he chose to focus on mezcal, not able to just leave him there.
".... you really were manches favorite, you know. he really wanted you to succeed." he knelt down towards mezcal, a cold look on his face as he spoke. oh, what would manche do now? definitely not heal him, but he would sit with mezcal like how teqi was now. manche wouldn't let him die alone.
"and I asked him that day, why he didn't kill you. and he said he just couldn't bring himself to do it. I bet you would call it a moment of weakness but..." the angel stood up. he had to heal daiten before it was too late.
teqi wasnt like manche. he had no trouble allowing that man to rot, turning his back on him entirely.
"I think anyone who spits in the face of that kindness deserves this punishment. atleast die with dignity"

“ curious, are we ? ” for now, mezcal’s peaceful. playing with the angry saiyan before him ; a much more mentally disruptive game of who killed who. mezcals arms cross behind his back ------- professional, his presence demanding respect from those beneath him.
he shouldn’t be here. the universe had fractured at the weight of two fights between gods, one that had lasted days. he should be communing with the kais, speaking over how they would fix the damage. yet even the angel at his side seems clocked out of the conversation and more ready for a drink. chaumette glances to the destroyer, waiting for mezcal to be finished with the conversation.
“ they were killed by their own weakness. but what would you like me to say, goku, that it wasn’t me ? ”
@sungokus continued.

DESTROYER VERSE ; a broken universe, thousands of planets destroyed by a fight between three worthy of being gods. that is what mezcal rules instead of helps, after a fight with manche and daiten that had lasted days and had ended with both of their deaths.
it’s only a matter of time until the zenos destroys it, and only a matter of time until mezcal abandons ship to find the golden dragon balls or worse.

mezcals only sibling and younger sister was named nikka. she was the golden child and a natural fighter. she was born when mezcal was eight years old.
nikka was taught that strength was the most important thing and learned from example to mistreat her older brother by agreeing to fight and embarrass him, mocking him when she thought it’d get her attention and more than that.
make no mistake, nikka was a result of their parents parenting style and manipulations.
nikka was still killed by mezcal after he returned from his training to become a destroyer, her soul salvaged by manche stopping mezcal from hakai-ing her and the planet.

“ this isn’t as much of a problem now. ” but it was, wasn’t it ? mezcal reaches to rest his paw on manches shoulder ; a moment to comfort the other destroyer, and a moment of false understanding -------- they both would miss their families.
“ you can retire, old man, go be with your family. i’ve got things. teqi may not like me as much but i can deal with it. “

anonymous said : nikka yelps, pain flooding when she crumples out of the wall of their home, crashing through the snow. mom and dad were dead, killed by.... by.... even with blood beginning to cloud her vision, she glares. she glares to see mezcal walking out of the hole he made. she wasn't little anymore, much stronger than the last time the two of them exchanged blows, but it was still nothing compared to the overwhelming power he had somehow obtained. "m-mezcal... what happened to you?! what are you doing?!"
there were no crowds to celebrate his success ; but being a god seemed to be enough. where now there were no mediators or judges to keep the snow from turning crimson / no one to stop him from crushing his mothers skull and his fathers throat. their bodies had been left for the golden child to find and mezcal could still hear nikkas reaction to the corpses.
this was what it meant to be a god. where a mere single blast that sent nikka through the stone wall of their childhood home, and she’d been sent tumbling through the snow until her back hit a tree, she was nothing compared to him. something that the god of destruction laughed for in an all too mocking manner.
” wouldn’t you of all people recognize the strong ? or do you just not recognize a god when they’re right in front of you. ”
mezcal grabs the back of nikkas neck and drags her towards a cliffside, lifting her up by her scruff and switching hands to hold her up by her throat.
she sends a ki blast that’s only batted away with a large paw. electricity like ki lashing out to strip away any ability she had.
his grip tightens, a blast forming in the palm of his hand that has nikkas fur and skin burning in response. she yells out, lashes out and tries slashing her claws acrossed her enemies face.
the blast warps around the shape of nikkas neck and she gasps, her mouth opening in a silent protest as all air was stolen from her lungs and as tears slipped down her cheeks. it doesn’t take long for the blast to become stronger to make more blood spill. and soon enough, her head comes clean off.

anonymous said : the young girl stands over him, as the cheers from the crowd roar with her victory in the tournament. This would bring glory to the family for sure, something mezcal could never accomplish. an easy win over the family's oldest child. as if it couldn't get worst for mezcal, she sticks her tongue out, gloating her win. "nyeh! you lose, mezcal!"
a shame to his family name ; mezcal looked around in disbelief, his shoulders slumped and finally, with the fight ended he’d felt the full brunt of sore muscles and paw pads that felt as if a touch could melt snow, heated by the blasts he’d used and he’d still lost.
the crowds attention stuck to nikka, to the childs prideful stance in the way she floated above him. but the crowd couldn’t see how her fur puffed out in pride and how she grinned as she mocked him for the loss.
again . . . how humiliating.
mezcal bares his teeth in a manner of frustration. it’s not the first time he’d ached to hit the child while she wasn’t expecting it, and it certainty wasn’t the last or the worst he’d do. he turns to scan the crowd, finding their parents gazes ------- prideful, full of distaste.
his arms crossed and he turned to face the child with a scowl, ” don’t act like such a child about it, girl. ”
