Little is known of C.H. Fellowes other than he tattooed by hand at the turn of the century. All that remains of him is a hand tattooing kit and a sketch book that were found in Providence Rhode Island in 1966. Fellowes sketch book was published in 1971 by the Pyne Press under the title “The Tattoo Book”. Here are a few pictures from the original.

This small carving of a water bird was created 33,000 years ago. The sculpted piece of mammoth ivory, found in the Hohle Fels cave in Germany, may be the earliest representation of a bird. [900x675]
