on one note, i am kind of surprised at how much people dislike Taash. They remind me of Sera but in a different font. Their brashness is merely expressed in different ways. To me Taash comes off as blunt and direct, I’d say its obvious and comes from growing up being taught the qun while not actively living in qunari society itself, and having a difficult relationship with their mother. (Erm:..hashtag relatable) I also think theyre autistic lol. But thats jus me... I suppose I didn’t expect the dislike to be so crazy. I think their identity issues could be more encompassed/written better, beyond their gender. The qunari or rivaini thing is so black and white its bizarre… and kinda contradicts the gender exploration thing.

I guess people don’t like their interactions w other companions. Mainly Emmerich probably. And that you cant really push back against their blunt attitude and can only acquiesce, which is completely fair ! and a critique I agree with. Taash comes off as close minded in social situations, but even that makes sense to me bc they were raised on the qun. And the qun is very role orientated obviously with no deviations. So uhh, yes. Like, Sten is stubborn and actively questions and even judges (or attacks lol) The Warden in origins, especially if you play as a Gworl. Tho thats probably why its awesome in that game to earn his respect.

Which is just something DA:TV struggles with in companions, and even then that concept is only something that matters to the two companions who can become hardened possibly. Which that falls flat within the story imo.. compared to previous entries. rambling now, ermmm. Video games
