Y0! Goro Majima x Reader - Domestic Headcanons

been workin on this for a bit! Based on Yakuza 0! Majima since I haven't finished Kiwami yet.

Genre: Domestic Fluff, Slightly Suggestive

-def the type to sleep in, he works in nightlife so naturally his body clock is shifted. Occasionally when you go on day time dates, he’ll get up a bit earlier to get ready but will definitely be groggy af

-generally has a hard time sleeping, even when he’s sleeping with another person. More often than not, you’ll find him in your kitchen drinking water/tea or alcohol on worse nights. Though if you’re a nightowl like him, one way to get his mind off the insomnia is simply chatting. Sitting in the kitchen at 3am talking about random shit is the one thing that convinced majima you’re the one

-when he does wake up before you, he goes outside for a smoke. Then sits on the edge of your bed and watches you. His favorite thing you do is whenever you catch him in one of these states (with his back turn towards you) and you hug him from behind. Melts his heart everytime

-he mostly does cleaning related chores, especially laundry. Since he’s had to wear a suit that has to look pristine for the Grand, he knows how to take care of clothing well.

-One thing’s for sure is that he would love having a partner that likes to cook or who wants to learn how to cook. He can’t cook for shit, but he’ll def cheer you on.

-Has the tendency to hold you from behind while you're cooking and lean his head on your shoulder. A menace for your touch tbh

-Majima also has a thing for smelling you... Sounds weird but he likes whatever you put in your hair or on your body and associates those scents with you

-Wear his shirt in the house and he will combust and something will ensue ;)

-Makes u coffee in the morning if he manages to get up before you (or just stays awake the entire night…)

-He's pretty adventurous when it comes to dates, he really wouldn't say no to anything (maybe complain a bit, but never a no)

-Lets you decorate your shared home. Since he’s away a lot, it made more sense to him. He secretly likes bold and loud home stuff, so if you ask for his opinion on anything, he'll usually pick something super out of the box.

-You'll probably end up visiting him a lot either at The Grand or Club Sunshine to eat dinner with him whenever he's on break. His shift ends in the early hours of the morning, and usually by the time he gets home, you're already asleep.

-He considers the feeling super old-fashioned, but he really likes coming home from work to your shared home together. It makes him feel warm and fuzzy to be able to greet you at home and nuzzle/cuddle you after a hard day at work

Majima with a love interest who comes from a different culture (I'll keep it hidden so that everyone who has the same ritual can indulge! 💖) and how greetings are performed in this culture is through kissing both cheeks of the person you're greeting. I can just imagine beckoning him to lean down to plant two, deliciously soft kisses that linger a bit too long on those PERFECT CHEEKS OF HIS 😭

Majima is the type of guy who when he has a crush, if he can get any form of physical interaction with them, his heart just totally melts. Absolutely the type of man to let a hug linger just a moment longer than normal or to "accidentally" brush his hand against yours, all the while his heart is beating out of his chest.

The reason he tries to get away with these more subtle moves is because he's scared of rejection. He is used to most people being off put by his demeanor or appearance and doesn't want to come on too strong when he has a genuine romantic interest in someone. Chances are, he won't initiate romantic physical contact first in a serious way. He'll always find a way to spin it into a joke in an attempt to cover his true feelings.

This tends to work on most people he meets in Japan, as physical intimacy isn't something many will do there without knowing someone well. However, you're not Japanese and that throws Majima for a loop. He's not used to being greeted with things like a hug, whereas for you, you greet almost everyone you know by hugging them.

At first, Majima reacts kind of by holding his hands in the air, confused, saying something like "Oi, oi, what's with the hug" although secretly he loves it. What he does NOT expect is your next move.

You find his reactions to your greetings funny so you decide to greet him this time as you would with anyone in your home country. You beckon for him to bend down a little, his 6'1 body stands too tall for you to reach him without him getting closer. Confused, he does as you command only to be met with two soft kisses, one planted tenderly on each cheek.

For a moment, he doesn't react. He just kind of lets his head hang there, frozen in place, his eyebrows slightly raised and his eyes wide. Your giggle breaks him out of his spell and he tries to recover gracefully but it's too late. You already saw him blush and he knows you did. He covers his face with a gloved hand in embarrassment, saying "Ahh, whatcha laughin' at?" but the both of you know the truth: he liked that. Honestly, you liked it too.
