I hope this year when policy comes down hurting intersex people that the rest of the queer community will stand with us and protect us. we are not treated well by the government and especially not by the right wing government. they do not like us. when they create exceptions in trans policy for us that is not to help intersex people it is to allow our continued abuse- they do so because they hate us. when they don't create exceptions for us they are also doing so because they hate us. I am sure they will also pass bills targeting exclusively intersex people. we are not immune here, we have targets on our backs too.

the intersex community is small and invisible. we have very few allies both inside and outside of the queer community. many people don't even know what the word "intersex" means. we desperately need solidarity.

so build connections with intersex people, check in on your intersex friends, and most of all fucking stand with us

Genuinely the #1 thing you can do to make sure trans people around you get gendered correctly is to just lead by example. Saying "hi this is [x] she'll be joining us today, could you show her [y]" is 100000x more effective and less scrutinizing pressure than a pronoun circle.
