Glamour Cantrip
This spell is, in essence, to make someone see what you wish them to. And it's really simple.
Obtain a pocket mirror. Breathe on it so that it fogs up. Write their initials in the fog.
"Vision clouded, tainted light,
what I wish shall fill their sight."
Before the fog evaporates, breathe on the mirror again. Breathe into it your desired illusion. What must they see?
Snap it shut so that the fog is encased. Then sit back and watch the fun.

Simple Ways to Practice Magick Everyday
Say a small prayer or do a short meditation before you get out of bed in the morning.
Write down dreams or visions you had.
Stir your first cup of coffee or tea counterclockwise to banish negativity and bad luck or clockwise to bring positive energy.
Draw daily tarot or oracle cards (you can also use a pendulum) for guidance.
Cleansing yourself and home using sound or smoke.
Ancestor or spirit offerings
Pick out your clothes, shoes, jewelry... ect with intention.
Write a sigil or petition paper and burn it.
Take a ritual shower. You can spice it up with candles, herbs, and crystals, or you can simply step under the water and imagine all the negativity and bad energy washing off you. You can also recite a chant.
Every time you look into the mirror, say an affirmation
Take a walk outside and ground yourself to Mother Earth.
Dance!! Dancing is an excellent way to rise the energy, and it helps with opening the sacral and solar plexus chakra and getting in touch with the inner child.

July Week 5: Magical Hodgepodge
This week is going to be a bit of a hodgepodge of things! Let's preface this week by stating some common snese safety rules, not only applicable to witchcraft, but to life in general.
When lighting candles or incense, mind the flames. Never leave something lit unattended, and always use fire safe dishes/ holders for incense and candles.
When dealing with bodily fluids of any kind, it is best to sanitize and clean before and after contact, or avoid contact altogether.
Before ingesting ANYTHING, make sure you know what it is! The same goes for making skin contact with things.
Monday - Blood Magic
Research/ New Page - What is blood magic, generally speaking? Define it! How has it been utilized in magical practices? What does blood represent? What are its associations? What are substitutes for it? What kinds of things can it be used for magically speaking? What mythological references are there to blood, in various cultures? What is it scientifically? How do you safely practice it and handle blood?
Tuesday - Healing Magic
Research/ New Page - Define healing magic. What is it? How does it work? Is it as straightforward as you think when you first say it, or is it more nuanced? What is traditional magical healing? Who performed it? How did they perform it? When, where and why did they perform it? What kinds of tools, plants, gems and so on are associated with it?
Research/ New Page - Gem Study - pick a gem off your list, or tarot card, or what have you if you're not studying gems, and study everything about it! Associations, history, myth and legend, mundane uses and purposes, everything!
Wednesday - Auras
Research/ New Page - Define Aura. What is an aura? How are they sensed? How are they seen? What do they look and feel like? What other senses react to auras? What do different colored auras represent to you? How can you practice sensing them? What do they mean? How do we utilize them?
Research/ New Page - Herb study - pick another herb off your list and study everything about it! Associations, myths, legends, mundane and magical uses, how it grows, everything!
Thursday - Familiars
Research/ New Page - Define familiar. What are they? Traditionally, how do you find one? How do you know when it is a familiar? What purpose do they serve? What actions can they take magically? How do you connect to them? How do you train them? Do you have one? What associations does yours have? What are mythological and historical examples of familiars?
Friday - Doing the Thing
Practical - Perform a spell! Find one online, in a book, or write it yourself! Lay it all out in your lab notebook and perform it! Record everything from the items used, to the steps taken, to when, where and how you did it! Record the results when you think it has worked or edit the spell if it needs adjusting!
Like I said, a hodgepodge of a week! But we're over halfway through the year guys! Thank you all for your continued support!

BLACK RITES
The Void itself is a very complex thing, it could be thought of as a place, and a force, and an Entity, or sheer entropy, because it certainly appears to have some characteristics of these things. The Void is not empty - it has birthed many spirits that shift in is depths. These are its Emanations, its Children, the Entities, the death-spirits.
Within this tradition, these spirits are sometimes called maras, meaning "the ones that bring death." There are also the Chthonians, the Dead Things in the Void, spirits of humans and other things which have died, and been drawn into it. Now, the entities known as Satan and Lilith are examples of one of the greater Entities that originates in the Void and expresses part of its nature. Many cultists who cannot comprehend the sheer alienness of the Void find it easier to approach the Void through veneration of Satan or Lilith. This is not incorrect, as Satan is very 'real', and it is possible to contact this spirit. Just as Lilith is a manifestation of the Void, there are other spirits that are emanations of Lilith as well, and they in turn have emanations.
While the Abyss could be cut off from this world, the Entities are able to slip between the cracks in the wall. They can be called deliberately, but they can also be invited into the world through pain and suffering. Where wars are fought, where pollution is rampant, where there is suffering and evil, there the Entities can be found.
It is possible to call entities out of the Void and into this world. This is something that is pleasing to those spirits, not because they like this world, but because it is difficult for them to intrude into it without assistance from this side of the barrier. They are very unpredictable to deal with, as they are manifestations of a force that is generally hostile to the cosmos. Void entities, whether greater entities like Satan and Lilith, or lesser entities, can be very dangerous to deal with.
A person doesn't need to worship Satan or Lilith, or other Entities, in order to serve the Void. The Void itself is the Absolute. It can help to have intermediaries, and so Satanism is a legitimate path to the Void, but it is the lesser path. The greater path is the Path that leads to self-annihilation in the Void, complete reintegration in the depths of the black ocean. Through total self-negation, you can learn to overcome the demiurgic impulses that force you to eat and shit and fuck according to the machine dictates. The Void wants to smash down all the walls and rape creation, again and again, until it is broken and bleeding from thousands of orifices. It will creep into this world, one soul at a time, seeping to every plant and leaf and raindrop, until this world is so blackened and infested that there is nothing left to save, no way back from the Hell that has become manifest on earth.

Shadow work concept suggestions:

Why do you practice magic? Is your drive derived from your being? Is it superficial and aesthetic? Is it of curiosity or interest? Is it selfish? Is it to deal with oppression or injustice?
You are not immune to propaganda. What have you been influenced by, without necessarily noticing? How have your influences affected your interactions with, and views of, the world?
When you have had interactions with non-corporeal entities, how has your subconscious, mental illness, neurodivergency, state of mind, influences, and/or bias affected your interaction and interpretation there of?
When you have been hurt by another, what is the core influence for your initial reaction?
When you discipline yourself or talk down on yourself, who’s voice do you speak in?
When faced with cognitive dissonance or self-doubt, how often do you give in to the Dunning-Krueger Effect?
If/when you experience imposter syndrome, why are you the person that you are in that moment?
When confronted with new information, how do you react? What is the core of the reaction you have?
Write down your morals and personal philosophy as succinctly and accurately as you can. Do your daily actions and words reflect those values?
What emotion makes you feel like your magic is strongest? Why is that emotion potent enough to cause that?
In moments when you have wished harm unto others, how have you justified such desire and how does that same line reasoning affect the way you engage with the rest of your life?
In moments when you have felt or been othered by a group of people, what is your initial reactive emotional state?
Contemplate the concept of infinity. The vastness of reality, both structurally and conceptually and your place within them.
How much of your persona is rooted in intertextualism? How does this affect the way you bond or engage with others? Does it effect how you interact with different age groups in a negative way?
When you categorize things, places, concepts, and people what criteria do you use? How does sorting this way affect your engagement with these various categorizations?
If you were to describe yourself without using your name, occupation, physical qualities, species, or interests what would it look like?
Is there any other way that you could practice magic and have it feel right? If you can think of some, how many are rooted in aesthetic and consumerism?
How can you, in your daily life, strive to ensure the health, growth, happiness and development of those around you? Even those whom you do not know.
What is your initial reaction to ignorance? What is the core of that reaction? How do you react to willful ignorance?
Would you stand up for someone downtrodden, oppressed, or attacked? Even if those around you would not? Would you want to? How can you become the person who does?
What does community look and feel like to you? Does your current community match your idealization of it? Is it possible for you to have an effect on the community?
When faced with the concept of death and mortality, what is your initial reaction? Does that reaction carry over to confronting its actuality? What are the roots of both reactions?

Remember, shadow work is not necessary for witchcraft. If doing shadow work is initially difficult for you to approach genuinely, I would recommend speaking to a licensed therapist. You can give your therapist talking points to explore with you in order to help you come to a better understanding. If you are struggling as a result of mental illness or you feel like you may be a danger to yourself or others, please reach out to someone to help you. There are programs that can help you, you may just need someone to look into it for you. Stay safe and stay grounded.
What other concept suggestions can you think of?

I recommend reading my piece on Eldritch Witchcraft before this blog.
Its hard to find resources on this practice yet quite a few pagans seem to flock to it like a hidden gem. Getting started on this path can be a little difficult for some, as there are some books out there that have been published but they can be somewhat obscure, and let’s be honest, cost a pretty penny. I remember seeing one for $52 online and that’s not including shipping.
In this blog I have compiled some basics of the practice just to get those who fancy this craft started on their journey. For the most part, this path isn’t set in stone, and can be manipulated to the casters will as they see fit. Most of the modern witches that delve into it are chaos practitioners or already practice Eldritch witchcraft. So this information is very basic but will serve as the foundation for one to build and discover their connection with the gods.
What is it?
A branch of Eldritch Witchcraft, It’s the practice of worship generally centered around the creatures created by the author HP Lovecraft. Originally he wanted to go with the term Yog Sothothary, however others would dub the mythos after Cthulhu, and later after the late author himself. As such, It isn’t uncommon to hear the practice referred to as Cthulhuism or Lovecraftian Paganism as well.
Are The God’s Real?
Well, technically yes but it also depends on how you look at things. Most people fall into one of 3 main categories on the subject.
⚜️ Egragores - This is a type thoughtform creation, a being of pure energy given life and sentience by the belief of multiple individuals. Those of Yog Sothothary can sometimes believe that the gods were created in this way, and it’s the belief and worship in them that satiates and feeds them. They are sentient, and have developed over the years into powerful gods.
⚜️ Alien-like Deities - This system is a little different from the first. It generally holds the belief that Lovecraft had a connection through his subconscious to the astral realm. In some retellings he didn’t even know it. When he slept he unconsciously connected with other worlds and dimensions, but didn’t understand them for what they were and so wrote them the way he did.
⚜️ Real Forms Of Historic Gods - This theory states that the beings Lovecraft saw and created were actually the real forms of other well known deity. The forms we see them as are either epithets or avatars. (An example would be Pan being an extent of Shub Niggurath) This makes it easier to work with us since our mortal minds can’t completely comprehend what lies on the other side and can go mad when seeing a god in its true form.
How to work with them
They work very much like other deity would. They command some sort of respect, and offerings. Typically they will tell you what kinds of things they prefer from you, this is not limited to offerings alone but also other correspondence as well. One thing to make note of though is that it is very common for them to greet you with an avatar of some sort. That way they can choose a form that best connects with you. These avatars can look like animals, humans, or other monstrous creatures. The possibilities are limitless. Sometimes they may even choose one that resembles their true form although not entirely because mortal minds can’t fathom it.
The last thing I have to stress is that while Lovecraft was a racist nihilist, those qualities did NOT pass into the deity of his mythos. Racism is a human trait, concocted through human concepts of bigotry. Deity don’t have the same concepts. They do not view race the way we do. To them, a human is a human. Their skin color doesn’t matter. This practice will never be one that works in a racist manner.
Types of Magick
For the most part people tend to gravitate a lot towards ceremonial magick. This is in part due to the fact that most of the stories involved with summoning the gods have a ceremony motif to them. However, if you’re not into this type of Magick you needn’t worry. Calling a deity can be worth more casual Magick. Personally this is the way I do it for the most part. It’s the intention the gods really care about not whether it’s a whole lengthy ceremony or not.
Symbolism
Each deity’s Symbolism can be derived from their respected texts. It’s important to remember that while the bigotry isn’t apart of their actual makeup some of the symbolism in the writing is. It’s not as cut and dry as the story presents though. Which has lead to many processing the information in various ways. For the sake of this blog I will list some of the more favored gods as well as what’s typically associated with them. However, you are free to draw your own conclusions, as much of this practice operates this way.
⚜️ Azathoth ⚜️
Known as the blind idiot god, he is said to be in an internal slumber dreaming up our universe. While the last part is often seen as just apart of the story for lots of practitioners the slumber of the great god isn’t always. Those who work with Azathoth work with dream magick. Believing it’s one of the only ways he can communicate with his followers. The other by using the messenger god to relay information.
⚜️ Yog Sothoth ⚜️
Son of Azathoth, he is typically regarded as the main god of the mythos by most of his followers. It is said he is called the key and the gate, the keeper of dimensions. Existing outside space and time. Because of this he knows all and is often called upon as a god of knowledge, divination, and dimensional travel. In the mythos he’s also associated with bringing back the dead, thus many practitioners view him as a god of necromancy as well.
⚜️ Shub Niggurath ⚜️
The wife of Yog Sothoth she’s a motherly deity that is said to appear deep in forestry areas, almost constantly creating life from opening mouths on her body. She’s seen as a benevolent goddess, one that stands mainly for fertility. In the story she creates milk to feed her followers. Those that drink it become known as Dark Young. From a realistic stand point, the dark young can simply represent her followers, some even view it as a title like priest or priestess. A lesser known association, however, is the belief that the dark young are the dead souls of those that worshipped her in life. They are said to appear on her behalf when she can not be present. Regardless of which one you hold to be true, milk is often used as an offering. She’s called to bless it with protection and fruitfulness, before it’s drank my the witch.
⚜️ Nyarlathotep ⚜️
Known as one of the most malevolent gods of the mythos, he’s said to wander the earth causing havoc. It’s also stated that he’s the messenger of the gods, talking word back to even Azathoth himself. Now, in reality he’s not seen as evil but rather a trickster god. Trickster gods often walk a grey area between light and dark, and can be known to teach in very unconventional ways. This matches what Nyarlathotep is about. Those that work with him can describe him as protective or even stern one minute then care free the next.
⚜️ Cthulhu ⚜️
Arguably the most popular of the mythos, this deity is another dream worker. The story says that the great one slumbers and reaches out to his followers through their dreams. Cthulhu is described by practitioners to be very knowledgeable and protective of those who follow him dutifully. He’s often seen to give gifts to those he feels worthy.
⚜️ Hastur ⚜️
Hastur isn’t always considered part of the pantheon because his creation is a little different from the others. He was only mentioned briefly in one of Lovecraft’s stories. He was later reimagined by Ambrose Bierce, in his short story “Haïta the Shepherd” in which Hastur was described as a the god of shepherds. He was later fleshed out again as a malicious god called the yellow king. Like Nyarlathotep, he isn’t seen as actually evil but rather a chaos or darkness deity. In practice he’s seen as a king, but this doesn’t mean he’s no longer a shepherd. On the contrary. A fair king is seen as both a ruler and a shepherd. He governs and lays down rules, while also protecting and guiding his people. That being said, those who have worked with Hastur often mention that he can be strict, and demanding of offering more profusely then any other deity. But when the castor complies he will be very protective and loyal.
Resources
I will add to this list as more become available, so feel free to link yours in the bottom so I can create a nice Hub. Also please remember that any symbol, regardless of whether it’s words, numbers, or sigils, has power when put down with intention. Even if it’s a symbol taken from a game. It may not have been created with real spirituality in mind but that doesn’t mean someone else can’t use it that way. Everything is just lines, squiggles, and circles until meaning is given to them.
⚜️ R’lyehian Text ⚜️
This is a text said to be given by Cthulhu in the story. While, in the story it’s only vaguely described, there are many people who have created their own versions. These ones I feel the most accurate to me. These are a free download that also comes with a free translator on site for those who just want to try it. The text comes in 2 variations.
• Dark R’lyehain Font Translator & Download
• Minor R’lyehain Font Translator & Download
⚜️ Magick Circles ⚜️
These are in no way meant to be the only circles you use. You can most definitely make your own. These are just some of the more popular ones people have uploaded online that are currently in circulation.
• Generic Magick Circle
• Chaos Star Magick Circle
• Azathoth Magick Circle
• Hastur Magick Circle
• Cthulhu Magick Circle
• Nyarlathotep Magick Circle
⚜️ Bestiary ⚜️
This was originally a tabletop game but it showcases seals & symbols for each deity and creature from the entire mythos along with where their placement is on the hierarchy. It’s a good starting point.
• Lovecraftian Bestiary
⚜️ The Elder Sign ⚜️
The sign is said to protect one against the outer gods. Although it’s not always used for this purpose in the modern craft. Sometimes it’s used as protection, not against the deity but bad energies as a whole. Again it all depends on the witch. Now there are technically 3 variations on this. One created by Lovecraft, another created by August Derleth, and a third depicted as a combination of the two.
• Lovecraft’s Sign
• August Derleth Sign
• Combination Sign
⚜️ Yog Sothothary Sefirot ⚜️
Originally the Sefirot, also called a Sephiroth, was a diagram in the Jewish Kabbala, that showcased the 10 powers, by which God would manifest. Since then their have been multiple variations created by practices, and this practice is no different.
• Lovecraftian Sefirot

I wanted to do a blog for this because unfortunately there isn’t a lot of free information circulating on the internet about this particular subject. Most people that practice it tend to keep to themselves, not wanting to share their craft because of the negative views some members of the community have, or they just don’t have a big enough platform to get their information out. Thus most of the information you can find has to be paid for. Not to mention most of the witchcraft community practices a more “traditional witchcraft” path, so stuff normally associated with the eldritch path often finds so much of itself draped in fantasy and rpg, that significant information on the real world witchcraft side of it can often get lost amongst the mess. For that reason, I feel this blog is a necessity.
Lovecraft
Now there’s a common misconception that Eldritch magick entails you to practice with Lovecraftian beliefs and beings. This couldn’t be more false. Lovecraftian magick also referred to Yog Sothothery is a specific branch of Eldritch magick but isn’t the whole of the practice. One does not need to work with it at all to be apart of this practice although many do. This blog has no intention of covering this subcategory any further! As I have a whole separate piece dedicated to it, Yog Sothothery
What is it?
Eldritch witchcraft, to put it simply, is the practice of witchcraft with the use of Eldritch entities. You can not practice it if you do not intend on utilizing some sort of Eldritch being. They are what make the whole thing Eldritch. Without them the practice is simple cosmic, chaos, eclectic, etc. The focus of this path relies entirely on the partnership with these entities and their energy within your magick.
Working the Mind
One thing to remember with Eldritch witchcraft is that the primary focus of this craft is going to be on your mind. Dream realms, astral realms, and gnosis all play a very important role within this craft and should not be over looked. I would say roughly 80% of what you do will be attached to one of these three things. This is because the beings you contact work with you predominantly in this fashion. Symbolic dreams and visions are the simplest forms of communication among the Eldritch. To ignore this puts you in a very weak position from a Magickal standpoint.
Now divination is definitely one of the things witches will use in this craft to help communicate but it can only get you so far. Most often what you get during divination coincides with the dreams, visions, and images they present to you. If this sort of thing is difficult for you to achieve, it’s recommended that you work on building up those strengths or at the very least request that the Eldritch beings you’re reaching out to assist you with that.
The Mindset
This craft comes with a particular mindset that’s imperative for execution. The acceptance that we are not alone within the cosmos. These beings can be considered extraterrestrial in many cases, but often operate through inter dimensional doorways. They are altogether “alien” to us both in physicality and mentality. They are spiritual/energy beings much like normal gods of earth but their place of origin exists far beyond the stars. To go into this with a closed mindset that we are the only life out there will only earn you disappointment.
The Entities
By now I’ve mentioned Eldritch entities quite a few times. So I bet you’re wondering what they are and how exactly do they work? Well for starters I must once again reiterate inter dimensional contact. Most Eldritch entities come from places either outside our dimension and elsewhere in the universe. Making contact means connecting to something far beyond our idea of normal. This also means you’re unfortunately never going to see them for what they truly are nor are you ever going to know their real name. Our mortality restricts us a great deal. The mortal brain can only process so much. As such, we can’t hope to be able to physically understand or see what they truly are or what they truly call themselves. So then how do they present themselves? With an alternative name, as well as an avatar or an epithet.
For those who don’t know, an avatar is another body that they inhabit. Think of a skin you upload onto your game character. While an epithet is the energy of certain characteristics and magickal traits the entity has, that’s been manifested into a separate being. As an example we can look at the goddess Hecate. She is often used with the epithets of the triple goddess or maiden, mother, and crone. All are separate forces focusing on specific energies but all are still Hecate. As for what these avatars and epithets will look like, that will be depending on you as the castor. The forms they tend to take appeal to the one they are working with as does the name they choose to share with you. Some have reported that the appearance can sometimes start as something incredibly familiar like an animal, and the name something very typical of that animal. Then, gradually alterations are made until it’s something that looks a lot closer to what this entity might actually be and sound a lot closer to its actual name. But, each one of us is different and what our minds can take will inevitably effect how these entities present themselves and how they spell with us.
So what of a hierarchy, pantheons, things normally associated with deity? Well, that’s the fun thing about Eldritch Witchcraft. It’s so vast that it’s not centered around one specific sect or pantheon for the most part. You can get 100 people all reaching out to the cosmos and each get a deity unrelated to each other. The expanse of the universe is that vast, and calling to a deity in this way is the equivalent of catching a single fish in the ocean.
Calling The Entities
When you decide to reach out to to the universe and call to an Eldritch entity I find it best to cleanse yourself first. A bath or smoke cleanse works best as does any spell for meditation that helps to open your third eye or work with your mind. Like all deities someone wanting the contact is the first step, sending a prayer or call out to the unknown is the next. Sometimes having an offering may help but these beings may be more particular about what they prefer in this sense. Sometimes you may have to call multiple times, over multiple nights. Other times you may get an answer rather quickly. Each of us is different. But one things for sure, when they do reach out for the first time it will typically be in a dream. From there you can perform additional mediations, divinary sessions, and spell work to get to know them more.
Tools & Magick
Like every practice, this as well comes with helpful tools and particular magick that the practitioner can use to better their experience. While none of these are needed they can assist and make things easier.
• Divination Tools - The most popular among Eldritch witches seemed to be oracle cards, spirit boards, and automatic writing tools, but any divinary tool may be used. It’s a good way to channel your Eldritch entity and communicate with them one on one.
• Edible Potions - it doesn’t matter if it’s tea, juice, or some other concoction. Lots of Eldritch energy can be poured into these drinks and consumed by the witch. Allowing the entity to work its magick inside them.
• Blood Magick - Eldritch deities respond well to blood magick because they can tie their magick to the individual much better. Likewise they can obtain a substantial amount of energy from that blood as well.
• Sigils - These are a great way to connect to specific energies and create a tag lock so that the Eldritch entity can not only draw energy from it but also fix a bit of themselves to the physical world making working with you easier.
• Fire - fire seams to be another great energy source for Eldritch beings. They will often flock to it when you light a candle in a ritual or hold a bonfire.
Closing
As stated above this is just a helpful base to get you started. What morals you follow, and rules you incorporate into the craft itself is entirely up to you and the entity you’re working with. Eldritch Witchcraft is extremely eclectic in that way and often is practiced as apart of chaos magick by many witches. Just remember, there is going to be many things in this universe you can’t hope to physically understand. Answers you won’t be able to receive because it exceeds past what your mortal mind is capable of knowing. Seeking these answers can drive people mad so learning patience, and acceptance of what you can not change is also a must.

I've thought about making a witch blog for a while. I returned to tumblr with noble reasons that don't matter anymore because I've been sucked back into the reblog vortex.
Best terms to describe my practices are animist, spirit based, and pagan. Interested in German, Italian, and American folk practices. I also have degrees in ecology/environmental anthro and like to tie these fields into my practice. This blog is used to share my research, experiences, and collect references. You can read my first welcome post here.
Note: this is not a tradfem, terf, folkish, new age, or conspiracy welcome space.
Occasional fandom posts tagged “tv” and by name

Name Banishing Spell
A spell I made with trans people in mind, but can be applied to anyone who would like to go by a name other than their birth name.
✒️Creation🖋
Merry meet! This is my first spell. I chose to create a name banishing spell, to aid me in getting people to drop my legal name and replace it with my name of choice.

I don’t have a cauldron, so I used a ramekin I had previously burned a creativity candle in, and made a small rock circle on my windowsill.

Even though my spell did not call for it, I lit candles and set Tiger’s Eye Jaspers around the rock circle for extra energy and mood setting.

The red pepper signifies the burning, passionate anger I have for the deadname, and the rosemary symbolizes new growth and a healthy transition.
🕯The Process🕯
I placed the spices in the middle of the ramekin, and at 11:59 I lit them to an embery glow. When it was time to ignite the paper, however, my lighter jammed. I lit the parchment using one of the candles. It burned fairly well, though it went out two or three times. When it had mostly burned, one small, minuscule flame stayed lit.

The flame burnt for well over an hour with no signs of stopping, so I had to smother it when I went to bed.
🔎Takeaway🔎
Here is my interpretation of the ritual’s results.
The lighter jamming after the candles were lit and I was supposed to burn the paper represents my family having a hard time coming to terms with and respecting who I am. It shows their refusal to be rid of the birth name. The paper being ignited by the already lit candles symbolizes my friends, and all they do to accept me and aid me in casting away what has harmed me. Sure, they may slip up from time to time, hence the relighting, but without them I wouldn’t be as happy as I am today.
As for the tiny flame that, yes, is still burning. I take it to mean that in some ways, I’ll never be able to fully escape the name, because of birth certificates, old documents, and relatives. However, that is but a lingering flame. In the grand scheme of things, though my start may be rough, I will be able to banish the name from my life in nearly all cases.
📝Conclusion📝
There were some hitches, obviously, but for my first ever spell I think it went fairly well. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t at least a little proud of myself.
If anyone else finds this spell helpful, please feel free to try it. I’d love to hear the results. If any more experienced witches have advice for my spell casting or setup, I’d appreciate the constructive criticism. Thank you for reading, and blessed be!
