even though splatoon 3 is kind of better than the other games in a lot of quality of life and optimization reasons, splatfests still don't have as much of the magic they did in splatoon 2

no idols streaming news from the concert platforms or in special ink colors / outfits, no shifty stations that add something new to Every fest, and even the news dialogue is a lot shorter than it used to be

i don't think tricolor battles are even worth losing all that stuff!!! especially since attacking teams can kill each other (despite fighting for the same cause!)

some things i hope nintendo adds to splatoon 3 before the game ends:

•side order expansion maybe? like challenge modes really anything, something that lets it stack up with icto expansion

•more hairstyles for octolings please, since they still have less than inklings do

•squid beatz return!!! it would probably go well with the jukebox since it already has a lot of splatoon 2 songs, and it would be a great chance for some new mechanics

•along with it, maybe maybe squid jump? way less likely though

•tricolor stages / splatfest ink colors in private battles? i feel like this might be likely as an endgame thing, but who knows

•return of marie's agent 4 factopedia, because it was super fun and interesting and i don't know why they didn't bring it back!!

a paragraph written a while ago purely from procrastination (it's really just a summary from their inkipedia page)

diss-pair's themes all seem to have to do with motion-related illness (their song names) and things that dont go together, specifically foods. the former can also go along with the fact that their group name is diss-pair, referencing dissonance, despair, diss-tracks, desparity, and the fact that warabi and ikkan are friends that often dont get along with each other (in the public eye). the latter of their themes is mostly seen in warabi and ikkan's designs. first, ikkan's shirt is "a reference to the notoriously bad food pairing of grilled eel and umeboshi", along with the group's japanese name being Gasshokukin, or clashing tastes, any two types of food that should not be eaten together. this is referenced even further with warabi's name, meaning bracken, a plant used in japanese dishes. combine bracken with octopus (warabi's literal species) and you get more gasshokukin!! the pair is even officially compared to "spilling some salt on a cookie", once again, more clashing tastes. summary: splatoon yaaaay!!!!!!

i like riot act too!! but seasource and amalgamania are the perfect blend of splatoon 2 era battle music and splatoon 3's loud heavy chaotic battle music
