Zinnia Thaw was painted shortly before spring in anticipation of the upcoming warmer seasons in 2022. It was part of a Mounted Artifact Series that I made into objects. I recently found these versions that were made then to be available for traditional matting and framing.
The painting (original is pen, ink, watercolor and acrylics) was scanned and printed on 8x10 watercolor textured matte archivable 310gsm paper. Artwork is 5x7 on 8x10 paper laid into and 8x10 mat with a 4.5x6.5 window. This piece will fit into standard 8x10 frames easily. Print is signed by the artist.
I'm very surprised I have these. You should get after them. Thanks

Ruin in the Stand (2024)
I’ve been accused of my artwork taking an autobiographical slant without me knowing it and honestly they’re probably right. Inspired by a very large raven that visits our gardens daily and some of the vegetation I enjoy seeing on my trips to Richmond. Ruin in the Stand is a large pen and ink drawing that has been digitally colored and made available as prints.
Prints are available in two sizes and printed on 8x10 and 11x14 watercolor textured matte archivable 310 gsm paper. Artwork is 6x8 on 8x10 paper and 9x12 on 11x14 paper. All sizes are standard and make it easy for matting and standard framing.

I have a new piece out on tour with Lamb of God as they barnstorm with Mastodon across the country celebrating their landmark albums Ashes of the Wake and Leviathan. I was very early into my career as I started working with both of these bands but especially Lamb of God. From the end of Ashes through all the Sacrament run I was dragged kicking and screaming to be a professional by Lamb of God. They were extremely patient and willing to give me an opportunity to succeed. I’m extremely grateful and proud of the work we’ve done over the years. Check both bands socials and such for dates. Show up and get your face melted off.

Horseburner released the first single, "The Gift” off of their upcoming album Voice of Storms. They also revealed the artwork they asked me to make for the album. Hop on over to their socials for all the links and dates. A very huge thanks to Horseburner for the continued support and a chance to render a pretty hefty concept for this record.

I have never seen Bongzilla live. It hasn’t been from a lack of trying. They’re one of my favorite bands. There was always some silliness why I never saw them. They were in town or I wasn’t. I think I missed them in Austin one time by a day. They recently were here locally and I was having surgery. It’s just been chaos trying to see them.
So when they asked me to do a poster for their 4/20 shows I was over the moon. Such a rad band. It was a bit of a tight deadline but we got something rad into the printer on time. These will be available at their 4/20 shows and some will be at my store following the shows.
This poster also has massive sentimental value. I would talk with my friend John Hopkins what he wanted to do besides touring all the time. Did he want to plant roots? I worried about him cause he was a big guy. Jamming himself into vans, buses and planes had to take a toll on him. This is my bullshit. He never complained terribly about that stuff. I worried about him. He said he was going to go out with his boots on with a wink.
I told him he knew his shit with gear. He was always learning. He knew how to get the most out of equipment. It was time for him to start recording bands. This is something we both agreed on. If he didn’t blow out his ears on the road he would have a great chance at engineering, recording and producing records. We talked about this for years.
Time passes and he tells me he’s recording Bongzilla songs. I was more excited than he was I think. As I recall, they did a bunch of the recordings before and during the pandemic and the Weedsconsin record was born. It’s a banger. I’m super proud he got to do that. Many of you know John passed soon after this record. It devastated so many people cause like a I said John was a big guy. I feel real lucky John got to record that record before he passed. I feel even more lucky Bongzilla asked me to do this poster. Thanks to Bongzilla and Burlesque North America for making this happen. Burn one. Eat one. Free the weed!
5 colors. 100 silkscreen run.

From early 2023 I think. Could be 2022. Might finish this thought. A ways back I decided I would try and be better at drawing rather than being good at social media. Sure it’s a tool but on the other side it feels like a vapid bottomless hole that can never be filled. I’m continually inspired by other artists and contemporaries but comparative behavior just rots my confidence and creativity. Sounds like a me problem right? Who knows? I’ll share some more stuff. The eyesore continues.

Black Tusk have released a new song (Brushfire) off of their upcoming album The Way Forward. They asked me to render a version of their "Agatha” character for the cover art. There are some other drawings that go along with the artwork that will see light with its release. I also got to mess around with runes and some other decorative imagery throughout the release which I love to do. Thanks to Black Tusk for the opportunity and the continued support and collaboration. I’m looking forward to all of you hearing the new record. It’s a banger. I’m due for a Black Tusk show.
Check Black Tusk at their various spots for links and dates.
