Role Reversal AU MercyMaker 😔

Some thoughts:

The Zurich base probably explodes like in canon (I read on a role swap fic that the Zurich base is doomed to explode and the only changes are the casualties and I agree lol) and Angela gets taken and brainwashed

Who might she murder? Not sure to be quite honest, if I’m feeling angsty possibly Gerard (RIP)

I think maybe Amelie and Angela were close friends before, Angela pining for Amelie but she was already in a relationship so Angela didn’t pursue

So anyway Overwatch falls, Amelie slips off and becomes a gun for hire, while Angela takes on the name ‘Archangel’ and reeks havoc on battlefields for Talon, sometimes they see each other, but never speak nor meet (Mercy’s labeled as a traitor but Amelie knows differently)

Eventually, Overwatch comes back together, and Amelie’s sent to take down Talon!Angela and gets shot for her efforts but manages to break Angela’s visor thing which disrupts Talon’s control for a bit

The next time they meet, Amelie approaches first and might possibly shoot her with a sleep dart which results in:

Twice In A Lifetime

fandom: Overwatch relationship: Mercymaker word count: 2090 rating: G summary: Celestial beings of night and day, Amélie and Angela are forced to be apart for most of their time. Though, not for all of it. – written for @mercymaker-week‘s day 3 prompt - sun&moon  ☀️🌕💖 –

There really was nothing that could compare to her smile.

It was the first thing she always noticed, whenever that time of day arrived. The smile, so spectacular, you couldn’t possibly be a human to actually survive its beauty. Thankfully, that was exactly who Amélie was. After the first shock, the lines started to appear as a figure.  The soft outlines quickly made out her features, her light blond hair, the curves of her body and eyes as clear as the sky. Every day was even more beautiful.

“How was your night, love?” Angela spoke in a way, incomparable to any other sound.

“Tedious,” was usually Amélie’s answer, followed by a roll of her eyes.

She had discovered it was the best way to make Angela laugh. If there was something that could compare to the beauty of her smile, it had to be the sound of her laugh. Pearly, clear, one that made you want to join along or listen to the sound for eternity.

“Is that so?” she finally asked, hard to contain her amusement.

“Chérie, you know how it always goes…” Amélie persisted.
