Roommate!König who knows how to sew. his mother is a seamstress, and ever the mama’s boy, he’d be by her side as she worked as a child. she taught him how to stitch and mend clothes, the basics on how to knit too. whenever you have a shirt or pair of pants that needs mending he offers to fix it, “Let me get my needle and thread.”. it doesn’t matter if it’s a sock or shirt hem, he’ll dutifully stitch it like new. when you turn away he stitches his initials somewhere on the inside of the piece, the initials of his government name, letting you unknowingly hold on to it

Roommate!König who knows how you dress, what colors and aesthetics you adore. when holidays or events come up he tries his hand at making something for you, be it a hoodie and sweatpants or something with more flair. again, his initials delicately stitched inside, giving his name to you subtly. he doesn’t expect you to notice, and even if you did he would make up an excuse, “A special stitch my mama taught me.”, but he feels his heart pound against his chest when you wear whatever he made. heartbeat drumming in his ears, a rhythm so loud he hopes you can’t hear it

also I am in no way skilled writer and I haven't written in a long time but I love me some Konig and I had this idea so I thought I would go for it.

It really was just for fun. You never meant for it to get as far as it did. You and your friend found the account on tiktok and fell down a rabbit hole. Inmate penpals. You kept scrolling and scrolling, giggling and kicking your feet while your friend reenacted what the inmates would say. 

“We should totally write one.” You said.

“No way! What if they like killed someone?” 

You both side eye each other and laugh. How come murder can be so hot sometimes? 

You both decided that you would pick an inmate, and write them. 

You almost picked the cute guy with tattoos who exclaimed that he loves fat bitches fast cars and tattoos but your friend called dibs before you could. 

So you scrolled, and scrolled, and scrolled. 

Then someone caught your eye. 

He sat there clad in a grey tank top. He wore a face mask and his hair, dark brown, haphazardly thrown into a makeshift bun. His shoulders filled out the entire screen. You could see a jagged scar on his nose that peeked from under the mask and another scar that started above his left eyebrow and disappeared into the mask. He looked… big and mean. 

“Uhm Hallo, my name is König.”

His eyes seemed to dart around like he didn’t know how to act on camera and he was very soft spoken. 

“I have 1 year left until I am eligible for parole. Es ist langweilig hier drin, I would like someone to talk to. “ You couldn’t tell the color of his eyes but they looked sad. Tired and sad.

It was kind of cute. 

His voice was dark and yet kind at the same time. It made your tummy do flips. 

He then looked directly into the camera. You felt entranced almost like he was standing right in-front of you looking directly into your eyes. 

“Please write me.”

Fuck. 

“I want this one.”

Honestly I’ve never done this before so I’m not sure what to say. 

How is jail?

Im sorry you’re stuck in there. I heard the food sucks and you look like a big guy so you must need to eat a lot. 

I like to eat. I feel like we both have that in common. 

Im wishing this year goes by fast for you and you stay safe and sleep well.

You didn’t really know what to expect. What if this was some elaborate joke on TikTok and the inmates never actually received the letters. What if König did receive it and thought you were weird? What if he laughed at you? 

Fuck it.

You thought it’s only fair that since you know what he looks like, he should know what you look like. So you sent a photo of yourself with the letter. Nothing too crazy but definitely cute. You even sprayed the paper with your favorite perfume and drew hearts on the envelope.

Ive never done this before either. When they told me I was eligible I almost didn’t do it but I thought maybe it couldn’t hurt. It does get lonely in here.
