It's easy to say he's just someone who likes visiting Alola; compared to his own home region, it's a bloom of vibrant green and a tropical rainbow, and it's surrounded by water. So, so unlike where he's from.

And, well, he does like it here, but his reasons for coming here aren't for sightseeing. No, he's not a tourist. He calls himself one, and has had to awkwardly explain that no, he's no missionary man, don't worry about it.

He just can't talk about why he's here.

His head whips to the side when he hears his name. Footsteps slow, he turns, and he goes to meet the kid halfway.

Seems like Ree always finds him before he finds them. Well, he guesses he sticks out like a sore thumb, what with the cross and looking like a pitch-black shadow in the sun.

"I gotta go home sometimes," he responds. He can afford to take some time to hang out with the kid; he likes them, after all. "'Sides, there's still a whole world to see."

The Togepi strapped close to his chest stirs in her sleep. She'd be a new sight for Ree.

"Looks like I missed a lot. Ya gotta catch me up."

They spot Wolfwood before he spots them.

Ree has known Wolfwood for a long time. Shorter than they’ve been in skull, but longer than pretty much anyone else. It started when they began noticing the same guy hanging around the docks for several days in a row every couple of months, and then they started to actually get to know him.

(Wolfwood isn’t like other grownups.)

Ree can’t help the grin that spreads across their face as they push their wheelchair with more force, calling out to him.

“— hey! Wolfwood! Wait up!!”

they used to be able to run way faster to catch up him easily, but … well, life happens.

“It’s been forever! Where the fuck have ya been?”

A Pokémon AU roleplay blog for Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum, written by Zacharie.

I have an affiliated Wolfwood blog over at @punisheye, so if you've seen that blog and then look at this blog and think "huh, this is familiar", that's why.

This blog was really only made to write with friends and get this AU that's been swimming around in my brain OUT!!!

PUBLIC VS. PRIVATE KNOWLEDGE.

Public:

His name is Nicholas D. Wolfwood, and he's a wandering priest looking to raise money for his orphanage.

He carries around a giant cross wrapped in cloth and belts; he calls it a "tool of [his] trade".

He's got an impressive set of Pokémon and is surprisingly adept at battling for someone from his region... wonder why!

He's a heavy smoker.

He's got a bit of a foul mouth and a bad attitude.

Extremely good with children.

The Togepi he's taking care of was found freshly hatched and orphaned in the green belt, its mother found dead near the nest.

Fluent in Spanish.

His team is: Midnight Lycanroc, Silvally (crazy!), Kangaskhan, Drampa, Mabosstiff, and Pangoro.

Really, when you think about it, there isn't much people know about this guy, and it's not possible to dig up anything online... weird, huh?

Private:

Wolfwood is an assassin for the organization—or really, the cult—the Eye of Michael.

He's an orphan and was taken from the orphanage by the cult as a child and, after combat training, underwent human experimentation that greatly accelerated his ageing.

Due to this, while he's only in his twenties now, he looks to be in his mid-to-late thirties.

Due to the Eye collaborating with the Aether Foundation and using research from the Type: Full project, the experiments he was put through gave him the RKS System ability.

He's one of the first successful subjects of the experiments.

The giant cross is actually a machine gun and rocket launcher.

He has a pouch with a few vials of suspicious bright blue liquid. It's possibly some type of full restore laced with some unknown substance, but it can instantly heal any of his injuries.

He has a Silvally—which he still refers to as Type: Full—that he stole from the Aether Foundation when it was still a Type: Null.

He's actually gone rogue from the Eye now after shooting and having his Lycanroc attack his former mentor.
