TEXT BUBBLE PSD TEMPLATE

I've been looking for a text bubble psd for the longest, even asking wcif only to be told it's just a screenshot from in-game...so, I decided to make it myself finally.

basic photoshop knowledge needed

double click "icon" it'll open the layer and just add any icon there and click save , it'll pop up in the psd.

double click the "shape" to change the color of the text bubble. I have the Dark UI mod, so I based the text bubble of that.

font comes with photoshop.

INFO: For some reason, I just didn't like the bottle feeder and decided to make my own. I was also heavily inspired by this bottle that added cute stickers and wanted a version for the baby animals! I used these icons for the stickers.

Finally getting around to Tatsuo's pov + some spoiler dialogues + story rant

anyways, I've been changing the story and went the early 2000s route so I like to think Mei and Tatsuo are obviously from a wealthier background + the family dynamics of a toxic marriage marked by unhealthy perceptions of loyalty. It's not surprising both Mei and Tatsuo comes from a traditional family background where divorce is severely frowned upon both socially and culturally, so it adds pressure to sweep things under the rug, including infidelity, to uphold the sanctity of marriage. also clear sign of enabling, where they both give excuses, ignores, or denies their destructive actions to save face in society and maintain the appearance of a 'perfect' family. "What we deal with, stays within the family."

Mei is obviously giving racial and socio-economic stereotypes, so feels threaten that Tatsuo went after someone like Irene. Irene embodies everything Mei isn't - she's black, American, plus-size, no college degree [yet] and from a less wealthy background. [reminder Irene was living in Japan before leaving the country to go back home.] Ofc this difference amplifies Mei's prejudices, deepening her feelings of betrayal and animosity towards Irene. [remember that slap she gave Irene? yup.]

I think Mei allows herself to believe that Tatsuo's affair was only due to Irene 'trapping' him or 'luring' him in with her, not because he genuinely fell for Irene. [I love my girl, Irene DOWN, but let's not forget that Irene was in fact doing it for the money, BUT she did feel something for him. They did try, but Tatsuo was giving possessive behavior that Irene didn't want to deal with him breaking in her apartment was enough for her.]

Anyways, let's talk about Tatsuo and Irene. He's on a thin line between obsession and love that's steering him towards destructive behaviors and compulsive tendencies that's leading to stalking-like behaviors. [spoiler: let's not be surprised with the next few chapters.] He's possessive, obsessive, manipulative, and lacks empathy, which we'll see how soon. One could also question what really happened during these first few months. I like to believe that Irene tried to make it work with Tatsuo, but immediately when he put his hands on her, Irene wasn't with that. [yes, he did hit her and that was the last time he ever put his hands on Irene.] I think Tatsuo immediately figured out the Irene is not Mei (!!!) , she's not the woman who'd save face and maintain appearance like Mei.

This makes me think of the "strong black woman" trope. The stereotype that black women are inherently strong and resilient that leads to the expectation that we can and should endure anything, including abusive behaviors or toxic relationships. Irene doesn't want that stereotype, causing her to leave. [It's a gross underestimation of the trauma we experience, our pain often overlooked or minimized, nothing new.]

Irene faces many challenges, including societal expectations, her traumatic past with Tatsuo, and the need to protect herself and her unborn child. Which, also explains why Irene "mask" a lot. Obviously she SHOULD be depressed and SHOULD take a break, but again that "strong black woman" trope is hard for her to break out of. Her plate is extremely full right now with a baby on the way, entering college, working on her culinary, falling for someone/exploring her sexuality and her small business. It's a lot.
