It was just about time for grub to be served to the Wardens currently in Ostwick, so Tamlen made his way to the growing line for food when he stood behind a Warden he didn’t know.

Eyeing up the other Warden in front of him in the line for dinner, he squinted. The man was taller than him and Tamlen was pretty confidant that the man was younger than him as well... Not by much though. A year or two at most.

“This Shem... His parents must have fed him something strange to get him to be that tall.” He whispered to himself and sighed. “Hamin, do not get worked up.” Tamlen said quietly, trying not to be envious of the man’s height.

Tamlen watched the older man in robes storm off, huffing and puffing about not getting his way, throwing empty threats around. For the most part, he was glad that there was now only one Shemlen he had to deal with, but one was still way too many.

He stepped closer, eyeing the book he was reading. He didn’t know what it was about but it was interesting enough to have this man reading it for such an extended period of time. “... So, are those books the Shems write actually any good?”
