   She’s packing snow into balls and stacking them. Using stones for eyes and a dotted smile but something’s missing…

   ❝ The ears, Ah need somethin’ for mah snow elf’s ears! ❞

“Oh it’s so cute!!” Star chimes in, smiling at the little snow elf and tilting her head as she thinks of what could be used as little elf ears. “Hmmm oh! How about-!!” She runs off to gather some fallen leaves then runs back and sticks the leaves into the snow elf like ears. “Ta daaaaa!!”

Mermaid Cove Mall in the Golden Ward was a pretty fun place to hang out, however when she had first arrived Star had been very disappointed to find exactly zero mermaids in the mall itself. After walking around the mall for awhile, and seeing a number of exciting and inviting things, it was the neon lights of the mall arcade that snatched her attention. Eye’s bright at the promise of fun electronic times, she walked in and felt her excitement dim at the size of it.

“Hm... I guess I shouldn’t hold this place to the same standard as Amethyst Arcade, I mean it is a whole dimension filled with video games... I guess this place is okay... but I have to wonder what kind of games it has...” Well, now she would just have to look around.

“Oh you don’t fool me Thomas. I remember just how owned you were when that Stump attacked.” Star pauses, dropping her hand after she was jabbing at him. “But... it’s good that you’re afraid of it now, so we’ll agree to double down on honoring the Stump this year!”

“Oh what now you’re afraid of the Stump? That little incident last year wouldn’t have happened if you had just believed! We should probably honor it even harder this year to make up for last year too!”

“You’re pretending to know what Stump day is?” Her surprise turns into a big frown and she crosses her arms. “No! I mean, we could put lights on the Stump as long as they’re safe but you can’t fake it! We have to honor the Stump!!”

“YOU CELEBRATE STUMP DAY TOO?!!!”

“STUMP DAY IS COMINGGGG! OOOH I CAN’T WAIT!! IT’S THE BEST HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR!!”

“How can you be swimming when the water is so cold?!” Star voiced her concern as she observed the young man’s head bobbing in the water. With her hands on her hips she looks down at the waves hitting the shore. “Hm.... maybe I can ... warm it up?” It was an idea, magic could do anything. Star rubbed her hands together, closing her eyes as she thought up a spell and her magic illuminated her hands in pink light. 

“Bubble boiling water warmth!!” She twirled in the sand and pushed her hands out toward the water as a pink beam of light shot from her hands and into a portion of the sea. It was an unpracticed, brand new spell, one that she probably shouldn’t have added the word boiling too. The section of the sea where her magic touched gradually began to heat, very soon to a dangerous boiling level.

“Haaaaai-yaa!!” Star swings the stick that was given to her on arrival, attacking a dummy she made out of newspaper, lost socks and a dash of glitter to make it a little more fun. The dummy's head breaks off the home-made body, glitter bursting, and flies across the the park in Cotes Ward. It lands in a pile of cherry blossom peddles, the crudely drawn face frowning up toward the sky.

Back by the decapitated dummy, Star has the expression that she didn’t expect that head to fly off so easily. Still, she is a skilled warrior and her surprise quickly turns into a smug grin. Smacking the stick into the palm of her hand she boasts, “and that is why you don’t mess around with Star Butterfly!”
