It was monday morning when Got7 decided that they were going to take up a very interesting job. For the past few months Youngjae and Jaebum had grown close to one another. From borrowing each other clothes, to planning trips together. Jaebum was even willing to get out of bed after a nap to get Youngjae snacks, which is surprising since the only thing he gets out of bed for is his cats.

Though they were attached by the hip there was no actual romantic progress made. So the group came up with a plan to get JB as jealous as they could to push him into finally making a move. They would include Youngjae in the plan but he’d only act awkward which would ruin everything. They needed him to be as natural as possible for this to work. After figuring out what they were going to do they set the deadline for friday.

Tuesday afternoon.

JB had decided to stay home at the dorms to catch up on some of his favorite shows. He sat on the couch, his long legs extended under the table as his arm lazily fed his face a handful of chips. Next to him sat Jackson who scrolled through his phone as he watched funny videos made by adorable ahgases. Yugyeom and Bambam hung out in their room playing video games while Mark took the remaining two members out for lunch.

When Mark mentioned the lunch to everyone Youngjae was obviously excited to hang out with his hyungs and get some delicious food. Jaebum on the other hand didn’t even say anything. He simply nodded and reached into the fridge for the mustard that he was planning to add to his sandwich.

It had been an hour since they left when JB’s phone vibrated next to him with a video message from Jinyoung. Hesitating a bit he picked up his phone, opening the text and playing the video. At first it  seemed normal, simply Jinyoung showing all the food on the table, until he lifted up the camera. Oh god, why did he have to lift up the camera?

To his despair, behind Jinyoung was a grinning red head Mark and a giggling Youngjae. With food on the otter’ss face the eldest licked his thumb, grazing his thumb across the youngest’s lip. A simple gesture to most but a declaration of war for Jaebum. Staring at his phone he watched the video on repeat, over and over again, imagining what else they did on their ‘stupid’ lunch date. Of course it wasn’t actually stupid but he wasn’t excited about it.

Glancing over Jackson tried to hold back his laughter as he texted Jinyoung and Mark, letting them know that the first mission was a success. He could just tell from how many times JB looked the video with a blank fast that it got to him, even if it was just a little. It was amusing to see his hyung repeatedly put down the phone only to pick it up once more, as if he was trying to make sure what he saw it right.

Jaebum still had no idea that he planted the first seed.

Late afternoon wednesday.

It was a early day of practice when all the members finally got home. Everyone wandered around trying to figure out what they wanted to do. Jaebum all sweaty and exhausted decided to go take a warm shower.

Taking his time he finally exiting the bathroom in sweat pants and a white t-shirt, leaving his black hair a bit damp as he stepped into the living room with his towel around his neck. Thirsty, he was going to get a cup of OJ from the fridge until something caught his eye.

Sitting in the living room was Jinyoung watching tv quietly as a tired Youngjae laid across the couch with his head on his hyung’s lap. With one hand on the arm rest propping up his face he used his free hand to gently run through Youngjae’s blonde hair, enjoying how soft it was.

“What the hell are you-”

Quickly, Jinyoung he held his finger up to his own lips before whispering “He’s sleeping. He worked really hard today so let him rest.”

He wasn’t a fan of being quieted but the jealousy he felt bubbling inside him seemed to matter more at the moment. Clenching his jaw he simply nodded before heading into the kitchen, opening the fridge with a bit of force.

Blowing air out his nose as he smirked proudly Jinyoung leaned down a bit, brushing his nose against the blonde’s hair for when mister grumpy turned around.

Grabbing a cup he poured some OJ and returned the bottle into the fridge. Sighing he went to head to his room when he caught them closer than they were before. Trying hard to ignore it he casually walked to his room, even though his steps had a bit more speed to them.

Thursday Morning

Everyone was up and eating breakfast together as a group. Though they were spread out from the couch to the kitchen table they each still interacted with one another. Eating his eggs Bambam whipped his mouth before speaking.

“Hyung! I forget to tell you the other day but I got you a present as a thank you for buying that shirt I wanted!” sitting up a bit he pulled a small box from his pocket and tossed it to his hyung at the table.

Catching it a bit clumsy he tilted his head “Eh? You didn’t have to get me anything…” opening the box the blonde was surprised by the stylish golden ring “WOAH!”

Bam smirked “Cool right?! I went to shop for some more jewelry and they had only two styles of those rings left. So you have one and I have the other. Were matching!” Holding up his hand he pointed at his own ring.

Excited Youngjae slides the ring on and gave the younger member heart fingers “Thank you so much! I’ll make sure to wear it often!” he promised with a gleeful smile.

From across the room Jaebum glared at Bambam, frowning his eyebrows at the fact that he thought giving him a ring was smart idea. Honestly, it was smart. It’s not the fact that bambam gave him a ring, it’s more so the fact that he’s mad at himself for not thinking of it first. Why didn’t he buy him rings or any type of jewelry? Why didn’t he buy matching clothes? Or matching teddy bears.

With JB off in the corner mumbling to himself the others studied him as they saw his confident wall crumbled and his pool of jealousy over flow. They could just tell that one or two more pushes would send him over the edge.

Friday.

The last day of their plan.

Spending their time in the practice room they mostly relaxed before they did any hardcore training. Bambam scrolled through music on the computer, Jinyoung and Mark laid on the couch, Jackson and Jaebum stretched while Yugyeom taught Youngjae a new dance.

For the past week JB could feel himself get more and more distracted with thoughts of Youngjae. Sure he feels things for him but they were group members, there’s not much he could do. But then again,  seeing everyone being so touchy with him made him sour. Shaking his head he peeked back at the two younger members behind him.

“Ah no, hyung.” standing behind his elder, Yugyeom gently grabbed his hips and shifted him in a different direction “When you do the next part, move your body like this,” pressing his body against him he leaned down to his face a bit “And then the next part is like this.”

“Ahhhh~” Youngjae nodded and stood up straight “That make sense! I think i got it this time.”

Jaebum observed the two as he scratched his nails against the ground. Getting up he fixed his clothes and ‘casually’ walked in between the two as he made his way to Bambam, playing it off as he was asking for a music change.

Snickered the maknae glanced at Jackson for him to make his move. Motioning that he was going to get water he wandered off as Jackson hugged Youngjae from behind.

“AH! Look at the cute otter~! If you keep dancing like this you may end up being better then Yugyeom.” he gasped and swung the younger member around playfully “Maybe you can do hit the stage next!”

Laughter filled the room as the two of them messed around, starting a tickling battle with one another. Jb tried to ignore it, speaking with Bambam over all the laughing but nothing work. All he could hear was them. Glancing at the mirror his eyes widen as he saw what Jackson was trying to do. With his arms wrapped around the otter he leaned in playfully for a kiss as Youngjae covered Jackson’s mouth with his hands.

He snapped.

He had enough. Obviously the members didn’t get it. They didn’t understand what the cute member meant to him. Stomping over to the two he shoved Jackson out of the way “Ya! Don’t touch what’s mine!” he proclaimed loudly.

Youngjae tilted his head a bit “Hyung what’s-”

Not letting him finish Jaebum cupped his cheeks in his hands, pulling him in for soft yet passionate kiss. Everyone awed as the younger member’s face became bright red. He was a bit surprised at first but slowly melted into the kiss, gripping the shirt that rested on his hyung’s chest. Trying not to smile like a idiot he broke the kiss and bit his lip embarrassed “J-Jaebum~”

Crossing his arms Jinyoung fixed his glasses and nodded proudly.

“I knew the plan would work~”

so im gonna start making a little Series because i love this concept and heres how jaebum and youngjae met. maybe ill write a fic about it, maybe ill just leave it in this format. also, it contains more than one ship. enjoy!!

- youngjae is something like royalty in the siren world

- until he gets caught by humans

- theres a law in their world where if a siren is touched by human hands (aside from when its dinner time) theyre shunned by the species and can never return, no matter who they are

- also, after a human touches a siren, the siren can grow legs without losing their ability to go back to their true form if they want to

- jaebum is a kumiho (9 tailed fox) that was just finishing up… dinner… when he heard somebody sniffling and sobbing quietly somewhere near him

- he finds youngjae curled up in the sand on a closed off part of the beach, shivering with his knees pulled up to his chest. he doesnt question why hes naked

- now, jaebum might be a maneater, but he isnt heartless. so he carefully approaches the crying boy— he knows what kind of dangers lurk out there, obviously. and he can sense the otherness surrounding youngjae

- “whats wrong?”

- his voice is softer than he thinks its ever been— and he slides off his jacket to cover the poor “boy” up at least a little

- the sound youngjae makes breaks his heart because its so full of pain and sorrow and fear

- jaebum sits himself down on the sand and decides that hes not going to leave until he fucks up whoever hurt this fragile looking boy

- it takes a while, but youngjae eventually spills everything. he couldnt care less that jaebum is a stranger—

- they havent eaten each other because well, magic tastes disgusting, honestly.

- jaebum comforts youngjae well into the night, until the siren falls asleep on him

- then he takes him home and makes sure he’s all tucked in and safe (he calls jinyoung to make sure someone comes to check on him)

- and after thats all done, he goes to kick some ass.

- he kills 10 men that night and still makes it home to make breakfast for his new friend

- youngjae is downright terrified when he wakes up

- and he cant stop sneezing. is there a cat in here? where even is “here” ??

- oh. he remembers now.

- jaebum barges in with a tray full of food soon after, smiling with all teeth when he sees youngjae is already up

- bacon definitely makes you forget that you were just kicked out of your home land and shunned from your own species

- youngjae chokes on said bacon when jaebum casually mentions the revenge he took

- “you… you didnt have to do that, yknow.”

- “did you want to?”

- youngjae just goes back to his bacon

- jaebum keeps him in bed for a week, insisting that its the guest room anyway, its not like youngjae is taking up any space. and no, he isnt bothering anybody.

- they never discuss youngjae moving out

- neither of them really want it to happen, anyway. youngjae feels safe here.

bonus !!

- all of jaebums friends are immediately in love with youngjae

- bambam adds a cat to his family

- jaebum breaks a plate the first time he hears youngjae sing (he was cooking dinner)
